We prove convergence of their difference analogues by means of recurrence inequalities in some wide classes of unbounded functions.

Opis:: Extremal coefficient properties of Pick functions are proved. Even coefficients of analytic univalent functions f with |f(z)| < M, |z| < 1, are bounded by the corresponding coefficients of the Pick functions for large M. This proves a conjecture of Jakubowski. Moreover, it is shown that the Pick functions are not extremal for a similar problem for odd coefficients.

Opis:: We study convergence of formal power series along families of formal or analytic vector fields. One of our results says that if a formal power series converges along a family of vector fields, then it also converges along their commutators. Using this theorem and a result of T. Morimoto, we prove analyticity of formal solutions for a class of nonlinear singular PDEs. In the proofs we use results from control theory.

Opis:: We prove the $L^p$-$L^q$-time decay estimates for the solution of the Cauchy problem for the hyperbolic system of partial differential equations of linear thermoelasticity. In our proof based on the matrix of fundamental solutions to the system we use Strauss-Klainerman's approach [12], [5] to the $L^p$-$L^q$-time decay estimates.
