Opis:
The aim of the article is to analize polish-chinese economic relations after polish accession to the European Union structures. Studies carried out in the first part of the article concern trade rates between the two countries. Results show that polish import from China exceed export. The negative trends persist for many years and are continually deepening. From the geographical side, polish import from China flows mainly from the east coast part of China including Peking and Ningxia province. Polish export to China flows mainly to eastern and northern parts of the country. Concerning the commodity structure of the Polish-Chinese exchange, after the polish accession to the UE, polish products turned to be seen as high-quality as well as cheaper than in other UE countries. In 2009, electromechanical products accounted for more than 50% of the imported wares. Metallurgical, electromechanical and chemical products summed up to more than 76% of the polish export to China. The next part of the article analizes chinese investments in Poland and polish investments in China. In the end of 2007, chinese investments in Poland exceeded 120 mln USD. The biggest investments in Poland include building distribution center of GD Poland, Min Hoong Development company and TTL Poland – production center of TV LCD. In 2006, the polish investments in China reached 174 mln USD, investments included building Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Corporation “Chipolbrok” as well as Shanghai-Gdynia International Transportation Agency Co., Ltd. The last part of the article moved on to the topic of economic cooperation and barriers in access to Chinese market that include tariff and non- tariff barriers. To non-tariff barriers belongs: bureaucracy, weak protection of intellectual property rights as well as communication (language barrier).

The Pacific Alliance is one of the youngest integration groupings in Latin America. At a time of high popularity of postliberal regionalism among Latin American countries, it promotes open regionalism above ideological divisions, providing new dynamism to regional economic cooperation, and it fits well within the global trend of a turn to the intensively developing area of Asia and the Pacific. The aim of this article is to present the Pacific Alliance against the background of the dynamic integration processes in Latin America, including both its special characteristics and its complementarity with the existing regional organisations.(original abstract)

Artykuł obejmuje problematykę dialogu i współpracy krajów ASEM powstałych w warunkach narastania wzajemnych współzależności międzynarodowych i zmieniających się warunków współpracy na poziomie globalnym. Pokazuje państwa ASEM, które podejmują działania na rzecz pogłębienia wzajemnych relacji. Artykuł pokazuje jeden z wielu aspektów wzajemnej współpracy. Autorka poddaje analizie handel ogółem, a w szczególności handel tekstyliami w ramach ASEM. Zakres czasowy obejmuje ostatnie dostępne statystyki dotyczące lat 2013–2016. Ich analiza dała podstawę do zweryfikowania tezy, iż kraje Unii Europejskiej importują więcej tekstyliów i odzieży niż wynosi ich eksport do krajów Azjatyckich ASEM.
The paper covers the issues of dialogue and cooperation between ASEM countries in the conditions of growing mutual international interdependencies and changing conditions of cooperation at the global level. It presents the ASEM countries which are taking steps aimed at deepening mutual relations. The paper shows one of the many aspects of mutual cooperation. The total trade between the parties is discussed, with a particular focus on the trade in textiles under ASEM. The time range includes the latest available statistics for the period 2013–2016. The data analysis provides the basis for verifying the thesis that the European Union countries import more textiles and clothing than they export to Asian ASEM countries.

Today, as a result of significant reductions in the armed forces in the world, it is difficult to maintain the scale of production at a high level and economically rational. In addition, self-mastery all the necessary modern battlefield technology is a huge challenge for even the biggest economic powers. That is why it is so important today for the security of states international economic cooperation. Today has been a growing interest in international economic cooperation in the field of defense technology. Economic and defense cooperation in the field of advanced technology is especially important for small businesses. Small businesses are more flexible in taking risks, but do not have the capabilities. Interesting research on the factors influencing the development of economic and defense cooperation of small businnesses conducted British economists P. Bishop. Empiricall studies on a sample of 355 British companies have confirmed a significant positive relationship between firm size measured by the level of employment and the likekihood of international cooperation. The study also showed that innovation and a significant share of defense in total company revenue can facilitate establishing international economic cooperation.

Opis:
Shaping of the political and militarylliance between France and Poland in the interwar period had a cyclic character. Initially, the relations were close. French companies engaged yhemselvs financially in the development of war industr as well as fuel sector,  extraction industry, and light industry. Plans of modernizing the military forces were also developed in unsion. Representatives of French army played an important role in the process of educating the Polish officers. After the May Coup d'Etat, further cooperation was less close. One of the reasions for this situation was fact that the Polish establishent gathered around Józef Piłsudski was searching for ways of liberating the country from the restraining patronage. Further relations were resumed in 1936. Th efinancial and technilogical help of French was invaluable. However, in spite of the effors of Warsaw and Vilnius, it was not able to change the results of the defeat in September 1939.
