Opis:: Przykłady kształtowania wodnych urządzeń w strukturze miast wskazują na różnorodność metod i środków. Można wymienić kilka walorów wody, wykorzystywanych w projektowaniu architektonicznym i urbanistycznym: dekoracyjno-artystyczne, kompozycyjno-przestrzenne, ekologiczne, regulujące klimat. W artykule przedstawiono praktyczne wykorzystanie urządzeń wodnych na przykładzie wodno-przyrodniczego systemu miasta Mińska. System ten posiada dwa rodzaje źródeł wody: podziemne i powierzchniowe. Ten unikalny kompleks hydrotechniczny składa się z dużych zbiorników, kanału o długości 65 km oraz systemu stacji pomp. Kolejnym unikalnym obiektem jest system wodny Slepjanka o długości 22 km w okolicy Mińska z 11 zbiornikami, który jest ulubionym miejscem wypoczynku mieszkańców Mińska. Artykuł omawia kierunki wykorzystania zasobności w wodę do organizacji systemu nadwodnych terenów zielonych w Mińsku.
Water public welfare of towns includes wide arsenal of methods and expedients. It is possible to share out decorative-artistic, compositional-expansive, ecological and climat-regulational aspects. These properties are used in architecture and urban planning. In article the peculiarities of water supply system of Minsk is described. This system has two kinds of water sources: underground and surface one’s. This unique hydrotechnic complex consists of big storage reservoirs, the channel of 62 km length, and some powerful pump stations. The second unique object is Slepjanka water system with the length of 22 km on the domain of Minsk and 11 cascades of pictorial reservoirs, which became the favorite places of rest for inhabitants of Minsk. The article discusses ways of using of water welfare for organization of Minsk water-greens system.

Opis:: Aim/purpose – This paper attempts to appraise the potential of water resources for Cameroon and the standard of living conditions confronting people in the country. Design/methodology/approach – A simple descriptive method of data analysis is adopted using analytical tools such as percentages, tables, and means to achieve the objectives of the inquiry. Data for the study were generated from personal observations in one hand and collected from water resources literature, on the other hand. Findings – With the help of the data gathered, the paper establishes that despite the existence of abundant water resources in Cameroon the standard of living conditions of people with respect to basic needs of survival such as drinking water, improved sanitation services, and electricity supply is far below expectation. Research implications/limitations – The main implication of the study is that in spite of the surplus volume of water resources (325.96 km3 or 95.12% of annual total water resources) endowment in Cameroon, the population benefits marginally from it due to the mismanagement of resources and misplacement of priorities as obtained in most sub-Saharan African countries. One limitation of this study is that the use of limited primary data in the investigation offers no room toward establishing the extent of water resources allocation to the various users of water in the country. Originality/value/contribution – The paper suggests that the government of Cameroon should encourage the population to run community basic social services projects and subsidize the activities of such ventures in kind through technical assistance or in cash.

Opis:: W pracy zaprezentowano metodykę badań i sposób przygotowania stanowiska badawczego materaców wodnych dla bydła mlecznego. Do badań przygotowano stanowiska w oborze wolnostanowiskowej z obsadą 69 krów dojnych, z czego 15 sztuk wyznaczono dla oddzielnej grupy krów w oddzielnym boksie z legowiskami wyposażonymi w materace wodne. Badania polegają na ocenie ekonomicznej i jakościowej oraz funkcjonalnej materaców oraz określeniu wpływu na dobrostan zwierząt.
Paper described the methodology of investigation and manner of preparing the stand for testing the water mattresses for dairy cows. The investigations are provided to be carried out in a free-stall cattle barn, of the stock density 69 milking cows; 15 cows of that should be selected and located as a separate group into independent box, of beddings equipped with the water mattresses. The investigations comprise the economic, qualitative and functional evaluation of mattresses as well as their influence on the animal welfare.
