    W artykule przedstawiono dwusektorowy model cen i kursu walutowego, należący do nurtu ekonomii matematycznej, funkcjonujący w warunkach reżimu kursu zmiennego. Model zapisano w postaci układu dwóch równań różniczkowych pierwszego rzędu względem cen towarów handlowych i niehandlowych. Za pomocą modelu pokazano główne kanały transmisji polityki gospodarczej – pieniężnej, fiskalnej i płacowej – na ceny i realny kurs walutowy w warunkach podziału produkcji na towary handlowe i niehandlowe.
    This paper presents a two-sector model of prices and exchange rate, belonging to the mainstream of mathematical economics. The model operates under floating exchange rate regime. The model is given in the system form of two first order differential equations with respect to prices of tradables and non-tradables. Using the model we show the main transmission channels of economic policy – monetary, fiscal and wage – on prices and real exchange rate in terms of production divided into tradables and non-tradables goods.

    The purpose of this article is to present the most essential aspects of minimal wage institution functioning in the current international law, as well as to conduct an analysis of several selected legal end economic issues connected with the amount of remuneration payed to employees and its minimum rate. They seem significant in connection to political events that are nowadays taking place in some European countries. The key legal acts issued by s ubmitted by ILO will be analyzed, while special attention will be placed on the provisions of the Convention because of their particular status in the International Labor Organization’s legal acts’ system. What is more, the conclusions regarding this issue in the economic context will be drawn. It will allow for the explanation of this issue based not only on economic policy considerations, but also one which is closely connected with current state of international law.
    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie najistotniejszych aspektów funkcjonowania instytucji płacy minimalnej w dobie obecnego kształtu prawa międzynarodowego i dokonanie analizy kilku wybranych prawnych i ekonomicznych zagadnień związanych z wysokością wypłacanego pracownikom wynagrodzenia oraz jego minimalnych stawek. Wydają się one istotne w związku z wydarzeniami politycznymi, jakie mają miejsce w przypadku niektórych państw europejskich. Sformułowane ponadto będą wnioski związane z tą problematyką z perspektywy ekonomicznej. Pozwoli to na eksplikację tego zagadnienia opartą nie tylko na rozważaniach z zakresu polityki gospodarczej, lecz ściśle powiązaną z aktualnym stanem prawa międzynarodowego.

    Objectives: The aim of this paper is to address the cycle from monetary policy becoming the main instrument of macroeconomic stabilisation to the current unexpected decline in its effectiveness. Research Design and Methods: This article analyses how preventing the risk of wage-price spirals unwinding became the main task of central banks. Such a perception of monetary policy role was a natural consequence of the Great Inflation of the 1970s and the substantial costs of disinflation of the 1980s. Then this paper highlights the causes behind the recent unexpected emergence of persistently low inflation. Among the most important causes of this were structural changes which took place also in labour markets, being the outcome of the twilight of traditional manufacturing and increasing globalisation. Findings: The structural weakening of the bargaining position labour creates situation in which the period when monetary policy was focused on preventing wage-price spirals has ended. If advanced economies are entering a long period of low inflation and low interest rates, it will necessitate a reformulation of the role that central banks play in stabilisation policies. Recommendation: This paper postulates that central banks should acquire a pivotal role in the macroprudential policy. The main argument is that the independence of central banks, which they obtained when fighting inflation, would increase the effectiveness of the macro-prudential policy. Contribution: Usually success in lowering and stabilising inflation is attributed mainly to the changes in the way in which central banks have been conducting their monetary policy since the early 1980s. This article highlights the fact that the role which was played in this process by the substantial weakening of the labour bargaining position is still underappreciated.

    The article considers pertinent issues related to social policymaking and its implementation in Ukraine. Emphasis is placed on remuneration as the key element of ensuring citizens’ welfare and economic development of the state. Remuneration plays one of the most important roles in the economic system and ensuring a decent standard of living. The wage reflects the employee’s welfare level and should be correlated with the qualification level and productivity in the production spheres or determined according to the set qualification criteria, quality assessment system and efficiency of employees in non-production spheres. Low remuneration standards and low correlation between wages and productivity affect the motivation of the workforce and reduce its economic and labour activity. The analysis of the minimum wage and subsistence level as the categories defining the status and directions of economic and social policy of the state has been performed. The minimum wage has a decisive influence on many social and economic processes. A significant issue in Ukraine is that establishing the minimum wage in the legislation is made without objective analysis and taking into account the financial and economic conditions that should be the basis for the state social policymaking. The minimum wage directly affects the volume and structure of the expenditure part of state and local budgets, as it is one of the basic elements for making the payroll of budgetary institutions and organizations. For business structures, the minimum wage is an indicator that reflects the economic and social policy of the state, as well as a microeconomic category that affects their current business activities and the production and financial strategy making. Some aspects of the current social protection system in Ukraine have been described. One of the main issues in Ukraine is the excessive number of legislative acts regulating social protection matters. Another important issue is that a significant number of benefits and social transfers, which are stipulated in the legislation and guaranteed to the citizens, cannot be implemented due to lack of financial resources in the state budget. Today, one of the priority tasks of the state policy is to address issues of reforming the social protection system and the introduction of new efficient mechanisms for financing and managing the social services system. It has been noted about the need to develop and set in the legislation a system of social standards and norms, as well as the development of a standardised mechanism for determining the minimum wage and subsistence level based on and depending on the socio-economic development indicators.

