The laws of Maxwellian electrodynamics are used in an analysis of the structure of the 4-potential of radiation fields. The paper examines multi-particle and single-particle effects of a radiating source. Causality of electromagnetic processes is an important element of the analysis. Covariance properties of the relevant variables are examined and the apparent non-covariance of the radiation 4-potential where A_{0}≡0 in all frames is explained. It turns out that the origin of this feature stems from the multi-charge properties of radiation. It is also shown how in every Lorentz frame one can use covariant properties of radiation fields and reconstruct an appropriate 4-potential.

The electronic structure of the Ni$\text{}_{2}$MnGa Heusler alloy has been investigated for martensitic transformation β$\text{}_{1}$ → β'$\text{}_{1}$ → β"$\text{}_{1}$ → β'''$\text{}_{1}$ by the self-consistent TB-LMTO method. The distortion influences the shape of the densities of states. The β$\text{}_{1}$ is the most stable phase. We present the values of total and local magnetic moments for all phases of Ni$\text{}_{2}$MnGa alloy.

In this study, the influence of Ti content on the microstructure of the martensite bcc α'), which was formed by thermal effect, was investigated by scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope observations, in Fe-30Ni-xTi (x=0.8, 1.8, 2.6) alloys. The crystallographic orientation relationship between austenite fcc (γ) and thermally induced bcc (α') martensite was found to be as (111)_{γ}/(011)_{α} (Kurdjumov-Sachs (K-S)), by the electron diffraction analysis. The martensitic transformation temperature (M_{s}) of α' martensite was determined as -41°, -62°, and -76 ° in the alloys with 0.8%, 1.8%, and 2.6% Ti concentration, respectively. The Mössbauer spectrometer analysis has been revealed by a paramagnetic character for the austenite phase and magnetically order character for α' martensite phase. Hyperfine magnetic field, isomer shift and volume fractions of phases were determined by the Mössbauer spectroscopy.

Cumulative isochronal annealing of stainless steel 1.4307 samples deformed by compression was investigated using the Doppler broadening of the annihilation line measurements. Higher level of plastic deformation is accompanied not only by higher concentration of defects but also by higher amount of α' martensite. The annealing studies revealed creation of defects in the temperature range between 450C and 650C pointing out the reverse transition of α' martensite to austenite. This is confirmed by magnetic susceptibility and microhardness measurements.

Research concerning the development of diagnostic methods of the state of the vehicle driving systems basic elements - have been carried on for many years. Modern diagnostic systems, regardless of being technically highly advanced or small degree only, concern about assessments of basic mechanical subsystems such as toothed gears or suspension elements. The information on state changes of mechanical systems can be obtained by an analysis of changes of nonlinear effects in such systems operations. Since the nonlinearity increase accompanies the system destruction, the separation of nonlinear parts of signals creates the possibility of the increase of an accuracy, reliability and application range of diagnostic methods. Technical state diagnostics for vehicles is much more difficult than for machines operating in stationary conditions. the main excitation source is an internal combustion engine, in which a rotational speed changes from an idle running (approximately 800 rpm) to a maximum rotational speed (e.g. above 5000 rpm). Thus, an application of classic analytical methods is not possible. the only solution is the transformation of the analysed signals into the "pseudostationary" ones, by taking into account changes in the engine rotational speed. One of the methods applied now a days is resampling (adaptation change of a signal time resolution in a digital form) performed on the basis of information concerning changes in an engine rotational speed. the signal from the sensor of the engine crankshaft location was used for the above application.

We begin with a pair of spherical particles encapsulated in a micelle and solve the problem within the self-consistent field theory to investigate the morphology transformation of the micelle induced by two nano-particles. The micelles are based on amphiphilic diblock copolymer AB in homopolymer A solvents. The nano-particles are simple models of proteins or colloids. We predict different micelle structures, and relate these morphologies to particle sizes, distances between two particles, and chemical potentials of the amphiphile molecules. There are found complex structures of the micelle induced by the twin particles: many reverse micelles only with even numbers or only one micelle attached at one of the two particles. These results are of immediate interests to the interactions of micelles and particles, as well as to the transitions between vesicles and micelles.

