Opis:: The analysis of the field of application of gripper is carried out. Are allocated perspective areas of development of a robotics. The main difficulties in the application of kinematic schemes for gripping devices with rotary finger movement are described. The prospective application of the kinematic scheme of the gripper with a straight-parallel plane-parallel motion of the fingers is proved when manipulating an object of the "shaft" type. A new scheme of a gripper with a rectilinear plane-parallel finger movement is presented. Its design is simpler and cheaper than known devices of this type. The capability of the gripper design in the engineering analysis environment has been fulfilled. Numerous computer studies of both individual design elements and pairs of objects that are in interaction have confirmed the operability of the developed design. It is established that the frictional force in the mobile components of the gripper design is insignificant, which will not create the prerequisites for a significant increase in size.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono model obliczeniowy konstrukcji nośnej kombajnu do zbioru warzyw oraz zamieszczono wybrane fragmenty analizy wytrzymałościowej konstrukcji. Obliczenia pozwoliły na weryfikację przyjętych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych. Zidentyfikowano stan wytężenia konstrukcji dla przyjętych warunków eksploatacji, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem newralgicznych węzłów konstrukcji (połączenia spawane, miejsca połączeń zespołów z konstrukcją nośną). Wielowariantowa analiza MES pozwoliła na opracowanie właściwego programu badań eksperymentalnych opracowywanej konstrukcji nośnej kombajnu.
The calculation model of a vegetable harvester's carrying construction has been presented in the paper as well as the selected fragments of the structural strength analysis. Performed computer calculations allowed verification of the initial constructional assumptions. The material effort has been identified under the operation condition with the detailed analysis of constructional nodes (welding points, connection points etc.) Multivariate FEM analysis allowed determining the proper experimental research program for the carrying construction of the vegetable harvester.

Opis:: In the article was discussed the possibility of structures and information systems complex game trees for the analysis of automatic gearboxes. The purpose of modelling an automatic gearbox with graphs can be versatile, namely: determining the transmission ratio of individual gears, analysing the speed and acceleration of individual rotating elements. In a further step, logic tree-decision methods can be used to analyse functional schemes of selected transmission gears. Instead, for graphs that are models of transmission, parametrically acting tree structures can be used. This allows for the generalization and extension of the algorithmic approach, furthermore in the future it will allow further analyses and syntheses, such as checking the isomorphism of the proposed solutions, determining the validity of construction and / or operating parameters of the analysed gears. The game tree structure describes a space of possible solutions in order to find optimum objective functions. There is the connection with other graphical structures which can be graphs in another sense, or even decision trees with node and/or branch coding.

Opis:: Artykuł jest kontynuacją serii publikacji dotyczących opracowywanego systemu wspomagania decyzji w ratownictwie morskim. W artykule zbadano możliwość zastosowania aplikacji komputerowej wykorzystującą metodę drzew decyzyjnych podczas analizy sytuacji statku będącego w niebezpieczeństwie. Badania przeprowadzono dla przypadku statku na mieliźnie. W pracy scharakteryzowano metodę, wykonano wstępne założenia do algorytmu postępowania, zdefiniowano atrybuty i warianty zdarzeń. Zbudowano model, który został przetestowany w aplikacji komputerowej. Wyniki analizy przedstawiono w postaci grafu oraz danych liczbowych zinterpretowanych dla badanego przypadku. We wnioskach ujęto przydatność wykorzystanej aplikacji komputerowej oraz możliwość jej dalszego zastosowania także w innych operacjach poszukiwawczo – ratowniczych na morzu.
The article is continuation of publication series on decision support system for maritime rescue currently being developed. The article examines the possibility of using a computer application that implements the method of decision tree analysis for ship in distress situations. The research has been conducted for ship aground case. The study characterizes the method, initial assumptions for the algorithm, defines attributes and variants events. Created model has been tested in a computer application. The results of the analysis are presented in the form of graph and numerical data interpreted for researched case. The proposals included the usefulness of described computer application and the possibility of its further use in other types of search and rescue operations at sea.

