The aim of this study was to explore and indicate key moments in the experience of the Polish mothers who are caregivers and worked professionally during a national COVID-related lockdown between March and May 2020. This is a mixed-methods study. The main data was collected by an online survey (n=153) run between 14 and 30 May 2020 asking parents about the most challenging and the most positive moments they experienced during a homestay with their children. The responses were coded thematically. Additionally, five in-depth interviews with HR Business Partners in multinational companies have been conducted. As a result, the list of “positive” and “challenging” moments has been established identifying challenging areas such as: organizing daily routines, especially meals for all family members, and selfperception of being neither a “good enough” parent nor a productive employee. The positive discoveries about this unusual reality included seeing the national lockdown as an opportunity for a “slower pace of living”, strengthening family bonds, and experiencing the children’s independence in daily routines. In conclusion, the findings emphasise the importance of enabling flexibility to employees in giving the flexibility to decide on and organise his work schedule and priorities, expectations setting, and defining the desired outcome of work with a supervisor including clear communication about the expected level of availability and visibility in front of the computer.
Celem tego badania jest zidentyfikowanie kluczowych momentów w doświadczeniach matek, które były aktywne zawodowo, a jednocześnie opiekowały się dziećmi podczas wprowadzenia ścisłej izolacji społecznej związanej z ogłoszeniem stanu pandemicznego w Polsce między marcem a majem 2020 roku. Wnioski przedstawione w artykule dotyczą badania mieszanego. Większość danych uzyskano w ankiecie zrealizowanej w formule online pomiędzy 14 a 30 maja 2020 roku, w której zebrane zostały 153 odpowiedzi dotyczące najbardziej pozytywnych i najtrudniejszych momentów w doświadczeniu matek, które jednocześnie pracowały i opiekowały się dziećmi. Treści odpowiedzi na pytania otwarte zostały poddane analizie tematycznej. Dane w drugiej części badania uzyskane zostały w pięciu wywiadach pogłębionych z HR business partnerami pracującymi w firmach globalnych. Te wnioski miały charakter uzupełniający i ilustrujący doświadczenia zidentyfikowane w ilościowej części badania. Wnioski z badań zostały przedstawione w formie listy pozytywnych i negatywnych momentów w doświadczeniach tego okresu. Wśród „trudności” znalazły się m.in. wypełnianie codziennych obowiązków, w szczególności przygotowanie posiłków dla rodziny, a także postrzeganie siebie jako „niewystarczającej matki i niewystarczającego pracownika”. Z kolei doświadczenia pozytywne z tego okresu odnoszą się do wolniejszego tempa życia i docenienia spędzania czasu razem oraz możliwości obserwowania rozwoju i samodzielności dzieci w tej wyjątkowej sytuacji przymusowego pozostania w domu. Wnioski z badań potwierdzają wagę umożliwiania pracującym matkom decydowania o swoim sposobie pracy, np. ustalania priorytetów, organizowania dnia pracy, a także rolę zapewnienia elastyczności czasowej w wykonywaniu zadań. Druga konkluzja dotyczy konieczności podkreślania jeszcze bardziej niż w czasach przedpandemicznych oczekiwań przełożonego wobec pracy, co odnosi się nie tylko do wymaganych rezultatów, ale także opisania reguł działania w nowych okolicznościach czy określenia poziomu widoczności danej osoby podczas spotkań online.

This article analyses the case study method and its application in accounting module. Labour market requirements in Lithuania and abroad are becoming higher and higher. Completing the theoretical studies is not enough for students. The case study method helps to connect the existing theoretical knowledge and practice. The case study method was used for the first time in 1870 at Harvard University. The method allows a student to be active throughout the process, to make decisions, to give grounded opinions, to work in a team and to make conclusions. This paper addresses the benefits of using case studies in accounting module between the students without a relevant work experience. In the context of this study, the findings provide evidence that the case study methods should be used in the accounting studies.
W artykule dokonano analizy metody studium przypadku w kontekście kształcenia w zakresie księgowości. Wymagania rynku pracy na Litwie i poza jej granicami stają się coraz wyższe. Uzyskanie przez studentów jedynie wiedzy teoretycznej nie jest wystarczające. Metoda studium przypadku zapewnia łączenie istniejącej wiedzy teoretycznej i praktycznej. Po raz pierwszy metoda ta została zastosowana w 1870 roku na Uniwersytecie w Harvardzie. Zapewnia ona studentom aktywne uczestnictwo w procesie nauczania, podejmowanie decyzji, podawanie opinii, pracę w grupie i wyciąganie wniosków. Celem publikacji jest określenie korzyści używania metody studium przypadku podczas nauczania księgowości wśród studentów nieposiadających doświadczenia zawodowego.

