Opis:: The aim of the study is to examine the opinion of a group of women on their economic activity and decisions related to retirement. The first part of the article reviews previous research related to the economic activity of older people with a special focus on women. In the empirical part of the article, women’s opinions on issues related to retirement were analyzed. The research was carried out in 2016 on a sample of 45 women, which is a non-representative sample selection technique. The method used is similar to the method of “random choice” or “convenience choice” (convenience sampling). Research results indicate that retirement was often not fully voluntary, and resulted from the liquidation of the workplace or from the bad atmosphere. The time of retirement for women is primarily a period when they can fulfill their plans and dreams.

Opis:: The article covers a theoretical review of foreign literature on the problem of aggression in the elderly. The psychological characteristic of the outlined phenomenon is given and the urgency of conducting empirical investigations in this direction is substantiated. A review of scientific achievements in the field of psychology showed that the specific of legitimized aggression in retirees is not sufficiently developed and studied scientific problem. The purpose of the study is to establish the specifics of legitimized aggression in women and men of retirement age. The sample consisted of elderly people aged 60 to 70 years, with a total number of 40 people. The first group included 20 women of retirement age, the second - 20 retired men. “Questionnaire of Legitimized Aggression” by S. Enikolopov and M. Tsybulsky was used to identify the psychological features of legitimized aggression. Student’s t-test for independent samples was used for mathematical and statistical data processing. Empirical research has shown that older women are characterized by aggressive behavior, which is reflected in the most acceptable forms of society, such as communication, education, seeking to teach others, sharing experiences, knowledge or expressing their own. thoughts. Women prefer not to show their negative feelings in public, as evidenced by not high enough on all scales of legitimized aggression. Retirement women are well-versed in situations where their aggressive behavior can be noticed, so they try not to show their feelings to the general public, as this can negatively affect their reputation. As for the group of elderly men, they are clear representatives of legitimized aggression, who can skillfully justify and disguise their own aggressive behavior. Quite bold statements on the topic of politics, sports, education are a good opportunity for them to demonstrate rich personal experience on the issues outlined and prove their rightness, thereby strengthening their authority and competence in the eyes of others. In our opinion, this trend is quite alarming, since such behavioral reactions are quite often provocative in nature and become a reason for the emergence of conflict situations.
Стаття висвітлює теоретичний огляд закордонної літератури з проблеми агресивності у осіб похилого віку. Надано психологічну характеристику окресленого феномену та обґрунтовано актуальність проведення емпіричних розвідок в даному напрямку. Огляд наукових здобутків в царині психології показав, що специфіка легітимізованої агресії у пенсіонерів є недостатньо розробленою та вивченою науковою проблемою. Мета дослідження – встановити специфіку легітимізованої агресії у жінок та чоловіків пенсійного віку. Вибірку дослідження склали особи похилого віку у віці від 60 до 70 років, загальною чисельністю 40 осіб. До першої групи увійшло 20 жінок пенсійного віку, до другої - 20 чоловіків-пенсіонерів. Для виявлення психологічних особливостей легітимізованої агресії був використано «Опитувальник легітимізованої агресії» С. Еніколопова та М. Цибульського. Для математико-статистичної обробки даних було використано t – критерій Стьюдента для незалежних вибірок. В ході емпіричного дослідження було встановлено, що для жінок похилого віку характерний прояв агресивної поведінки, котра знаходить своє відображення у найбільш прийнятних для суспільства формах, наприклад, під час комунікації, у вихованні, у прагненні повчати інших, при обміні досвідом, знаннями чи висловлюванні власної думки. Жінки воліють не демонструвати свої негативні почуття публічно, про що свідчать не достатньо високі показники за всіма шкалами легітимізованої агресії. Жінки пенсійного віку чудово орієнтуються в ситуаціях, коли їх агресивні прояви можуть бути помічені, тому вони прагнуть власні почуття не показувати на широкий загал, оскільки це може негативно відбитися на їх репутації. Щодо групи чоловіків похилого віку, то вони являються виразними представниками легітимізованої агресії, котрі власну агресивну поведінку можуть вправно виправдати та замаскувати. Доволі сміливі висловлювання на тему політики, спорту, виховання є для них вдалою нагодою щоб продемонструвати багатий особистий досвід з окреслених питань та довести свою правоту, тим самим посилити свій авторитет та компетентність в очах навколишніх. На нашу думку, подібна тенденція є доволі тривожною, оскільки подібні поведінкові реакції досить часто носять провокативний характер та підбурюють до виникнення конфліктних ситуацій.
