Opis:: Artykuł przedstawia technikę analizy porównawczej jako narzędzie inżynierii wymagań. Wytyczne HHS tworzą obiektywną porządkową skalę pomiarową, przydatną do porównywania jakości użytkowej witryn internetowych o zbliżonej tematyce. Kompletowanie zestawu wytycznych zgodnie z celem analizy zwiększa praktyczne znaczenie uzyskiwanego rankingu witryn internetowych. Technika analizy porównawczej opartej o skalę pomiarową HHS okazała się skuteczna w ramach projektów dydaktycznych i kwalifikacyjnych.
This paper presents a comparative analysis technique as a tool for requirements engineering. HHS guidelines form an objective ordinal measuring scale which is useful for comparing the usability of web-sites with similar themes. Each guideline is described in a study using the relative weights (called Relative Importance) and probative force (called Strength of Evidence). Completing a set of guidelines in accordance with the objective of the project increases practical significance of the obtained ranking of IT products. The comparative analysis technique based on the measuring scale HHS proved to be effective for qualification projects. Section 2 of the paper describes a set of guidelines and a grading scale of HHS. Section 3 presents the authors' proposal concerning the order of selection guidelines for a particular study (see Fig. 1). Section 4 describes a case study on the comparative analysis of selected music vortals in the master's diploma project (it was the pioneering work for the Department of Electronics and Computer Science of the Koszalin University of Technology).

I will point out places that the school seems to ignore or skip. User-oriented design,usability and accessibility are the criteria by which we are happy to visit websites and we come back to them.The question we can ask whether the school can use the potential of new technologies?

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy dostępności zasobów cyfrowych (naukowych i edukacyjnych) w serwisach www 131 polskich uczelni publicznych. Wykorzystując metodę benchmarkingu, badano umiejscowienie i sposób organizowania dostępu do zasobów cyfrowych lub do jednostek uczelni, które je udostępniają. Analizie poddano strony internetowe uczelni, serwisy www bibliotek i strony internetowe wydawnictw. Zweryfikowano, czy w serwisach www dostępne są profesjonalne narzędzia wyszukiwawcze i jakie, a także czy możliwy jest zdalny dostęp do oferowanych e-zasobów. Przedstawiono również informacje o dodatkowych, specjalnych usługach poszerzających ofertę zbiorów w wersji cyfrowej. Rezultaty badań pozwoliły wskazać podobieństwa i różnice w prezentacji zasobów pomiędzy uczelniami różnego typu.
Presentation of digital resources on the websites of Polish public universities – similarities and differences. The article presents the results of the analysis of the accessibility of digital (scientific and educational) resources on the web sites of 131 Polish public universities. Using the benchmarking method, the location and the way of organising the access to digital resources or to the units of the university, which make them available, were examined. The following were taken into consideration: university websites, library websites and publishing house websites. It was analysed if and what professional search tools are available in the web services for users and if a remote access to the offered e-resources is possible. Information on additional, special services extending the offer of digital collections was also presented. The results of the research allowed to indicate the similarities and differences in the presentation of the resources between the universities of different types.

Opis:: Celem pracy była weryfikacja różnych aspektów związanych z dostępnością i użytecznością serwisów internetowych zawierających rozkład jazdy dwóch firm realizujących publiczne usługi komunikacyjne. Podjęte kwestie dotyczyły przede wszystkim formy graficznej narzędzi dostępności, sposobu dostępu do tychnarzędzi, umiejscowienia ich w witrynie, zastosowania alternatywnych nazw i opisów. Obiektami badań były dwa istniejące serwisy www dwóch firm przewozowych ludzi. Dodatkowo dla celów badań wykonano dwa prototypowe serwisy. Przygotowano i przeprowadzono eksperyment, w którym wzięło udział 13 osób. Zastosowano metodę badawczą wykorzystującą technikę eye-trackingową. Uzyskano wyniki w postaci map cieplnych, ścieżek skanowania, czasówrealizacji zadań, ocen wykonania zadań oraz liczby fiksacji na obiekcie zainteresowania. Po przeprowadzeniu analiz zebranych wyników wyciągnięto następujące wnioski: użycie podobnych symboli graficznych często wprowadza w błąd użytkowników; niebezpośrednidostęp do narzędzi dostępności na ogół utrudnia użytkownikom z nich skorzystanie; nieprzemyślany wygląd niektórych elementów strony stwarza problemy dla odbiorców treści; eksperymentowanie z umiejscowieniem niektórych narzędzi powoduje trudności z ich znalezieniem; dużą dezorientację na stronach internetowych wprowadzają nietypowe nazwy, linki, opcje menu; duża ilość treści i brak wyeksponowania tego co najważniejsze powoduje problemy ze znalezieniem właściwej informacji; brak podpisów grafiki powoduje, że użytkownicy często muszą się dłużej zastanowić i sprawdzić czy to czego chcą użyć jest właściwą opcją; umieszczenie elementu/informacji na dole strony na ogół wydłuża czas dotarcia do nich.
The purpose of the study was to verify various aspects related to the accessibility and usability of the timetable websites of two companies providing public transportation services. The issues addressed mainly concerned the graphic form of accessibility tools, the way of accessing these tools, their location in the site, the use of alternative names and descriptions. The objects of the research were two existing websites of two people transportation companies. In addition, two prototype sites were made for the purposes of the research. An experiment was prepared and conducted with 13 participants. A research method using the eye tracking technique was applied. The results were obtained in the form of heat maps, scan paths, task completion times, task performance ratings and the number of fixations on the object of interest. After analyzing the collected results, the following conclusions were drawn: the use of similar graphic symbols often confuses users; indirect access to accessibility tools generally makes it difficult for users to use them; the ill-conceived design of some page elements creates problems for content viewers; experimenting with the placement of some tools causes difficulty in finding them; a great deal of confusion on websites is introduced by unusual names, links, menu options; a large amount of content and the lack of prominence of what is most important cause problems in finding the right information; the lack of captioning of graphics often causes users to have to think longer and check if what they want to use is the right option; placing an item/information at the bottom of the page generally extends the time to reach it.