Celem pracy jest wygenerowanie sieci neuronowej dokonującej klasyfikacji motyli należących do rodziny Papilionidae, objętych ochroną gatunkową na terenie Polski, w oparciu o informację zakodowaną w postaci graficznej.
A significant development of programmatic techniques, used in neural simulation, has caused an increase of interest in the methods of artificial intelligence in scientific research. The issue of the artificial network of neurons makes it possible for us to use them in the process of identification the objects seen as digital images. The aim of the work is to generate neural network, which is able to make a classification of butterflies of the Papilionidae family, protected species in Poland, basing on an information coded in the graphic form.

Opis:: Rozwój otaczającego nas świata staje się coraz szybszy. Aby zapewnić bezpieczeństwo nowych technologii, wprowadzać usprawnienia już istniejących i eliminować zjawiska niepożądane przy konstruowaniu i eksploatacji maszyn wspomagających naszą ewolucję musimy dostarczać nowych, szybszych metod przeprowadzania badań za to odpowiedzialnych. Połączenie komputerowej analizy obrazu z doświadczeniami stosunkowo młodej dziedziny nauki, jednak bardzo potrzebnej, takiej jak tribologia, ma swoje uzasadnienie. Obecnie skomputeryzowane systemy wizyjne już zastępują i wspomagają ludzi w wielu procesach analizy i rozpoznawania klas obrazów w takich dziedzinach nauki jak krystalografia, metalografia, medycyna, inżynieria rolnicza i inne. Dzięki wykorzystaniu tej metody rozszerza się zakres percepcji naszego wzroku poprzez dostrzeganie różnić niewykrywalnych podczas bezpośredniej obserwacji, po wtóre umożliwia ona automatyczną a zarazem masową analizę i klasyfikację setek tysięcy obrazów w oparciu o różne kryteria bez ograniczeń, które posiada człowiek, takich jak emocje czy też zmęczenie. W artykule zaprezentowana została metoda wykorzystania komputerowej analizy obrazów do oceny ilościowej i jakościowej zużycia rolek napinaczy.
The development of the world around us accelerates. To ensure security of new technologies, to introduce improvements of those already in existence and to eliminate undesirable events during construction phase and operation of new machines that aid our evolution, we have to devise new and faster methods of researching the processes. The combination of computer image analysis with experiences of a relatively new branch of science, yet much needed one, such as tribology, is justified. Current computerized vision systems, replace and support people in multiple processes of analysis and object class recognition in such branches of science as: crystallography, metallography, medicine, agricultural engineering and others. By using this method, the range of perception of our sight is expanded to notice differences that cannot be detected during direct observation, moreover, it also enables automatic and mass analysis, with classification of hundreds of thousands of images based on various criteria, without limitations that a human being is prone to, such as emotions or fatigue. The article presents a method of using computer image analysis to assess quantitative and qualitative wear of belt tensioner rollers.

Opis:: Computer image analysis was used to determine porosity volume in sandstones from Upper Silesia and Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska. Calibration of the data was made by comparison with the results of mercury injection capillary pressure methods. Image analysis can yield many useful parameters. This study obtained chosen size parameters and diameters of equivalent area circles, calculated for all samples after 100 partial observations. Results obtained by image analysis are close to those measured by mercury injection capillary pressure. They could complement standard mercury porosity measurements, and in some cases, replace them.

In the article was described using of computer analysis of the image by examples and using the computer "Leaf" application to the assessment of changes in the process of ripening and growing old of plant organs. Two different research materials were analyzed in order to verify the "Leaf" computer program, with the help of which was made analysis of the given objects.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono model obliczeniowy konstrukcji ramy nośnej siewnika pneumatycznego oraz zamieszczono wybrane fragmenty analizy wytrzymałościowej. Obliczenia pozwoliły na weryfikację przyjętych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych. Zidentyfikowano najbardziej zagrożone miejsca w konstrukcji dla przyjętych warunków eksploatacji, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem newralgicznych punktów konstrukcyjnych. Wielowariantowa analiza MES może posłużyć do opracowania właściwego programu badań eksperymentalnych opracowanej konstrukcji ramy nośnej siewnika.