This article analyzes the journalistic profession in eight Central and Eastern European countries: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Moldova, Romania, and Russia, using the quantitative findings of the Worlds of Journalism Study. The comparison refers to age, gender, education, positions, work experience, religion, and political views of journalists from these states. The study was conducted in each country by a national team responsible for the collected data. the national studies were carried out between 2012 and 2017. Over 3,000 journalists participated as respondents. For comparative analysis, the study builds on the national databases and the country reports written within the project by each national team.

Young workers are the category of people who experience precarity and precariousness the most. This article explores the work experiences of the young precarious workers as an important component of constructing their social identity. It focuses on the problems with sense of professional identity, biographical sense of work experiences and the processes of transition to adulthood in the context of insecure earnings and permanent uncertainty. It also deals with the lack of control over time and future life plans and the alienation of work. As a consequence of precariousness, young people need to cope with traps of uncertainty, poverty and helplessness. The article is based on the analysis of biographical interviews with young people aged 18-30 years old in low-paid temporary jobs, low paid open-ended contracts, traineeships and the unemployed. The whole collection contains 70 interviews. The article focuses on ten cases which represent more general properties of work experiences. The analysis enables us to address emerging questions concerning the relationships between constructing biography and the experience of work and to formulate tentative conclusions from the ongoing research.

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest sformułowana przez Christę Wolf „poetyka autentyczności subiektywnej”. W pierwszej części poetyka ta zostaje omówiona w oparciu o wybrane teksty eseistyczne autorki, w drugiej zobrazowana na przykładzie powieści Rozmyślania nad Christą T. Poetyka autentyczności subiektywnej opiera się na założeniu, że w twórczości literackiej nie jest możliwy obiektywny punkt wyjścia. Autor tworzy swoje dzieło zawsze na podstawie konkretnego, tylko jemu dostępnego – subiektywnego zatem – doświadczenia. Za pomocą języka stwarza nową rzeczywistość – rzeczywistość dzieła literackiego. Konstruuje ją w oparciu o fakty i jednocześnie w wolny sposób kreuje. Obraz świata przedstawionego w dziele literackim powinien być „zgodny z prawdą” (C. Wolf), w sensie: zgodny z wizją autora, a przy tym wiarygodny, prawdopodobny, możliwy do wyobrażenia. Nie jest ważne, czy autor wiernie przedstawia fakty. Ważna jest jego „autentyczność wewnętrzna” – wierność własnemu doświadczeniu. Praca twórcza staje się wówczas dla autora drogą do poznania samego siebie i do samorealizacji jako jednostki, literatura zaś dla czytelnika – przewodnikiem i schronieniem na jego własnej drodze życiowej. Świat przedstawiony w dziele literackim sytuuje się zatem pomiędzy „realnościami różnego stopnia”. Świadomość autora tworzy płaszczyznę ich zetknięcia się i przenikania. Obecny w dziele literackim element subiektywny stanowi jego „czwarty wymiar”. Powieść „Rozmyślania nad Christą T.” powstała z potrzeby przezwyciężenia bolesnego dla Autorki doświadczenia – śmierci przyjaciółki. Na podstawie pozostawionych przez nią notatek, listów oraz rękopisów, a także własnych wspomnień, tworzy Autorka jej literacki obraz. Autentyczność subiektywna jako pewna postawa autora znajduje w powieści swój pełny wyraz. Rzeczywistość nie jest tu wyraźnie oddzielona od fikcji. Autorka wiernie przedstawia fakty, co powoduje przyprawiające o „zawrót głowy” (C. Wolf) wrażenie, że Rozmyślania nad Christą T. to dokument biograficzny, a nie fikcja literacka. Christa T. zostaje jednak również wymyślona – staje się postacią literacką.

ICT Tools are not primary, but secondary learning source for teaching abstract mathematical concepts at preschool institution. As a matter of fact, for children ICT Tools don’t have the power of immediate and practical experience or experimental work, which are the primary source of learning such contents. ICT Tools can only be used to revise knowledge after children have acquired it through direct manipulative activities and experiments, which require sensory experiences (eyes, hands). In that way children estimate volume of different liquids and their dishes firstly subjectively and then objectively.