The paper discusses the issues relating to design websites compatible with the web-usability. The mass access to the Internet, more and more channels of communication and the rapid development of mobile technologies pose new challenges for web-developers. Providing high-usability applications to display on screens, tablets and mobile phones has become a key issue for the company and its designer.

Opis:: Praca przedstawia analizę dwóch serwisów pod kątem dostępności i użyteczności. Zaimplementowany został autorski serwis e-commerce posiadający usprawnienia dla osób niepełnosprawnych. Serwis ten został porównany z popularną witryną działającą komercyjnie - serwisem Amazon. W badaniach zrealizowanych na grupie dziesięciu studentów wykorzystano technikę eyetrackingową, opracowaną do tego celu ankietę oraz listę kontrolną LUT. Przeprowadzono również badanie dostępności internetowym narzędziem WAVE. Do oceny serwisów w badaniu okulograficznym wybrano pięć miar: czas wykonania zadania, średni czas fiksacji, średnia liczba fiksacji, średni czas trwania sakady oraz średnia liczba sakad. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników i po ich wstępnej obróbce sporządzono podstawowe statystyki oraz wykresy pudełkowe ułatwiające ich interpretację. Otrzymane wyniki pokazują, że strona autorska uzyskała krótszeczasy wykonania zadań, porównywalne poziomy miar eyetrackingowych, wyższe oceny na podstawie listy kontrolnej LUT oraz mniejszą liczbębłędów, które zostały zdiagnozowane walidatorem WAVE niż strona Amazon.
This paper presents an analysis of two websites in terms of accessibility and usability. An authorial e-commerce website with improvements for people with disabilities was implemented. The website was compared with a popular commercial service. The study was conducted on a group of students and used the eye tracking method, a questionnaire developed for the purpose of the study and the LUT checklist. Additionally, an accessibility study was performed using the WAVE web accessibility evaluation tool. In the eye tracking study five measures were selected to evaluate the websites: the task completion time, the mean fixation time, the mean number of fixations, the mean saccade duration, and the mean number of saccades. On the basis of the obtained results and after their initial processing basic statistics and box plots were created to facilitate interpretation of the results.

Opis:: Purpose: Interactivity and simplicity of navigation make users browse a website, and its usefulness is the main factor which influences the intention of using it to buy a product or service. The aim of the paper was to identify the most frequent project errors that negatively impact the usability of websites of agortourism farms. Design/methodology/approach: The surveys were carried out by the audit method in a set of websites which were grouped according to accepted categories. The audit was based on a heuristic analysis using a control list. Findings: A number of usability problems have been identified in the set of examined websites; however, the most important were the lack of explicit updates or the presentation of outdated information, as well as the dysfunction of forms – contact and inquiry. Zero-category sites are unusable. They are characterised, among others, by no visible updates (or presentation of outdated information), archaic technique of execution, often based on so-called “Frames” (iframes) or tables, as well as imperfect, archaic graphic design. Originality/value: The usefulness of a website (reflected in the design details) goes into the background when it only serves an information and contact function and does not provide advanced functionalities, such as, for example, an accommodation booking form. In the case of agrotourism farms, the most important elements are the thematic graphic design and exhaustive content.