We consider structural change of a world trade-flow network for different commodities from 1995 to 2013. A minimum spanning tree is generated from the trade flow data, and we investigate the hierarchical organization of the tree by changing the hub node. Only a few countries are the hub nodes for many of the commodities. We observed the structural transitions, from a chain-like tree (many countries are hub nodes) to a bi-starlike tree (only two countries are hub nodes). In the bi-starlike tree, China and Germany are the only two hub nodes.

Opis:
Generation of acoustic shear waves in crystals is one of the main problem of acousto-optics. Launching of the shear waves is much more difficult than the longitudinal modes because of difficulties related to acoustic contact and also because of problems arising from matching of acoustic and electric parameters of piezoelectric transducer. We obtained the transverse waves as a result of longitudinal-shear modes reflection in a crystal. Crystals having the required effect should possess a strong anisotropy of their elastic properties to realize the effective acoustic mode transformation. In this paper, one of the important cases of the acoustic waves reflection is investigated theoretically and experimentally. The research was carried out in the crystal of paratellurite.

Clay is one of the most used natural materials in the ceramic industry with various applications such as pottery, tiles, cement and bricks. The latter are used as a building material because of their excellent thermal and mechanical properties. In the present study, Algerian clay from Al-maathed area, M'sila district, was used to prepare bricks. The chemical composition of the clay was determined using X-ray fluorescence. Firing of clay was carried out in the temperature range 20-1000°C, at different heating rates. The present phases and their transformations, the activation energy, and the sintering mechanism were evaluated using X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and dilatometry. The activation energy for the sintering mechanism obtained from non-isothermal treatments is 420 kJ/mol. The value of the Avrami exponent, n, is determined from the shape of the crystallization exothermic dependence. It is related to m parameter (a numerical factor which depends on the dimensionality of crystal growth) obtained by Matusita method. Both of which are about 1.2 for clay sintering. These values indicate that bulk nucleation is dominant in clay sintering by three-dimensional growth, with polyhedron-like morphology controlled by interface reaction.

We consider the Hamiltonian of a three-electron quantum dot composed of parabolic confinement plus the Coulomb terms. Instead of using the Jacobi coordinates, we apply a unitary transformation to this system. To avoid the complexity, the Taylor expansion of the effective potential is introduced into the problem and thereby a solution is found for the eigenvalues of the corresponding three-body Schrödinger equation in terms of the Wigner parameter.

In the present paper the phase transformations occurring in hot worked and heat-treated Ni-rich NiTi shape memory alloy were studied using X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry and bend and free recovery measurements. Based on conducted measurements it can be seen that in the studied alloy two-step B2 ↔ R ↔ B19' phase transitions occurred. Due to the fact that during heating the phase transition B2 → R and R → B19' occurs in a very narrow temperature range and differential scanning calorimetry peaks overlap additional X-ray diffraction measurements were performed. Obtained characteristic temperatures from applied different experimental methods are in good agreement. The optimum heat-treatment was selected to obtain rods with a shape recovery temperature A_{f} below 37°C to prepare prototypes of medical implants activated by patients body heat.

The Cu-Al-Mn shape memory alloys having various chemical compositions were prepared by arc melting method to control the phase transformation parameters. The phase transformation parameters and structural properties of the alloys were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and optic microscopy, respectively. The effects of the chemical composition on characteristic transformation temperatures, enthalpy and entropy values of Cu-Al-Mn ternary system were investigated. The characteristic transformation temperatures of austenite and martensite phase ($A_{s}$, $A_{f}$, $M_{s}$, and $M_{f}$) are increased with change in the chemical composition of the alloys. The average crystallite size for the alloys was calculated to determine the effect of aluminum and manganese compositions on the transformation temperatures. The change in transformation temperatures indicates the same trend with change in crystallite size. The obtained results suggest that the phase transformation parameters of the Cu-Al-Mn alloys can be controlled by Al and Mn contents.

A Darboux-Bäcklund transformation is used to obtain a positon type solution of the nonlinear equations describing the propagation of coupled nonlinear optical pulses.This form of the positon solution is then compared with that obtained by the special limiting procedure applied to a two-soliton solution. It is observed that though the algebraic form of the two solutions is different yet both of these have singularities and the position of the singularities remains on the similar curve in the (x,t) plane. We also depict the form of these solutions graphically. Finally, it may be added that the method of Darboux-Bäcklund transformation is convenient for generating more than one-positon solution.
