    Aktywność zawodowa uczniów i studentów stanowi ważny element rynku pracy. Autor artykułu rozważa w tym kontekście zasadność objęcia uczniów i studentów, którzy nie ukończyli 26 roku życia, wykonujących pracę na podstawie umów cywilnoprawnych dobrowolnymi ubezpieczeniami emerytalnym i rentowymi z tego tytułu, a także ubezpieczeniem wypadkowym, jeżeli zostały przez nich złożone deklaracje o przystąpieniu do wymienionych ubezpieczeń. W ocenie autora analiza danych statystycznych dotyczących przyczyn wypadków w pracy oraz osób w nich poszkodowanych uzasadnia potrzebę umożliwienia objęcia uczniów i studentów dobrowolnymi ubezpieczeniami społecznymi z tytułu wykonywania pracy na podstawie umów cywilnoprawnych. Autor podejmuje zatem próbę wskazania optymalnego kierunku zmian, formułując dwie propozycje podlegania tych osób ubezpieczeniom społecznym.
    The working activity of pupils and students is an important element of the labor market. Their situation on the labor market in terms of social insurance resulting from the contracts under which they are employed is far from satisfactory. Working pupils and students up to the age of 26 are not entitled to social security cover as such; while in the event of a long-term illness or accident at work, they are left completely without insurance cover. The author of the article argues for a change in the law and relevant legislation to allow working pupils and students to join voluntary insurance and disability schemes that would provide cover in the event of unforeseen events.

    Objectives: Adapting to stress over time is a process involving various cognitive and emotional assessments; it also depends on the objective situation related to working conditions, as well as on individual factors. The aim of this paper is to outline the dynamic nature of stress experienced by workers employed on oil rigs over a period of 20 years. The presented research is part of a larger project and concerns subjective stress. Material and Methods: Longitudinal studies included the analysis of data regarding the period of 1993–2014. They concerned 167 Polish oil rig workers, all men; the average age at the beginning of the study was 29 years. Each employee was surveyed at least 4 times over a period of 20 years at intervals of 4–6 years in the workplace. The subjective level of stress at work (based on the Subjective Job Evaluation Questionnaire) and the level of declared stress (based on the Stress Survey) were examined. Results: Oil rig workers show different adaptations to stress over a long term, depending on their subjective perception of stress. Baseline stress levels can vary from person to person over the years. The first group was characterized by high initial stress, but the stress decreased systematically over 20 years (“stress resisting”). Employees from the second group were characterized by low initial stress, but declared a systematic increase in stress in the same period (“stress sensitizing”). Finally, employees from the third group adapted to stress in a flexible way, with subjective stress being most strongly associated with objective stress (“flexible group”). Conclusions: The presented prospective study showed differences between the subjective levels of stress depending on the distinguished groups over 20 years, i.e., between-group and intra-group variability. The method of prospective research shows that the perception of stress at work is a dynamic process and it changes over time.

    Paper discussed an accident that occurred during the use of concrete block making machine for concrete blocks. The circumstances of the accident and its causes were indicated. Attention is paid to the necessity of reliable application of the provisions regarding minimum requirements for the safety of exploitation of used machines.

    The issue of entering subsidies from the European Union means designed for financing industrial studies and/or developmental work as well as of implementation of the results of these studies or work in the area of economic activities of the entrepreneur within the operating program Innovative Economy 1.4-4.1 Action „Supporting Targeted Projects and Supporting Implementation of B+R work results” is a topical one because of the possibility to obtain the subsidies that companies enjoy after Poland joined the European Union. Subsidizing the completed developmental work within the „study stage” of the 1.4-4.1 Action is a „subsidy for the assets” and should be entered in the account books as the income of future periods. In the next periods the sums counted as inter-period income gradually increase the remaining operation income, parallel to amortization or remitting allowance for the cost of developmental work financed from this source. Subsidizing the building of fixed assets and nonmaterial or legal assets within the „implementation stage” of the 1.4-4.1 Action is a „subsidy for the assets” and should be entered in the account books, taking into consideration the regulations of Art. 41 section 1 paragraph 2 of the Law of Accountancy. The way the assets have been acquired does not affect the way they should be entered – it does not matter whether they have been purchased or financed by way of leasing. Subsidizing the outlays made by companies, that are operating costs belonging to the two stages of the 1.4-4.1 Action is a „subsidy for the income”. Such support should be included into the remaining operating costs.
