The subject of the article is a role of metaphor in Józef Tischner’s philosophy. In late seventies he shaped an idea of „thinking within metaphor”, which was an essential modification of phenomenological method Tischner used before. Metaphorizing is not only an unliterally language expression, but also the metaphysical statement, that the world an human experience cannot be described in strict concepts. Metaphors and symbols have their own logic and hermeneutics, which shows their inner tensions. I proposed a new approach to Tischner philosophy, which allows unveil this „life of metaphor”.

The article discusses the possibility of reading women’s autobiographies with the main focus on the lives non-human animals. Drawing on the theory of autobiography and the field of animal studies I argue that it is feasible to extract valid and accurate accounts of numerous human-animal relationships or find traces of various animal experience whereby animals can be recognized as agents and subjects.

Opis:
Educating multicultural groups is not easy as a teacher has to deal with students from different cultural backgrounds in limited space and time. Still, it is feasible, provided that we are able to create a positive and trusting classroom environment in which all students are made to feel valued, respected and welcome. The one that combats stereotypes and prejudices allows multiple perspectives and ways of thinking and helps students develop a positive self-image. In such a classroom students can develop not only knowledge and skills, but also multicultural awareness, if only they are willing to coexist and cooperate with each other as well as accept and appreciate their varied backgrounds. Some points that I found to be the keys to success in my applied research are: culturally responsive teaching and differentiated instruction taking into account not only cultural diversity but also different learning styles andpreferences. Apart from their flexibility in the area of methodology, a teacher should use a multisensory approach to appeal to different learning styles.

The aim of catechesis is not simply to give information to interlocutors about the Catholic faith. Catechesis seeks to do much more than this, with its ultimate aim being that of putting the human being in communion with Christ. This is achieved through the six tasks of catechesis which need to be deeply embedded in human experiences. The six tasks through which catechesis seeks to achieve its endeavours include: knowledge of the faith, liturgical education, moral formation, formation in prayer and methods of prayer, education for community life and missionary initiation.

Il contributo intende porre in rilievo, in modo essenziale e sintetico, i principali momenti dell’esistenza di don Luigi Giussani che si sono rivelati particolarmente decisivi per la genesi, il prendere forma e la maturazione della sua concezione dell’educazione. Questi momenti si sono verificati nella vita della sua famiglia, nell’arco di tempo della sua formazione nel Seminario di Venegono, nel periodo dell’insegnamento della religione al Liceo Berchet di Milano e negli anni della maturità e della vecchiaia. Riflettendo sull’esperienza vissuta ogni volta in tali circostanze, Giussani ha progressivamente delineato una concezione dell’educazione che ha per proprie fondamenta la realtà, l’esperienza, la ragione, la bellezza, la libertà, e che si presenta oggi come valida non più solo per gli adolescenti e per i giovani, ma anche per ogni persona in tutte le età della vita.
Artykuł ma na celu uwydatnienie, w sposób spójny i zwięzły, najważniejszych momentów w życiu ks. Giussaniego, które okazały się szczególnie decydujące dla powstania, kształtowania się i dojrzewania jego koncepcji wychowania. Momenty te miały miejsce w jego rodzinie, w okresie jego formacji w Seminarium w Venegono, w czasie, gdy uczył religii w Liceum Berchet w Mediolanie oraz w latach dojrzałości i starości. Zastanawiając się nad doświadczeniami przeżywanymi za każdym razem w tych okolicznościach, Giussani stopniowo tworzył koncepcję wychowania, która za swoje fundamenty ma rzeczywistość, doświadczenie, rację, piękno, wolność, i która dzisiaj okazuje się cenna nie tylko dla nastolatków i ludzi młodych, ale również dla każdego człowieka w każdym wieku.
The contribution intends to highlight, in an essential and synthetic way, the main moments of Fr. Luigi Giussani’s life that have proved to be particularly decisive for the genesis, taking shape and maturation of his conception of education. These moments occurred in the life of his family, in the span of his formation in the Seminary of Venegono, in the period of teaching religion at the Berchet High School in Milan and in the years of maturity and old age. Reflecting on the experience lived each time in such circumstances, Giussani has progressively outlined a conception of education that has as its foundations reality, experience, reason, beauty, freedom, and which presents itself today as valid no longer only for adolescents and young people, but also for every person in all ages of life.

Should we approach the lived experience and/or understand the other with the sense of things? If this is the case, how are we to treat the human experience par excellence? Paradoxically, Edith Stein gives a fresh meaning to the Husserlian term “leiblicheSelbstgegebenheit.” In contrast to Max Scheler’s account, she develops the “persönliche Note” criterion of authenticity. And against Maetin Heidegger’s existential philosophy, a concern for human existence itself resonates. Based on these three dimensions, this article discusses the idea of “the lived experience” according to Edith Stein, that is, the human experience contemplated by the humanities.