Stable and permanent work is the cornerstone of the functioning of every person in the entire period of his adult life. Proper professional qualifications reinforce the area of employment, but their absence can contribute to the emergence of serious problems in finding a suitable job. The study is a reflection on a dialogue, that arises between a person and architecture in his perceptual experience. In the assumption the research was referred to the definition of dialogue as an interpersonal conversation – an exchange of ideas that is accompanied by non-verbal communication and it was noticed that the dialogue between a person and architecture involves an inner dialogue of a person including: his dialog with himself, with the author of architecture through its medium and dialogue of the human body with the body of architecture through the physical matter. The aim of the reflection is a detailed analysis of human dialogue with architecture, especially its role in the perceptual experience of architecture. It was refers to the definition of the atmosphere of architecture and it was recognized that in the dialogue with architecture a person receives its atmosphere, which gives a measure and sense. At the same time, the person is in dialogue with the architect – the author of a perceived work, with whom the knowledge, direct or indirect, including a real conversa on through words, texts, non-verbal communication, has a significant impact on the research. Examples of this dialogue occur in the history and modernity of architecture from l’architecture parlante of Claude Nicolas Ledoux to Peter Zumthor’s thinking architecture. As the research method was considered the analysis of the perceptive experience of the author of this article. The conclusions pointed to the specific effects of dialogue with architecture and its benefits for the experience of perceptual architecture.
Badanie ma charakter rozważań nad dialogiem, rodzącym się między człowiekiem a architekturą w jej doświadczeniu percepcyjnym. Odniesiono się do pojęcia dialogu jako interpersonalnej rozmowy – wymiany myśli, której towarzyszy komunikacja niewerbalna – i zauważono, że w świetle tego pojęcia przedmiot badania obejmuje wewnętrzny dialog człowieka z samym sobą i z autorem architektury poprzez jej medium oraz niewerbalny dialog ciała człowieka z ciałem architektury na płaszczyźnie fizykalnej materii. Celem rozważania jest szczegółowa analiza dialogu człowieka z architekturą, zwłaszcza jego roli w doświadczeniu percepcyjnym architektury. Odniesiono się do definicji atmosfery architektury i uznano, że w dialogu z architekturą człowiek odbiera jej atmosferę, której nadaje miarę i sens. Jednocześnie człowiek dialoguje z myślą architekta – autora percypowanego dzieła, z którym znajomość, pośrednia lub bezpośrednia, obejmująca rzeczywistą rozmowę za pomocą słów, tekstów czy komunikacji niewerbalnej, ma istotny wpływ na badanie. Przykłady omawianego dialogu wskazano w historii i współczesności, od l’architecture parlante Claude’a Nicolasa Ledoux do myślenia/obmyślania architektury, zapisanego przez Petera Zumthora. We wnioskach wskazano konkretne efekty dialogowania z architekturą i jego korzyści dla doświadczenia percepcyjnego samej architektury.

The subject of analysis in this article are the links between the field of practice – social work and the socio-pedagogical approach.We assume that social work is a kind of practice of the representatives of social professions and that the socio-pedagogical approach could serve as a meta-theory for the analysis of the field of social work. This could provide orientation in the search for the best course of action (activity). Adopting this view enables us to find answers to very complex issues of practice and, as a result, to encourage actors to cooperate in a given field of activity. This socio-pedagogical approach/perspective also facilitates the use of the multi-dimensional perspective in the training to the field of practice.We recognize that introducing this approach into practice would allow its enrichment and emphasizing its societal dimension. In this article, we analyze the instruments of this approach.
Cet article a pour objet d’analyser les liens entre le champ de la pratique, le travail social et l’approche socio-pédagogique. Nous faisons l’hypothèse que le travail social est un type de pratiques des professionnels du social, et que l’approche socio-pédagogique pourrait remplir la fonction d’une métathéorie pour l’analyse du champ du travail social, en vue de permettre une orientation appropriée de l’agir dans ce champ et de choisir un mode d’activité. Cette perspective s’efforce de répondre aux questions complexes de la pratique, et par la suite d’encourager les acteurs à coopérer dans ce champ. Elle permet d’adopter une vision multidimensionnelle de la formation à l’activité dans un champ de la pratique. Nous considérons que l’introduction de l’approche socio-pédagogique pourrait enrichir et ordonner cette activité professionnelle en soulignant sa dimension sociétale. Dans cet article nous essayons d’analyser quelques outils de cette approche.

