- The paper contains the results of studies relating to the construction of the future strategy for development of forests and forestry, which were based on reports relating to the condition of forests and forestry, and the results of the last inventory of forests in Poland. It was found that realisation of the forest management by State Forests is correct and consistent with the principles of sustainable development and principles of the development of multifunctional forest. It is also static, without the proposal of innovative solutions, under−performing both its economic strength and accumulated intellectual capital and practical experience.