The paper presents an analysis of human existence which, according to Master Eckhart, plays between unity (Deity) and multiplicity (world). The paper consists of three parts: 1) the presentation of the idea of the Absolute: the Absolute as passive Deity and active God; man cannot get to know the Absolute but only experience it in the creation; the Absolute is present in the things of the world and in the soul of man; Deity has two main features: depth and unity; 2) the presentation of the idea of man: man as the image of God is an ontic unity; he has two powers: mind and will; there is a reflex of the divine depth in the human mind; a man can contemplate the divine image of the Son in his mind after his purification; a man is not only an ontic unity, but he should become a unity in the existential sense; 3) the presentation of the process of the unification: it takes place in will and mind; a man should subordinate his will to the will of God and purify his mind from all ideas in order for the divine Word to be born.

Human capital is a category that has been the subject of economists’ considerations for years. Numerous concepts, research approaches and various ways of classifying capital have appeared. Since the 1990s, in accordance with the fundamental principle of dualism, according to which capital is an abstract category, an alternative scientific research program has been conducted in the field of measuring human capital and fair wages. This program was initiated by M. Dobija and has been followed by a team of researchers from the Cracow University of Economics. The program in question is based on a proper understanding of the capital category. It has been consistently developing, and the scientific research covers a wide range of theories related to human capital and fair remuneration. The purpose of this study is to present the impact of capital from experience on the level of the fair remuneration of employees. The human capital model, in the presented considerations enables the measurement of employee qualifications in monetary units and a fair pay model. A case study on the impact from experience capital on the level of fair remuneration of employees was also presented.
Kapitał ludzki to kategoria, która od lat stanowi temat rozważań ekonomistów. Powstały liczne koncepcje, podejścia badawcze oraz różne sposoby klasyfikacji kapitału. Od lat 90. ubiegłego stulecia, w zgodzie z fundamentalną zasadą dualizmu według której kapitał stanowi kategorię abstrakcyjną, prowadzony jest alternatywny naukowy program badawczy w zakresie pomiaru kapitału ludzkiego i godziwych płac. Program ten zapoczątkował M. Dobija, a kontynuuje go zespół badaczy z UEK w Krakowie. Wspomniany program opiera się na właściwym rozumieniu kategorii kapitału. Prowadzone badania naukowe obejmują wiele teorii związanych z kapitałem ludzkim i godziwym wynagrodzeniem. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie wpływu kapitału z doświadczenia na wysokość godziwych wynagrodzeń pracowników. W tekście zaprezentowano model kapitału ludzkiego umożli-wiający pomiar kwalifikacji pracownika w jednostkach pieniężnych oraz model płacy godziwej. Przedstawiono również studium przypadku dotyczące wpływu kapitału z doświad-czenia na wysokość godziwych wynagrodzeń pracowników.

The paper aims to identify potential threats and opportunities in reference with combining full-time studies with gainful employment from the perspective of future transition of the graduates to the labor market. A hypothesis whether the job of the full-time students provides professional experience, required by employers, was verified. Moreover, it discusses if their professional activity may constitute a solid tie between education and the work after graduation, when continued at the same workplace. The conclusions were drawn, based on the results of the survey conducted over a population of students in the master’s degree course in economics at the University of Economics in Katowice in years 20142016. According to the survey, students rarely undertake job in compliance with their area of study, however, the majority gains valuable skills and competences. Additionally, it proves there exist certain obstacles while combining studies with job which poses a real threat to educational capital. The research also unveiled that less than one third of the students consider present job as a running start to future employment, mainly due to their lack of interest in such a solution.

This article seeks to give a Christian understanding to the reality of COVID-19 which the world has gone through in the past months. This is done in a catechetical way by elaborating upon what truly transforms a lived event into an experience and into a Christian religious experience through a catechetical process. This implies seeking to understand any lived event by reflecting upon it and then applying the results of one’s reflection to one’s life. This theoretical framework is then applied to the reality of COVID-19 with the aim of rendering the lived event of the pandemic into a Christian religious experience which leaves a positive effect on the lives of believers through a catechetical process of understanding it in the light of the Word of God, and then applying the outcomes to one’s life afterwards.

Work is one of the paradoxes of human life. It is difficult to define its essence, the correct source, tasks, and roles in human life. According to Étienne Gilson, an endless reproduction of the technical aspects of a work of art can modify not only the aesthetic experience of which it is an object, but also the culture it is embedded in. Since industrialization of a cultural product in the form of the internet is a means of generating mass culture, questions could be raised regarding its sources and effects. this article offers three assumptions: 1) the internet, together with its content and actions taken by internet users, is a source of fear of experiencing cybercrime; 2) experiencing cybercrime is a result of using the internet; 3) in mass culture, the aesthetic experience has been replaced by the experience of fear. in order to address the titular question, i performed comparative analyses of eU citizens’ opinions on the basis of the eurobarometer study conducted in eU countries (2013–2020) relating to the social perception of cybercrime, treated as a source of experiencing fear, and the level of their personal experience. A secondary quantitative and qualitative analysis of the collected data were performed, and a comparative method was used.
