Opis:: Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie struktury systemu zaopatrzenia przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych branży hutniczej w żelazostopy. Żelazostopy są to materiały sypkie, jako stopy przejściowe zawierające pewne ilości żelaza i jeden lub więcej pierwiastków, z których najczęściej dodawany jest krzem, mangan i chrom, będące składnikami stopowymi. Do najważniejszych żelazostopów wytwarzanych masowo zalicza się żelazokrzem, żelazo mangan, żelazochrom, żelazomanganokrzem i żelazonikiel. Żelazostopy są stosowane głównie jako stopy przejściowe w hutnictwie żelaza. Żelazostopy stosowane w hutnictwie są surowcem jednorodnym, o podobnym wyglądzie i zbliżonej gęstości, gdyż głównym pierwiastkiem stopowym jest żelazo. Żelazostopy stosowane jako dodatek w produkcji stali poprawiają takie własności stali, jak wytrzymałość na rozciąganie, odporność na ścieranie i korozję. Poza sektorem stalowym stosuje je przemysł aluminiowy, przemysł chemiczny. Głównym problemem badawczym jest kwestia prawidłowego przeprowadzenia procedur związanych z załadunkiem, transportem i rozładunkiem żelazostopów używanych do dalszych procesów produkcyjnych. W wykonanej pracy logistykę zaopatrzenia należy rozumieć jako organizację dostaw. W niniejszej publikacji przedstawiono uczestników procesu zaopatrzenia, jak również wskazano na obostrzenia proceduralne podczas transportu żelazostopów do przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych. Przedstawiony zakres zarządzania logistycznego na przykładzie łańcucha dostaw żelazostopów stanowić materiał poglądowy typu case study.
The aim of this article is to present the structure of the supply system for steel production companies in ferroalloys. Ferroalloys are treated as loose materials, as transitional alloys containing some iron and one or more elements, most commonly silicon, manganese and chromium, which are alloyed. The most important ferroalloys produced in mass are ferrosilicon, manganese iron, ferrochromium, ferrous manganese. Ferroalloys are mainly used as transition alloys in the iron industry. Ferroalloys used in metallurgy are homogeneous, with a similar appearance and similar density, since the major alloy element is iron. Ferroalloys used as an additive in steelmaking improve the steel properties such as tensile strength, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance. Outside the steel industry, they use the aluminum industry, the chemical industry. The main research problem is the proper handling of the procedures related to the loading, transport and unloading of ferroalloys used for further production processes. In the work done, the logistics of supply should be understood as the organization of supplies. This paper presents the participants in the procurement process as well as the procedural restrictions during ferroalloy transport to manufacturing companies. The ferroalloy supply chain is used as case study.

Opis:: For years, the logistics and supply chain industries have been optimized to reduce cost, minimize the carried inventories and increase the efficiency of assets utilization. Besides that, the impact of industrial revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) has queried for more new skills for a more demanding job scope. In particular, many traditional operation methods have been gradually replaced by automation-based operation. Hence the requirement for upskilling and reskilling became appealing. The present paper discusses the role of upskilling and reskilling during IR 4.0, a method to implement upskilling and reskilling training, the role of the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF), as well as the challenges faced during the implementation of reskilling and upskilling in the logistics industries. Methods: Inductive reasoning is employed in the paper, which is backed up by a study of related scholarly journal papers to uncover the Malaysian upskilling and reskilling requirement in the logistics industry during IR 4.0from both intrinsic and extrinsic lenses. Results: The paper claims that changing the workplace and workforce, increase employees competitiveness and costeffectiveness in long term is the main importance of upskilling and reskilling. Nevertheless, firms cannot disregard the needs for technical and human skills as well as the HRDF initiatives. These include the creation of a digital culture with the right training and development to uphold the local experts. Conclusions: Despite the paper's qualitative approach, the findings will provide a clearer understanding of the upskilling and reskilling requirements for IR 4.0, as well as a foundation for future study. This paper proposes an alternative strategy to diversify the economy and enter IR 4.0 for a developing country that is dependent on a non-renewable source.

Opis:: Background: Challenges in today's business environment require from logistics and supply chains managers continuous searching for innovative methods in business processes management, oriented to the simultaneous achievement of the Triple Bottom Line effects, namely economic, social and environmental. As a result, the concept of sharing economy is nowadays gaining rising significance among business practices. It has positive impact on building and development of collaborative relations between business partners in value chains as well as between potential market competitors. Sharing economy in logistics and supply chain management determines the requirement to manage companies' potential and relations between them in a different way. Materials and results: The paper is based on a desk research. The authors conducted a review of recent literature, reports of international institutions and consulting firms, conference presentations, materials provided by companies, professional business movies and other Internet sources. As a result of the materials analysis, different best practices in sharing were described and success factors for their development in logistics and supply chain management were indicated. Conclusions: The development of sharing practices is one of the most important aims of the managers responsible for business processes management in supply chains, especially for logistics processes. The presented sharing practices highlight different implementation possibilities and their significant influence on business activities in various aspects. Despite the variety, sharing practices have common characteristics, which could be indicated as their operational and strategic success factors. They enable the authors to present practical recommendations addressed to logistics and supply chain managers.
Wstęp: Wyzwania współczesnego otoczenia biznesowego wymagają od menedżerów logistyki i zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw ciągłego poszukiwania innowacyjnych metod zarządzania procesami biznesowymi, zorientowanych na równoczesne osiąganie efektów Triple Bottom Line, czyli ekonomicznych, społecznych i środowiskowych. W rezultacie, obecnie wśród praktyk przedsiębiorstw coraz większe znaczenie zyskuje koncepcja ekonomii współdzielenia. Ma ona pozytywny wpływ na budowanie i rozwój relacji współpracy zarówno pomiędzy partnerami biznesowymi w łańcuchach wartości, jak i pomiędzy potencjalnymi konkurentami rynkowymi. Ekonomia współdzielenia w logistyce i zarządzaniu łańcuchami dostaw tworzy potrzebę odmiennego sposobu zarządzania potencjałem przedsiębiorstw i relacjami między nimi. Materiały i rezultaty: Praca powstała na podstawie analizy źródeł wtórnych. Autorki przeprowadziły przegląd najnowszej literatury, raportów z badań międzynarodowych instytucji i firm doradczych, prezentacji konferencyjnych, materiałów udostępnionych przez przedsiębiorstwa, profesjonalnych filmów i innych materiałów internetowych. Na podstawie analizy materiałów źródłowych, przedstawiono różnorodne najlepsze praktyki współdzielenia zasobów i wskazano czynniki sukcesu ich rozwoju w logistyce i zarządzaniu łańcuchem dostaw. Wnioski: Rozwój praktyk współdzielenia zasobów stanowi ważny cel menedżerów odpowiedzialnych za zarządzanie procesami biznesowymi w łańcuchach dostaw, w tym w szczególności za zarządzanie procesami logistycznymi. Zaprezentowane przykłady przedsięwzięć sharingowych określają różnorodne możliwości zastosowań i ich istotny wpływ na działalność przedsiębiorstw w różnych aspektach. Pomimo różnorodności, można wskazać ich wspólne cechy mające charakter operacyjnych i strategicznych czynników sukcesu. Umożliwiły one autorkom sformułowanie rekomendacji mających walory aplikacyjne, skierowanych do menedżerów logistyki i zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw.
