    Opis:
    Celem artykułu jest wielokryterialna analiza województw ze względu na wykorzystanie przez przedsiębiorstwa technologii informacyjnych i telekomunikacyjnych (ICT) w 2015 r. W badaniu zastosowano metodę ANP, zaliczaną do metod wielokryterialnego podejmowania decyzji. W pracy uwzględniono ekspercką wiedzę specjalistów ICT zatrudnionych w przedsiębiorstwach biorących udział w badaniu GUS. Na tej podstawie dokonano doboru atrybutów ICT i skonstruowano sieciową strukturę kryterialną. Preferencje w przypadku kryteriów głównych ustalono z uwzględnieniem mocnych i słabych stron województw. W wyniku klasyfikacji metodą k-średnich utworzono grupy województw ze względu na wykorzystanie ICT przez przedsiębiorstwa. Preferencje w przypadku subkryteriów wyznaczono, kierując się zasadą, że najwyższą wagę mają kryteria charakteryzujące najnowsze kierunki rozwoju ICT. Uzyskane wyniki mogą posłużyć do oceny przestrzeni teleinformatycznej oraz stopnia zaangażowania przedsiębiorstw według województw w korzystanie z nowoczesnych technologii.
    The aim of the article is a multi-criteria analysis of voivodships with regard to the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) by enterprises in 2015.The ANP method, which is classified as one of multi-criteria decision-making methods, was used in the research. Expert knowledge of ICT specialists employed in enterprises participating in the survey of Statistics Poland was applied. On this basis, ICT attributes were selected and a criterion structure was constructed. In the case of main criteria, preferences were determined considering strengths and weaknesses of voivodships. As a result of the -means method classification, groups of voivodships were established due to the use of ICT by enterprises. Preferences in the case of sub-criteria were based on the principle that the criteria characterizing the latest trends of ICT development are of the highest importance. The obtained results can be applied to evaluate the ICT space and the degree of enterprises involvement in modern technologies usage by voivodships.

    Opis:
    The comparative analysis that has been conducted emphasizes the necessity of using various methods of multicriterial comparative analysis in order to make an adequate selection of a decision variant in problem situations. The author has demonstrated the need to conduct such an analysis in the decision process of selecting the type of rifle as part of a purchase in a tender for individual small arms by using Bellinger’s method. Thus, the author has justified the necessity of conducting decision analyses concerning planned munition purchases and also of regarding them as a valuable source of information that should be taken into account in the decision process. The execution of the research concept described in the paper can be a valuable source of information on the development of the arms industry, ordnance and individual soldiers’ gear.

    In most of multicriteria aggregation methods, we need to elicit parameters that are generally determined directly by the decision-maker (DM). Direct assigning of parameters and criteria weights presents a crucial and difficult step in the decision-making process. However, this kind of information is too subjective and may affects the reliability of the results. To overcome this issue, we suggest a weighting method based on mathematical programming to incorporate the DM’s preferences indirectly within the ARAS method.

    Modelling of a decision-maker’s preferences in multi-criteria decision analysis is performed using weights that reflect the relative importance of the given decision criteria. The determination of accurate values of the weights is therefore of considerable importance. Numerous means and methods are used for this purpose, such as: the entropy method (i.e., the method of objective weights), the Simos method, the SWARA method, the ANP or AHP methods, and many others. This paper analyses the DEMATEL method, frequently used to identify cause-and-effect relationships. Nowadays, it is often used in multi-criteria decision analyses. In the opinion of some authors, DEMATEL may be useful also to determine the weights of criteria. However, the approach presented by these authors has certain drawbacks. The present paper proposes a different approach to the weighting procedure using DEMATEL. Using numerical examples, it also presents weights determined by this method and compared to those obtained using the AHP method.

    Opis:
    This paper introduces TODIM-FSE, a multicriteria method for classifying alternatives based on Prospect Theory. TODIM-FSE therefore relies on the TODIM method combined with the Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation approach. TODIM-FSE makes use of the innovative "contribution" concept, not used previously for multicriteria classification purposes. This notion is central to the classification procedure of TODIM-FSE as it is associated to the contribution of each criterion to the classification of a given alternative in a predefined category. The TODIM-FSE method is explained in this paper by means of an application example and its steps are outlined. The application example has to do with the selection of trainee candidates for a company in the area of information technology. The classification of the candidates allows to identify the best of them, which is typically done at the first stage of the selection process. Some of the evaluation criteria considered in the study were: computers skills, mastery of technical English, and previous working experience in the field. In the second stage of that process another procedure ranks the best candidates. TODIM-FSE can be easily programmed in spreadsheets so as to be made available to professionals without a sound knowledge of either Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis or Prospect Theory. Currently the authors are working on a series of applications for validating TODIM-FSE in a broader way.

    Opis:
    Mining method selection for an explored ore-body is the critical and problematic issues in mining engineering. Selection of an unsuitable method with regards to deposit characteristics may make exploitation of the ore-body troublesome and sometimes impossible or less economic. In the past, selection of extraction method was based primarily on operating experience at similar type mine and on methods already in use in the districts of the deposit. Recently application of decision theory has been paid attention for different selection problems. Decision-making methods are not using customarily in mining engineering but they are techniques can provide solutions to the problems involving conflicting and multiple criteria as mining method selection problems. This study presents of different decision making methods in complex environment of mining activities for optimal and efficient production. The focus of this article is on inspection of the suitable mining method selection and presentation of procedure, and is based on the decision theory. This paper is divided into two sections. The first section provides an overview of the mining method selection problems and decision making theory. The second section introduces an application of the Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) for mining method selection accompanied by practical illustrations.
    Wybór metody eksploatacji dla udokumentowanego złoża rudy jest podstawowym i bardzo trudnym zagadnieniem w inżynierii górniczej. Wybór niewłaściwej technologii eksploatacji dla złoża o określonej charakterystyce może spowodować wiele kłopotów, a w rezultacie może doprowadzić do braku możliwości wybrania tego złoża lub uczynić eksploatację mniej opłacalną. W przeszłości wybór metody eksploatacji wykonywany był na podstawie doświadczeń ruchowych w kopalniach podobnego typu, a opierano się na metodach już wykorzystywanych w innych częściach tego złoża. Ostatnio zwrócono uwagę na możliwość wykorzystania metod podejmowania decyzji do rozwiązywania problemów związanych z takim wyborem. Takie metody podejmowania decyzji nie są zwykle używane w górnictwie, ale są to techniki, które mogą dać rozwiązanie w zagadnieniach, w których występuje wiele wzajemnie sprzecznych kryteriów tak jak to ma miejsce w przypadku wyboru technologii eksploatacji. Artykuł prezentuje różne metody podejmowania decyzji dla osiągnięcia optymalnej i wydajnej produkcji w złożonych uwarunkowaniach związanych z działalnością górniczą. Celem tego artykułu jest, w oparciu o teorie podejmowania decyzji, wybór odpowiedniej metody eksploatacji oraz opis tej procedury. Artykuł podzielono na dwie części. Pierwsza część daje przegląd problemów związanych z wyborem metody eksploatacji oraz teorię podejmowania decyzji. Druga część omawia wielokryterialną analizę decyzyjną zastosowaną do wyboru metody eksploatacji wraz z przykładami.
