Opis:
Endurance capability is a key indicator to evaluate the performance of electric vehicles. Improving the energy density of battery packs in a limited space while ensuring the safety of the vehicle is one of the currently used technological solutions. Accordingly, a small space and high energy density battery arrangement scheme is proposed in this paper. The comprehensive performance of two battery packs based on the same volume and different space arrangements is compared. Further, based on the same thermal management system (PCM-fin system), the thermal performance of staggered battery packs with high energy density is numerically simulated with different fin structures, and the optimal fin structure parameters for staggered battery packs at a 3C discharge rate are determined using the entropy weight-TOPSIS method. The result reveals that increasing the contact thickness between the fin and the battery (X) can reduce the maximum temperature, but weaken temperature homogeneity. Moreover, the change of fin width (A) has no significant effect on the heat dissipation performance of the battery pack. Entropy weight-TOPSIS method objectively assigns weights to both maximum temperature (Tmax) and temperature difference (DT) and determines the optimal solution for the cooling system fin parameters. It is found that when X = 0:67 mm, A = 0:6 mm, the staggered battery pack holds the best comprehensive performance.

Purpose: To investigate the effects of the training program to improve healthy nutrition and physical activity behaviors of primary school children on weight management. Materials and methods: This study was a quasi-experimental follow up study with pretest and posttest design and included the 5th, 6th and 7th primary school graders (n=122) in İzmir metropolitan city. Experimental group covered 66 and the control group covered 56 students. We identified students’ dietary habits and physical activity behaviors and the influencing factors and prepared and implemented a training program related to their learning needs. Students’ behaviors were monitored for six months and impact of the program was evaluated. Results: Risky eating behaviours in the experimental group decreased but contrary it increased in the control group statistically (p <.05). In the intervention group, mean scores of Physical Activity Questionnaire increased significantly (p <.05). There was no change in the self-efficacy level of the control group students while an increase in the intervention group was detected. Although no statistically significant differences were detected between the two groups in the pretest in terms of weight management, but in the post test it increased in the experimental group (p<.05) The obtained value of OR was 2.99. Conclusions: The training program was effective and made changes in healthy nutrition and physical activity behaviors and so in weight management in the experimental group compared to control group.

Controlling appetite, perceived hunger, and energy intake are important factors in weight management. This narrative review examines the effect of different forms, intensities and duration of exercise on the appetite-regulating hormones leptin, acylated ghrelin, glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and peptide tyrosine tyrosine3-36 (PYY3-36), perceptions of hunger, and energy intake in overweight/obese, and normal weight populations. The studies reviewed compared exercise intensities- low, moderate, and high intensity, and modes of exercise- aerobic and resistance training. The studies selected in this narrative review included participants that ranged in age from 13-57 years old, male and female, previously sedentary and physically active, and normal weight and overweight/obese individuals- defined by body mass index standards (BMI). The primary benefits of exercise on appetite regulation are seen with moderate to high-intensity aerobic exercise; with the most notable relative energy deficit resulting from an exercise bout (at any intensity) that expends the most energy. Further research is warranted to determine if there exists a tendency to overcompensate for energy expended during exercise in certain populations.

The impact of obesity on health, social care and the economy has long been established. Being obese or overweight increases the risk of developing a range of serious diseases including psychological disturbance, diabetes, heart disease, musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis and cancers that lead to premature disability and mortality. The good news is that overweight and obesity are largely prevent and /or control-able through losing weight strategies and fitting room can be an option for whom are observant about their surroundings. The fitting room is usually where the consumer makes their final evaluation about the products while assessing personal appearance, and finally deciding whether or not to purchase the garment. For some people, fitting room it is something to get through without visible or psychic damage and for some others is a horrifying place as they may suddenly realize how overweight or obese they are that could be a challenging start to maintain a healthy body image in a life-changing journey. In fact, the changing room is inspired to provide some people with personal choices toward a desirable weight therapy through engaging in exercise and diet. Hence, fitting room while in shopping even for entertainment purposes is advised as a beneficial life - time decision in weight control and obesity may take place by individual in this way.

The aim of the paper is to apply the spatio-temporal Environmental Kuznets Curve (SpEKC) to test the relationship between economic growth and the amount of collected mixed municipal waste. The analysis was conducted at the level of sixty-six Polish sub-regions. The study contained selected environmental indicators. The dependent variable - the amount of municipal waste generated in kilograms per capita characterized the state of the environment. The GDP per capita in constant prices (as an explanatory variable) presented the level of economic development of the sub-regions. In the empirical part of the research there were used spatial panel data models based on EKCs. It determined the levels of economic development, at which the amount of produced wastes has fallen or increased, depending on the wealth of the region. The application of different types of spatial weight matrices was an important element of this modelling. Data obtained the years 2005-2012. Models were estimated in the RCran package.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań regeneracji zużytej masy rdzeniowej pochodzącej z procesu cold-box. Badaniom poddano masy zużyte składające się głównie z niedopuszczonych do produkcji uszkodzonych rdzeni. Rdzenie te, nie podlegały destrukcji termicznej w formie, stąd ich dalsza obróbka mająca na celu odzyskanie osnowy kwarcowej wymagała zastosowania specjalnych technik pozwalających na efektywne oczyszczenie ziaren piasku z otoczki zużytego materiału wiążącego. W tym celu stosowano kombinację regeneracji mechanicznej o narastającym czasie obróbki w połączeniu z regeneracją termiczną. Odzyskane regeneraty były następnie poddane badaniom mającym na celu określenie ich stopnia oczyszczenia. Spośród znanych metod oceny instrumentalnej regeneratu w badaniach określano wartości: straty prażenia, odczynu pH, składu ziarnowego (analiza sitowa). Jako sprawdzian jakości regeneratu zastosowano badanie wytrzymałości na zginanie mas rdzeniowych sporządzonych na zregenerowanej osnowie.
The paper presents the results of the regeneration of the spent core sand from cold-box process. The study concerned the reclamation treatment of foundry cores which was not allowed to production process due to their not permissible defects. These cores as a compacted core sand which not been subjected to thermal destruction in the mould had fully preserved their previous characteristic eg. strength, shape and volume hardening. In this case regeneration aimed at recovering the quartz matrix requires the use of special techniques to clean the grains of sand from the used binding material. To solve this problem the special preparing of used cores were applied ensuring the proper grain size composition subjected to dedusting prior to reclamation treatment. Both the mechanical and mechanical-thermal methods of regeneration were tested during research. The recovered the quartz matrix was evalutated by following of well known instrumental tests: loss on ignition, pH value, sieve analysis, dust content. Furthermore reclaim was used to prepare core sand and to perform test bending strength tests.