    The goal of the paper is to determine the role and instruments of the state policy regarding labor market at the national level. It considers in detail the role of the state policy applied to shape employment conditions in public and private sectors in terms of its legal status and implementation. Moreover, the state indicates a significant framework for the scope, mainly by determination of the minimum wages but also, as an employer, by defining average and the highest wages in economy. Moreover, there is presented an analysis of implementation of this policy, in which such aspects as the level, dynamics, structure and pay of employees were studied. Poland constitutes the study area of the analysis, although sometimes there are made justified and necessary references to the whole area of the EU. The study period of the empirical observations covers the years 2004-2012.

    Różnorodność szoków oddziałujących na inflację cen w Polsce sprawia, że rozstrzygnięcie o roli każdego z nich nie jest możliwe bez wykorzystania właściwych metod analizy ilościowej. W artykule przedstawiono ekonometryczny makromodel cen i płac, w którym wyeksponowano bezpośrednie oddziaływanie na inflację szoków podażowych transmitowanych z rynków surowców energetycznych oraz oddziaływanie tych szoków na sprzężenie płacowo-cenowe. Ze względu na tajność danych o cenach i wolumenów importu gazu ziemnego z Rosji do Polski zaproponowano metodę oszacowania deflatora importu gazu ziemnego na podstawie danych o pozostałych głównych surowcach energetycznych (ropa naftowa i węgiel). Model umożliwia ocenę, w jakim stopniu ceny krajowe (CPI) zależą od tendencji na rynkach światowych (w tym od cen surowców energetycznych), a w jakim stopniu od cen krajowych; możliwe jest oszacowanie wpływu polityki fiskalnej na kształtowanie się cen. Równania modelu są konstruowane przy wykorzystaniu metod kointegracyjnych dla zdezagregowanych indeksów cen konsumenta i cen importu. Własności systemu 19 równań są badane przy wykorzystaniu analizy mnożnikowej. Zaprezentowano wyniki symulacji, w której założono niepodejmowanie działań antykryzysowych w okresie pandemii COVID-19. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na istotną rolę polityki fiskalnej w kształtowaniu cen.
    Quantitative analysis is an appropriate tool to disentangle the impact of various recent shocks on price inflation in Poland. This article presents an econometric macro-model of prices and wages in which the direct impact of supply shocks transmitted from energy commodity markets on inflation is highlighted, and the impact of these shocks on the wage-price nexus. Due to the secrecy of data on the prices and volumes of natural gas imports from Russia to Poland, we propose a method for estimating the natural gas import deflator based on data on other main energy resources (crude oil and coal). The model allows us to assess to what extent domestic prices (CPI) depend on trends in world markets, including energy commodity prices. It is also possible to estimate the impact of fiscal policy on price developments. The equations of the model are constructed using cointegration methods for disaggregated consumer and import price indices. The properties of the system of 19 equations are investigated using multiplier analysis. We present the results of a simulation in which no anti-crisis measures were assumed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The obtained results indicate the important role of fiscal policy in shaping prices.

    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie opinii polskich pracowników dotyczących: minimalnego wynagrodzenia w odniesieniu do roli tego wynagrodzenia jako instrumentu polityki społecznej, treści medialnych o relacji pracownika z pracodawcą oraz poczucia sprawiedliwości społecznej. Analiza naświetla minimalne wynagrodzenie pod kątem sytuacji prawnej, aspektów polityki społecznej oraz narracji pojawiających się w mediach. W artykule zostały przedstawione wyniki badania opinii przeprowadzonego na reprezentatywnej grupie Polaków. Na podstawie ich analizy można wnioskować, że minimalne wynagrodzenie w opinii respondentów powinno być ukształtowane na poziomie pozwalającym przeżyć, co może rodzić pytania o jego indywidualizację i dywersyfikację w zależności od indywidualnych cech pracującego.
    The purpose of the article is to show the minimum remuneration in relation to the principle of equitable remuneration. The analysis shows the minimum salary in terms of the legal situation, social policy aspects and media narratives. Finally are presented the results of a survey conducted on a representative group of Poles that show that the minimum wage in the respondents’ opinion should be at a level allowing them to survive.

    Seven-year-old interim period for adapting the internal right to the settlement of Bond, what 01 May 2004 countries stopping by on had to the European Union passed w2011 of the year. Well-developed countries of Western Europe being afraid of threats on internal markets, in such fields like e.g. transport market, implemented the number of regulations governing the predicted state. A regulation of the European Parliament was enforced No. 1072 / concerning 2009 of common principles of the access of international cartages, which in spite of implementing significant limitations, was supposed to organize cabotage operations in every Member State. However the protection of self-interests turned out to be stronger than the unity of Community and some of states, peculiarly Germany implemented severe impediments for foreign carriers, forcing them to apply the introduced minimum wage with MiLoG.