Work is one of the paradoxes of human life. It is difficult to define its essence, the correct source, tasks, and roles in human life. Therefore, work in the scientific literature is understood ambiguous and multi-dimensional. This article proposes to focus on the hybrid work of art from the perspective of aesthetic experience. The category of aesthetic experience is helpful in creating the poetics which focuses on the role of the recipient. From the perspective of this article, it is important to analyze how the recipient constructs the meaning of the hybrid work of art (if this is possible), and to look at the process of its interpretation. Although the reception of each hybrid work of art should be considered as unique (as has been postulated by Rüdiger Bubner), the category of aesthetic experience turns out to be helpful and can be regarded as a kind of poetics of the hybrid work of art. The article distinguishes four stages of the aesthetic experience: sensory perception of the hybrid work of art, an emotional response, an attempt at interpretation, and the final completion.

Doświadczenie zawodowe jest jednym z czynników warunkujących pomyślne wejście absolwentów na rynek pracy. Młodzi ludzie często próbują pogodzić naukę na uczelni w trybie stacjonarnym z pracą zarobkową. Badania ankietowe przeprowadzone wśród studentów Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Katowicach pomogły w ustaleniu skali tego zjawiska oraz określeniu czynników, które złożyły się na decyzję o podjęciu pracy. Pozwoliły też na ocenę zgodności wykonywanej pracy z kierunkiem studiów, szans na zdobycie nowych umiejętności i kompetencji cenionych na rynku pracy oraz nawiązanie kontaktów z pracodawcami, dających dobre perspektywy. W badaniu przeprowadzono też próbę identyfikacji problemów pojawiających się w trakcie łączenia pracy zarobkowej ze studiami w trybie stacjonarnym.
Work experience is one of the factors which condition auspicious entry of the graduates into labour market. Young people try to accommodate full-time studies at universities with their jobs. A survey study conducted over a section of the students studying at the University of Economics in Katowice made it possible to identify the extent of this phenomenon and to recognize the factors which affect the decision about starting a job. Moreover, it allowed to assess the coherence between field of study and chosen job and the chances to learn new skills, to gain expertise appreciated in the labour market and to make long-term acquaintance with employers. The research included also an attempt to identify the problems which arise when full-time studies are combined with paid employment.

This article focuses on the hybrid work of art viewed as a form of experience. I take into consideration the issue of the hybrid work of art viewed as a form of experience from the perspective of how Dewey wrote about art which can be perceived as a form of experience. How can we understand the notion of experience in relation to the work of art, and, more importantly, to the hybrid work of art? My analysis of the experience category is based on the philosophical texts written by Luigi Pareyson. The question I would like to answer is if hybrid works of art portray the experience of contemporary reality. My considerations are founded on the poems by Paula Claire (ES-SENSE and Hymns to Isis) and the artist’s book by Jim Butler (A.M.D.G).

Opis:
The following article describes and analyzes the issue of reception of musical work and elements of aesthetic experience shaped as a result of that reception. The author of the work discusses selected elements of that experi-ence, with particular emphasis on musical emotion. Furthermore, the study also presents selected concepts and aesthetic theories, whose authors analyzed the nature and order of the reception of musical works. The author touches the issue of socio-cultural development of works of art and ways of their reception, and especially ways of listening to musical works, indicating the peculiar relationship between aesthetic experience and the accepted definition of art. Moreover, the author also tries to draw attention to the openness in the poetics of new music.
W artykule opisany i przeanalizowany został problem odbioru dzie-ła muzycznego i kształtowania się w owym odbiorze elementów doświadczenia estetycznego. Omówiono wybrane elementy tego doświadczenia, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem emocji muzycznej. Rozważono również wybrane koncepcje i teorie estetyczne, których autorzy analizowali istotę i porządek odbioru utworu muzycznego. Podjęto także kwestię kontekstu społeczno-kulturowego kształto-wania dzieł sztuki i sposobów ich odbioru, a zwłaszcza sposobów słuchania dzieł muzycznych. Wskazano na swoistą zależność pomiędzy doświadczeniem estetycz-nym a przyjętą definicją sztuki. Starano się również zwrócić uwagę na otwartość w poetyce nowej muzyki.

Around the concept and process of evangelization, that is around both the theory and practice of this process, a lot of doubts have appeared in recent years. Nearly all educational, formative activities undertaken in the Church, not only with respect to children and young people, but with respect to adults as well, are defined with the use of this word. However, in the practice of the ancient Church propagating Christ, conversion, preparation for baptism, catechesis presenting the meaning of rites and introducing one into the life of the Church were integrally connected with the evangelization process. This process has been radically reversed in modern times. In parish catechesis basically there is no evangelization process preceding it; also teaching religion at school cannot undertake all evangelization tasks, as the nature of education does not allow this. Since young people constantly need adults who accompany them and educate them in the proper way, the Salesian order whose vocation is Christian education of children and young people, should be open to evangelization of parents and adults, as it is only such evangelization that may contribute to efficient educational work.
