Opis:
Construction industry is often criticized around the world, especially in the so-called transition countries. The faults, which it is always accused of, originate from the nature of the projects. These weak points include corruption, cost overrun, inadequate quality, not paying the subcontractors, tax evasion etc. This paper attempts to shed a light on the fact that these phenomena are not new and specific to this area. They have always existed in the history of civilization. The authors can only hope that some time we can overcome these problems that have always darkened the construction industry.

W artykule wskazano miejsce LCM na tle innych metod i koncepcji zarządzania, które wyznaczają kierunki rozwoju urządzeń technicznych. Ponadto scharakteryzowano obszary zastosowań LCM ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zagadnień budowy i eksploatacji obiektów technicznych. Jako przykład zastosowania koncepcji LCM zaprezentowano prace nad kształtowaniem chłodziarko-zamrażarek.
In the paper the place of LCM is indicated on the background of other methods and concepts of management, which determine directions of technical appliances development. Additionally areas of LCM applications are characterized and specially topics of creation and maintenance of technical objects. As an example of practical application of LCM concept the case of refrigerators is presented.

Artykuł obejmuje tematykę wspomagania podejmowania decyzji logistycznych podczas budowy dróg. Budowa dróg, a zwłaszcza autostrad jest dużym wyzwaniem technicznym, ekonomicznym i organizacyjnym. Pochłania ogromne masy kruszywa, mieszanek betonowych, asfaltowych i innych zasobów, które trzeba przetransportować z miejsca wytworzenia do miejsc wbudowania. Wymaga to sprawnej logistyki i stanowi źródło kosztów, ale też oszczędności, jeżeli zarządzanie logistyczne będzie racjonalne. Artykuł przedstawia propozycje zastosowania znanych metod matematycznych do rozwiązania dwóch typowych zadań logistycznych w robotach drogowych przynoszących korzyści, pozwalających na operatywne zarządzanie logistyką w zmieniających się warunkach realizacji przedsięwzięć budowlanych.
This article addresses the topic of logistical decision-making during road construction. Road and highway construction presents large technical, economic, and organizational challenges. It consumes large masses of aggregates, concrete mixtures, asphalt, and other resources that must be transported from the site of manufacture to installation sites. This requires efficient logistics and represents both a cost source but also a source of savings if logistics management is rational. The article proposes using known mathematical methods to solve two common logistics problems in road works. These methods would bring benefit, permitting operational management of logistics under the changing conditions in which construction projects are carried out.

This paper is devoted to the issues of the team building process. The characteristics of Belbin’s roles and Hartman’s personality types are presented. The importance of identifying these characteristics while forming a team has been indicated. The results of the research on selected personality traits among students of full-time studies of technical universities are presented as well.

Building of new hard coal mining always is a huge project, where we use lot of other companies, institutions, organizations, where cost is millions of zł and realizations is in very unfavorable environment for human. For realization that project we need a help in coordination of technology, bussines-finance environment or administration. That we create a system of managing project consisting of procedures, roles, procedures. A paper present example of that system, with was created for managing of project of building of new hard coal mining by one of the polish companies.
Budowa nowej kopalni zawsze jest dużym przedsięwzięciem angażującym wiele innych firm, organizacji oraz urzędów, kosztująca setki milionów złotych i realizowana w niesprzyjającym człowiekowi środowisku. Realizując takie przedsięwzięcie niezbędne jest koordynowanie działań obejmujących czynniki środowiskowe, technologię, otoczenie businessowo-finansowe czy administrację. W artykule zaprezentowane zostały zasady, jakie zostały przyjęte dla zarzadzania projektem budowy nowej kopalni, realizowanym przez jedną z krajowych firm.

