    Opis:
    Marriage is a basic human vocation realized by the majority of the members of the Church. Man and woman are called to be a space in which God's love manifests and gives birth to life. The sacrament of marriage strengthens their love and at the same time indicates the obligations of their calling. Studies conducted among spouses have shown that a high percentage of spouses view their vocation to marital love from a theological perspective, in accordance with the teaching of the Church. This is more often understood by women, spouses over 46 and those belonging to religious associations. Challenges in shaping the understanding of the call to love are men, younger spouses, the less educated and those not affiliated with the Church.
    Małżeństwo jest podstawowym powołaniem człowieka, realizowanym przez większość członków Kościoła. Mężczyzna i kobieta są powołani do bycia przestrzenią, w której przejawia się miłość Boża i rodzi życie. Sakrament małżeństwa umacnia ich miłość, a jednocześnie wskazuje zobowiązania ich powołania. Przeprowadzone wśród małżonków badania dowiodły, że wysoki odsetek małżonków postrzega swoje powołanie do miłości małżeńskiej w perspektywie teologicznej, zgodnie z nauczaniem Kościoła. Częściej rozumieją je w ten sposób kobiety, małżonkowie w wieku powyżej 46 roku życia oraz należący do zrzeszeń religijnych. Wyzwanie w zakresie kształtowania rozumienia powołania do miłości stanowią mężczyźni, małżonkowie młodsi, słabiej wykształceni oraz nie zrzeszeni w Kościele.

    Opis:
    Marriage is a profound communion of life and love established by the Creator and normalized by His laws. It is the strongest bond that can exist between a man and a woman. The concept of marriage is closely connected with its monogamous character. Spouses in the sacrament of marriage get the proper grace from Christ, designed to improve love and to strengthen their indissoluble unity. Nowadays marriage is experiencing a crisis. Therefore, it would be presented not only as a covenant community or an institution, but as a vocation. The vocation is an act of summoning, which involves the mission consisting in completing a given task. The essence of a Christian vocation stemming from baptism is a dialogue of the freedom of God and a man, preceded by the choice of the person and commission of the given mission. A sacramental marriage is the way of bounding with God and following Christ, that is the most appropriate way to holiness for spouses. Therefore, an important message for a modern man is to present marriage as a vocation that is addressed to two people, which should be accepted by them and implemented. This situation also requires a change of the pastoral perspective and new opening not only for spouses, for whom marriage is a way to bind with God, but there is the needed to be opened to those for whom marriage is only the fulfillment of the requirements by the Church to get married.
    Małżeństwo jest głęboką wspólnotą życia i miłości, ustanowioną przez Stwórcę i unormowaną Jego prawami. Jest najsilniejszą więzią, jaka może zaistnieć między kobietą i mężczyzną. Pojęcie małżeństwa łączy się ściśle z jego monogamicznym charakterem. Małżonkowie w sakramencie małżeństwa otrzymują od Chrystusa właściwą im łaskę, przeznaczoną do doskonalenia miłości i dla umacniania ich nierozerwalnej jedności. W obecnych czasach małżeństwo doświadcza kryzysu. Warto byłoby zatem ukazać je nie tylko jako przymierze, wspólnotę czy instytucję, ale jako powołanie. Powołanie jest aktem wezwania, które wiąże się z posłannictwem polegającym na wypełnieniu określonego zadania. Istotą powołania chrześcijańskiego wynikającego z chrztu św. jest dialog wolności Boga i człowieka, poprzedzony wyborem osoby i zleceniem jej misji. To właśnie sakramentalny związek małżeński jest sposobem związania się z Bogiem, pójścia za Chrystusem, czyli najwłaściwszą dla małżonków drogą kroczenia do świętości. Dlatego ważnym przesłaniem dla współczesnego człowieka jest ukazanie małżeństwa jako powołania, które skierowane jest do dwojga ludzi i powinno być przez nich przyjęte i realizowane.

    Opis:
    Contemporary socio-cultural changes and the mentality associated mainly with individualism have a significant impact on marriage and family. This is manifested not only in the change of the concept of marriage and family, but also in delaying the decision of marriage, alternative forms of marital life, acceptance of divorces and infidelity, as well as transformation in the understanding and realization of the procreative function of marriage. The report published by CBOS in January 2010 presenting the results of the studies on the procreation attitudes of Poles shows that the vast majority of respondents under 30 years of age are planning to have an offspring, but there are also those who do not intend to have children. There are many reasons for this approach to procreation, and the phenomenon of voluntary exclusion of children from marital life is referred to as childfree by choice. Although childlessness affects nowadays many marriage couples, and it has its roots in various biological and social reasons, being childfree by choice is a conscious attitude of exclusion offspring from marital life, in a situation where parenting is possible, based on different motives and not just for some defined period of time in marriage, but for the whole martial life. The phenomenon of childfree by choice is the subject of researches of various sciences, including sociology, psychology, anthropology, cultural studies and philosophy. The childfree by choice, understood as a specific attitude to formation of marital life, is also an interest of moral theology, especially of its important branch which is the morality of marriage and family life. The following text is an attempt to assess the problem of the childfree by choice from the perspective of catholic moral theology and its confrontation with the core values associated with the meaning of marriage and family life. One of the fundamental values of marriage is the vocation of spouses to parenthood, the negation of which is the attitude to the childfree by choice. Another problem that arises in connection with the conscious resignation by spouses of parenting is the understanding of the nature of spousal love, which is the foundation of marriage. Childfree by choice is an attitude justified by the spouses with different reasons, including responsibility, which makes it important to confront the issue from the perspective of the concept closely connected with married life, namely responsible parenthood. Marriage and the fulfillment of its procreative function is for the catholic moral theology an important social value, consequently also from this point of view the attitude of conscious choice of childfree in marriage was analyzed.

    Opis:
    The article, taking into account the essence of love and its meaning for personal development, explains the diversity of forms of love and indicates that the attitude of love is based upon kindliness, goodness, forgiveness, tolerance, overcoming weakness and upon hope. The attitude of love is geared to creation of good, waiving offences and drawing conclusions from every difficult or unpleasant situation. Thanks to love a man transgress himself, his world grows and he develops himself spiritually. The paper also emphasizes that the ability to love and the need of love are one of the deepest, most primal human needs and the transmission of feelings of love on different stages of human's development, starting from childhood, is the most common human experience. The carried out analysis also stresses that the process of the upbringing to love cannot be left to its fate, but to loving and correctly formed family. The author of the paper, making use of many years’ standing research on the legacy of John Paul II, outlines his understanding of love and tasks that arise from the relation to this important value and attitude, for married couples and families. The parenthood and upbringing are depicted as the communio personarum and family as the place of upbringing to love and live in the community of persons. Writing about types and the essence of love author apart from Karol Wojtyła, quotes views of other thinkers: St. Thomas, rev. F. Sawicki and contemporary philosopher G. Reale. She emphasizes that love is a personal relation that we learn in family. The article provides the detailed description of tasks for individual family members in the process of shaping the attitude of love and indicates on family as the most important and irreplaceable environment.
