W artykule zaproponowano i zaprezentowano koncepcję sześciu znaczeń miejskiej przestrzeni publicznej: użytkowego, interakcyjnego, obywatelskiego i politycznego, aksjologicznego, symbolicznego oraz tożsamościowego. Zostały one wyróżnione w oparciu o dane uzyskane w trakcie kilku autorskich i współautorskich projektów badawczych dotyczących społecznego funkcjonowania i doświadczania przestrzeni publicznych prowadzonych w różnych miastach Polski w latach 2010–2017. Podstawę teoretyczną artykułu stanowią założenia kulturalistycznego i socjoprzestrzennego nurtu w socjologii miasta podkreślające relacyjność człowieka i społeczności w stosunku do użytkowanej przez nich przestrzeni.
The article presents the idea of the six roles of urban public space. These roles are: utility, interactive, civic and political, axiological, symbolic and identical. Their identification is based on data obtained from several research projects conducted by the author and co-authors, which concerned the social functioning and experiencing of public spaces by the inhabitants in various Polish cities in the years 2010–2017. The theoretical basis of the article was formed on the assumptions of culturalism and the socio-spatial approach to urban sociology, which emphasize the relationship of individuals and their community with respect to the spaces they utilize, individually and collectively

Celem artykułu jest ustalenie wpływu determinant geoprzestrzennych1 na zachowania nabywców nieruchomości mieszkaniowych w przestrzeniach zurbanizowanych. Zachowanie konsumentów na rynku nieruchomości mieszkaniowych zależy w dużej mierze nie tylko od czynników wewnętrznych (nieprzestrzennych) charakteryzujących nieruchomości przede wszystkim od strony funkcjonalno-technicznej, ale również od czynników zewnętrznych (geoprzestrzennych) opisujących główny atut każdej nieruchomości mieszkaniowej, czyli jej lokalizację w strukturze przestrzeni zurbanizowanej. W celu zrealizowania założeń artykułu przeprowadzono badania geostatystyczne na podstawie danych z rynku nieruchomości lokalowych miasta Bytom.
The article’s goal is to determine an impact of geospatial factors on a behavior of residential properties purchasers in urban spaces. The behavior of real estates market consumers doesn’t depend mostly only on internal non-spatial factors which characterize functional-technical real estates features. Most of all it depends on the external geospatial factors which describe the major asset of any real estate – its location in the spatial urban structure. The geostatistical analysis of Bytom city residential property was carried out to reach the article’s goal. The methods used in the article consisted of testing spatial autocorrelation (Global Moran I, General G Getis, Local G Getis) spatial interpolation, namely: Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) interpolation, Radial Basis Functions (RBF) and Ordinary Kriging. The authors tested the impact of many geospatial factors such as the proximity to roads, green areas, the density of the poverty, location of banks and many more on the transaction prices of residential properties. The tools used for that were the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). The finally constructed model consisted of such factors as the density of violence, the unemployment density, the alcoholism density, the market square proximity and the location of dead bodies.

The presented algorithms employ the Vector Space Model (VSM) and its enhancements such as TFIDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency) with Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). TFIDF were applied to emphasize the important features of documents and SVD was used to reduce the analysis space. Consequently, a series of experiments were conducted. They revealed important properties of the algorithms and their accuracy. The accuracy of the algorithms was estimated in terms of their ability to match the human classification of the subject. For unsupervised algorithms the entropy was used as a quality evaluation measure. The combination of VSM, TFIDF, and SVD came out to be the best performing unsupervised algorithm with entropy of 0.16.

Artykuł stanowi kontynuację rozważań podjętych nad zagadnieniem aksjologii przestrzeni w ujęciu architektoniczno-krajobrazowym. Założono, że odpowiedzenie na wartości występujące w przestrzeni i urzeczywistnienie w pracy twórczej wartości (szczególnie krajobrazowych) podnosi jakość przedsięwzięcia i sprzyja materializacji nowych wartości w przestrzeni. Podjęto próbę usystematyzowania pojęć związanych z aspektami aksjologicznymi, skupionymi wokół krajobrazu, który podobnie jak architektura, jest elementem definiującym przestrzeń.
This article is a continuation of the author’s reflections upon the problem of space axiology viewed from the perspective of architecture and landscape. It has been assumed that responding to values present in spaces and realisation of values in artistic work (particularly landscape values) improves the quality of a given undertaking and promotes materialisation of new values in a space. An effort has been made to systematise the concepts related to axiological aspects of landscape, which – similarly to architecture – is a space-defining element.

The article presents the axiological aspects of mobility management. On selected examples of space design, illustrated with pictures from Polish cities, it shows how choices in the area of organization of transport and space are connected with values, even if the authorities are unaware of the ethical aspects of their choices. The examples analyzed in the article were selected to demonstrate how values can differ in different space designs. At the same time they highlight the importance of ethical issues raised by planning mobility in cities. They aim of the article is providing the reader with pictures and accurate descriptions of model situations, in order to introduce these issues to a broader public and show the ethical dimension of city planning to readers not familiar with these issues.