The most endangered places has been identified under the operation condition with the detailed analysis of constructional points. Multivariate FEM analysis can be used for the proper experimental research program for the carrying construction of the seed drill frame.

Opis:: This paper reports extensive simulation research into the use of the hexagonal quantizer in current-regulated delta modulators (CRDMs) for AC motor drive applications. It is demonstrated that the hexagonal quantizer with an appropriately selected threshold significantly lowers the current harmonic distortion and dramatically reduces the switching frequency of inverter devices, as compared to the conventional CRDM. Basic information is given on how the simulations were organized and sequenced to ensure fast steady-state convergence, as well as minimize the required data transfers.

Opis:: Autor kontynuuje tematy podjęte podczas sześciu już (II, III, IV, VII, IX i X) Szkół Wiosennych [37, 41, 42, 64, 70, 71] związanych z komputerowym wspomaganiem projektowania w zakresie budownictwa. Omawiano tam stosowany sprzęt, metody opisu konstrukcji, współczesne oprogramowanie i ich skuteczność. Wskazano, że szybki postęp w zakresie sprzętu elektronicznego i informatyki rzutuje na sposoby prowadzenia badań naukowych, zbieranie informacji, ich przechowywanie, na projektowanie, wytwarzanie produktów, a nawet na ich eksploatację. Komentowano sposoby wyprowadzania informacji na papier, współpracę różnych systemów oprogramowania i wymienność informacji, zabezpieczanie ich przed zniszczeniem oraz poufność, pracę w sieci, wykorzystanie internetu i tzw. biuro wirtualne, gdzie ludzie tworzą projekty, będąc w odległych miejscach. Obecnie zwrócono uwagę na nowe zagadnienia teoretyczne, nieobecne na ogół w programach komercyjnych i na metody nauczania wytrzymałości materiałów, mechaniki budowli i innych przedmiotów, przy wykorzystaniu programów ogólnie dostępnych lub własnych. Wskazano, że wiele metod uznanych za przestarzałe, może wrócić do stosowania. Inne nowe metody warto próbować wprowadzić do praktyki.
The paper is a continuation of the lectures presented during six Spring Schools [37, 41, 42, 64, 70, 71]. The lecture presented the problems concerning the methods for computer aided designing of civil engineering structures. The applied hardware and software, methods of structures description and analysis, dimensioning, synthesis, optimization, information recording, preparation of documents, compatibility of tools, electronic systems, programs and computer units were discussed. Moreover, the attention was paid to: exchange of electronic information, its protection against destruction, assurance of confidence of own data, a problem concerning the work in the net, in the Internet, within the frames of virtual bureau etc. where some people from very far places can cooperate. The comments, follow the long teachers experience, writing and exploiting of own and many other programs. At last, this lecture pays attention to new theoretical approaches which often are absent in commercial programs and to teaching method of such courses as Strength of Materials, Structural Mechanics etc. applying some widely popular programs, or specially oriented on particular tasks.

Opis:: Ocenę efektu mieszania plastikowych kuł w mieszalniku statycznym wykonano na podstawie analizy obrazu mieszaniny i parametrów charakteryzujących jego teksturę. Stwierdzono, że znajomość wartości parametrów jednolitość, entropia, homogeniczność i bezwładność może być pomocna w doborze długości drogi mieszania pozwalającej uzyskać zakładany efekt mieszania.
Evaluation of the effect of plastic balls mixing in a static mixer was performed on basis of mixture image analysis and using texture characterizing parameters. It was found that the knowledge of such parameters as uniformity, entropy, homogeneity and inertia, can he useful in the determination of a proper mixing length allowing one to obtain the assumed mixing effect.