The modern world poses challenges to business that require a quick response and management decisions that would be based on a certain scientific and methodological basis. The most significant of them are those related to the management of people in the process of work, because they affect not only the economic, managerial, production, but also the social sphere. Challenges of the external environment, internal contradictions and conflicts, changing psychological and age types of employees require adaptive personnel management. Adaptive personnel management, which is based on changes in external and internal factors, is certainly based on a system of incentives. This system is based on the flexibility of the organizational system of personnel management and motivation of employees to adapt to change. To combine these elements and ensure the effective operation of the enterprise through adaptive management of its personnel, it is necessary to develop a method of adaptive personnel management of the enterprise. Given that construction is an important and specific type of activity, which is represented mainly by small businesses, this technique should be adapted just for them. This will make them more efficient, as small businesses have limited resources to develop such tools on their own. The method of adaptive personnel management proposed by the author allows to create such conditions for the personnel of the enterprise, under which the employee will be able to adapt to any conditions and carry out their work effectively. In further research, the components of adaptive management techniques should be formalized and adapted to the realities of management of Ukrainian construction companies.
Współczesny świat stawia przed biznesem wyzwania, które wymagają szybkiej reakcji i decyzji zarządczych, opartych na określonych podstawach naukowych i metodologicznych. Najistotniejsze z nich to te związane z zarządzaniem ludźmi w procesie pracy, ponieważ dotyczą nie tylko sfery ekonomicznej, zarządczej, produkcyjnej, ale także społecznej. Wyzwania otoczenia zewnętrznego, wewnętrzne sprzeczności i konflikty, zmieniające się typy psychologiczne i wiekowe pracowników wymagają adaptacyjnego zarządzania personelem. Adaptacyjne zarządzanie personelem, które opiera się na zmianach czynników zewnętrznych i wewnętrznych, z pewnością opiera się na systemie zachęt. System ten opiera się na elastyczności systemu organizacyjnego zarządzania personelem i motywowaniu pracowników do dostosowywania się do zmian. Aby połączyć te elementy i zapewnić efektywne działanie przedsiębiorstwa poprzez adaptacyjne zarządzanie personelem, konieczne jest wypracowanie metody adaptacyjnego zarządzania personelem przedsiębiorstwa. Biorąc pod uwagę, że budownictwo jest ważnym i specyficznym rodzajem działalności, którą reprezentują głównie małe przedsiębiorstwa, tę technikę należy dostosować właśnie do nich. Dzięki temu będą bardziej wydajne, ponieważ małe firmy mają ograniczone zasoby do samodzielnego opracowywania takich narzędzi. Zaproponowana przez autora metoda adaptacyjnego zarządzania personelem pozwala na stworzenie pracownikom przedsiębiorstwa takich warunków, w których pracownik będzie mógł dostosować się do każdych warunków i efektywnie wykonywać swoją pracę. W dalszych badaniach elementy adaptacyjnych technik zarządzania powinny zostać sformalizowane i dostosowane do realiów zarządzania ukraińskimi firmami budowlanymi.

Purpose: The analysis process of the causes of the problem by often used the Ishikawa diagram is not effective when knowledge is lacking with regard to the particular causes and their validity about the problem. Moreover, its subjectivity is affected by the people undertaking the analysis. The aim of this paper is to reveal ways of improving the analysis process of problem causes by utilising the new method of integrated techniques, i.e.: Ishikawa diagram and FAHP method. Design/methodology/approach: An analysis process of problem causes was made by utilizing the integrated techniques, i.e.: Ishikawa diagram and FAHP method. The problem was identified after the FPI method, and it was a linear indication on the bearing cover from 410 steel. Findings: It was shown that implementing the FAHP method in the Ishikawa diagram allows a numerical analysis of the main causes of the problem. Research limitations/implications: Future analysis should be undertaken by applying the 5Why method, in order to fully identify the root cause of the problem. Practical implications: A new method can be used to precisely and reliably analyse different types of problems. Social implications: This method is an effective tool that supports the process of analysing the causes of the problem, and thus the process of making multi-criteria decisions. Originality/value: The article proposes a new method for integrating analysis techniques, i.e. the Ishikawa diagram and the FAHP method, which can be effective in precisely and reliably assessing the causes of the problem.

Purpose: The aim of the work was to propose the integrated decision method with quality techniques to precision identify the root of the problem. Design/methodology/approach: The proposed method was integrated methods as the Ishikawa diagram, 5Why method and AHP method. An idea of the proposed method was improving the process of identifying the problem by using a new mixed-method, ie. after Ishikawa diagram the methods 5Why and AHP. Findings: It was demonstrated, that it is purposeful using the proposed mixed method (ie. qualitative and quantitative) to expand the horizon of identifying the root cause. Research limitations/implications: The limitation is the subjectivism of the entity using the method, which is revealed during assessing the causes of a problem. Therefore, future works will be based on the minimalization of subjectivism by using the fuzzy Saaty scale. Practical implications: The proposed method is a new approach to analyse different types of problems and support the process of solve decision problems. Therefore, this method can be practice in service and production enterprises to identify the root of product incompatibility. Social implications: Using the method allows improving the process of making the decision about causes of the problem, and limits the possibility of wrong decision about the source of the problem. Originality/value: The proposed method was used a new proposal of mixed-method, ie. it was used integrated the Ishikawa diagram, 5Why method and AHP method. The presented method is some kind of a new approach to identify the root of the problem.