We use Green's function of a suitable boundary value problem to convert the variational problem with quadratic functional and linear constraints to the equivalent unconstrained extremal problem in some subspace of the space L2 of quadratically summable functions. We get the neccessary and sufficient criterion for unique solvability of the variational problem in terms of the spectrum of some integral Hilbert-Schmidt operator in L2 with symmetric kernel. The numerical technique is proposed to estimate this criterion. The results are demonstrated on examples: 1) a variational problem with deviating argument, and 2) the problem of the critical force for the vertical pillar with additional support point (the qualities of the pillar may vary discontinuously along the pillar's axis).

This paper presents a completely mathematical equations based model on control of torque and speed of a three-phase indirect vector controlled VSI fed cage induction motor drive that is controlled through the space vector modulated method. This enables a wide range of acceptability of the model for various values of load and for various types and ratings of induction motors. The uniqueness of the model lies in the fact that the deviations in the torque and speed on sudden application of reference step change in speed values are minimum i.e. when any sudden change in the speed reference is desired, the speed and torque waveforms reveal that the time taken in coming back to their final steady state values is very less and the motor overcomes the perturbation with negligible transients. The same is verified through the simulated results.

Artykuł przedstawia rolę, jaką analiza strategiczna pełni w ocenie działalności przedsiębiorstwa turystycznego. Dla realizacji tego celu przedstawiono specyfikę działalności przedsiębiorstwa turystycznego, opisując różne jego rodzaje oraz prezentując determinanty organizacyjne, prawne rozwoju tych przedsiębiorstw, a także bazę techniczno-materiałową stanowiącą podstawę prowadzonej działalności. W dalszej kolejności omówiono funkcje analizy strategicznej w przedsiębiorstwie turystycznym. Scharakteryzowano wybrane metody analizy strategicznej, przedstawiając ich zastosowanie w ocenie działalności różnych przedsiębiorstw turystycznych.
The article presents the role that the strategic analysis plays in the assessment of a tourist enterprise's operations. In order to achieve this objective the peculiarity of a tourist enterprise's operations is presented, including a description of its different types and a presentation of organisational, legal determinants of these enterprises' development, as well as the technical and material base which forms the basis for the operations being run. Further, the article covers the functions of the strategic analysis in a tourist enterprise. Selected methods of the strategic analysis are characterised by presenting their application in the assessment of different tourist enterprises' operations.

We consider ordinary differential equations \(u'(t)+(I-T)u(t)=0\), where an unknown function takes its values in a given modular function space being a generalization of Musielak-Orlicz spaces, and \(T\) is nonlinear mapping which is nonexpansive in the modular sense. We demonstrate that under certain natural assumptions the Cauchy problem related to this equation can be solved. We also show a process for the construction of such a solution. This result is then linked to the recent results of the fixed point theory in modular function spaces.

The gradient method is developed for non-injective non-linear operators in Hilbert space that satisfy a translation invariance condition. The focus is on a class of non-differentiable operators. Linear convergence in norm is obtained. The method can be applied to quasilinear elliptic boundary value problems with Neumann boundary conditions.

With this optimization, the cargo will increase and the ship's revenue will also be more. The LCU ship that we know so far is a ship whose cargo is always above the main and the space under the main is unused Void Space. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimization value of the use of space under the main deck of the Landing Craft Utility (LCU) ships. method used in this study is a comparison with several previous ship approaches to produce evaluation results from the addition of loading space under the main deck and calculation of stability using computational software approximation. LCU design of under main deck space with a maximum vehicle value can accept a vertical moment of 2750 mm. With a structural strength of 13150 tons. A series of numerical experiments show that the proposed method can effectively produce a satisfactory LCU ship design optimization plan for ship owners.

Celem prezentowanego opracowania jest próba oszacowania wartości wybranych udogodnień z punktu widzenia ważniejszych podmiotów sfery realnej gospodarki po obu stronach granicy administracyjnej Krakowa, czyli wzdłuż północnej granicy administracyjnej miasta (dwie dzielnice: Prądnik Czerwony i Prądnik Biały) oraz obszar bezpośrednio po drugiej stronie granicy Krakowa, który należy do Gminy Zielonki. Celem badania jest wnioskowanie o udogodnieniach w obszarach przestrzennie bliskich, sąsiadujących, należących do obszaru metropolitalnego, ale przedzielonych granicą administracyjną miasta centralnego. Udogodnienia dotyczą infrastruktury, przestrzeni i usług publicznych oraz reprezentują zarówno elementy fizyczne, jak i pożądane zjawiska.
The aim of the paper is to estimate the value of selected amenities of infrastructure, space and public services on both sides of the border of Cracow City, Poland. The assessment of the amenities’ value is conducted from the perspective of residents and businesses. Residents of both regions express needs for amenities and suburban residents generally estimate their value higher. Companies from both areas are not interested in improvements of amenities. Meanwhile, the administrative border of the city does not differentiate significantly companies (size, employment, wages) and polarizes households in terms of a socio-economic profile.
