Opis:
Solving a problem of building the automatic control system of the industrial rubber article technological process by means of modeling software is one of the essential parts of providing the technological effectiveness. The work concerns the problem of application of the method of the nonparametric identification of a nonlinear dynamic control object for the process of modification of crushed vulcanized rubber. This process is an explicit nonlinear and nonstationary system of control parameters. The application of this method allows to obtain reliable information on an object without difficult computation, and the reliability of the method is corroborated graphically and with the computation. Depending on the degree of complexity of an object this method can be deterministic or probabilistic, can describe only time development, only spatial development or time-spatial development of an object. The influence of the process type on the identification results was analyzed in the work. Therefore, the task of increasing the quickness of information selection about the object is still a topical problem for the non-parametric identification. Conclusions about a possibility of activation of the identification procedure were made. The elaborated algorithm allows to apply it for other technological processes with self-adjusting systems when the condition of quasi-stationarity is fulfilled.

Opis:
Vulcanised rubber as a complex system is made from the basic component being virgin rubber and various components amounting to 10-15 per cent or even more. The material gains its most valuable properties in the final phase of processing i.e. vulcanisation. In mechanical as well as automotive engineering it is important for vulcanised rubber to be resistant to grease, oil and fuel in high operating temperatures. Being one of the very valuable isolation materials, vulcanised rubber is also characterized by dielectric and elastic properties as well as distinguished resistance to operating conditions (high/low temperature, weather conditions). All the above mentioned applications of vulcanised rubbers are also found in the shipyard industry. Their use is also very much predicated on the properties such as: ability to attenuate mechanical vibrations, high elasticity, considerable elastic deformability under static and dynamic loads, low permeability of water and gas, resistance to various chemicals, and other. The purpose of this article was to determine the hardness of vulcanised rubber samples obtained from various places on the “Izabel” inland barge. The scope of the study covered sampling and preparing the samples for testing (i.e. cleaning and degreasing the samples). Then, the hardness of the samples was measured using the Shore hardness test. The first part of the article presents the general concept of vulcanised rubber, its main components, properties, applications, and ageing. The second part focuses on the research scope and measuring the hardness of vulcanised rubber samples obtained from the “Izabel” inland barge. vulcanised rubber, hardness, ageing, wear and tear wulkanizowanej gumy, twardość, starzenie się, zużycie

Opis:
: Experimental results of effects of thermomechanical couplings occurring both in natural vulcanized rubber and rubber with self-healing polyurethane subjected to tension at different strain rates are presented. Mechanical characteristics were recorded by testing machine, while the sample temperature changes accompanying the deformation process was measured by infrared camera. The goal was to investigate influence of self-healing polyurethane on the rubber mechanical and thermomechanical properties. It was found that the introduction of the self-healing polyurethane ensures the higher elasticity and the lower tensile strength of the rubber. It was also confirmed that the material is very sensitive to the strain rate; the higher the strain rate, the higher the values of the stress and temperature increases have been obtained.

Opis:
The normal mode solution for the form function and target strength (TS) of a solid-filled spherical shell is derived. The calculation results of the spherical shell’s acoustic TS are in good agreement with the results of the finite element method (FEM). Based on these normal mode solutions, the influences of parameters such as the material, radius, and thickness of the inner and outer shells on the TS of a solid-filled spherical shell are analyzed. An underwater spherical shell scatterer is designed, which uses room temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicone rubber as a solid filling material and does not contain a suspension structure inside. The scatterer has a good TS enhancement effect.
