    Opis:
    Development and maintenance of understandable and modifiable software is very challenging. Good system design and implementation requires strict discipline. The architecture of a project can sometimes be exceptionally difficult to grasp by developers. A project’s documentation gets outdated in a matter of days. These problems can be addressed using software analysis and visualization tools. Incorporating such tools into the process of continuous integration provides a constant up-to-date view of the project as a whole and helps keeping track of what is going on in the project. In this article we describe an innovative method of software analysis and visualization using graph-based approach. The benefits of this approach are shown through experimental evaluation in visual assessment of software quality using a proof-of-concept implementation — the Magnify tool.

    Opis:
    Visualization models have accompanied the designing of buildings and structures since ancient times. Their purpose has been to give the investor an idea of what a building and different solutions applied in it would look like. To this end, models of different materials were built. But as technology progresses, it became possible to create new visualization tools and methods. Initially, drawing boards were replaced by computer programs referred to as computer-aided design (CAD), which supported the design process. They facilitated the creation of sets of lines and simple planes. With time, the designers increasingly felt the need to shape not just rectilinear but also curvilinear objects by means of computers. This is when parametrization came in handy. Parameters constitute a set of variables which can be shaped while keeping the interdependencies between them. Parametric modelling gave rise to the building information modelling (BIM). Now, a virtual model can not only be shaped in a digital environment but also enriched with different information. This way it not only has a geometry but also a structure. It was also assigned other data allowing identification of the material or technology used to erect a building or a structure. Parametrized elements of a building provide information about their number, purchase cost or physical properties. Parameters allow making quick and seamless corrections. Thanks to the application of advanced technologies, designers from different areas can keep track of these changes. Following accepting them, one can easily generate a complete set of technical documents and use them in a digital or paper format at a construction site. Parametrization makes it possible to erect buildings and structures that would have been impossible to design in the past. Today, every designer either already uses parametric modelling or will start using it sooner or later.

    Rewolucja technologiczna w komunikacji, w nowych formułach przekazu, w mnogości aplikacji – fascynuje, dając ogromne możliwości, wiele nadziei - przynosi ze sobą także wiele niewiadomych. Sondowanie potrzeb edukacyjnych, metod pracy, sposobów inspirowania ucznia, to nieodzowny krok w kierunku zastosowania nowych technologii w konkretnych działaniach, tworzonych programach i projektach, to także istotny element konwencji cyfrowej szkoły. Olbrzymi udział obrazu (i obrazowania) w komunikacji grupowej oznacza, że alfabetyzm wizualny jest w takim samym stopniu niezbędny do uzyskiwania informacji, operowanie nią, jej wykorzystywania oraz przesyłania, jak umiejętność czytania. Coraz częściej stykamy się z tworzeniem wspólnej przestrzeni edukacyjnej ucznia, szkoły, biblioteki. Warto uświadomić sobie, co jest wyrazem aktualnych przyzwyczajeń młodego pokolenia. Jak wdrożyć do aktywności czytania, a co za tym idzie, analitycznego myślenia, niezbędnego uczniowi w uczeniu się i samokształceniu? Liternet, powszechne nauczanie online (MOOC), platformy edukacji w sieci (od oficjalnych po społecznościowe) - jako nowe zjawiska sieciowe, najbardziej skutecznie ilustrują zakres funkcjonowania uczenia się. Także obraz miejsca literatury i związanych z nią innych form pracy, w szerokich społecznościach związanych z internetową twórczością i odbiorem - ulega przeobrażeniom. Powszechnie dostępne wizualne informacje (w tym infografiki), wsparte ciekawymi aplikacjami, dostępnymi również w sprzęcie mobilnym, rozwijają zainteresowania literaturą, jej nowymi formami prezentacji i odbioru. Rozwój technologii informacyjnych, a zwłaszcza tych wizualnych, ponownie spowodował zwracanie się myśli ludzkiej do komunikacji wizualnej, jej zasad i języka. Coraz częściej mówimy o konieczności edukacji dla bycia i działania w przestrzeni wizualnej, a dalej nawet do budowania języka takiej komunikacji. Współczesne spojrzenie na edukację, uwzględniające znaczenie mediów cyfrowych, owocuje włączeniem technologicznych, wizualnych i komunikacyjnych umiejętności do programów kształcenia tradycyjnych dziedzin szkolnych i poszerzenia działań bibliotek.
    The technological revolution in communication, in its new forms and the multitude of applications is fascinating. It offers great opportunities, a lot of hope and at the same time, many unknowns. Examining the educational needs, working methods and ways to inspire the student is an essential step towards the use of new technologies in specific activities, programs and projects. It is also an important element of the digital school model. The considerable role of the image (and imaging) in group communication means that visual literacy is as necessary to obtain, operate, use and transfer information, as traditional literacy. Creating a common educational space for the student, the school and the library becomes a more and more popular phenomenon. We should be aware of the expressions of the current habits younger generation have. How to initiate the reading activity, and thus, analytical thinking, which is an essential element of the learning and self-education process? Liternet, the universal online teaching (Mooc), educational platforms in the Net (from the official to social ones) - these new network phenomena illustrate the most effectively the extent of the operation of the learning process. Also, the place of literature and other related forms of work in broad communities, associated with web creation and reception, is being transformed. Commonly available visual information (including infographics), supported by interesting applications, also available in mobile devices, develop interest in literature and its new forms of presentation and reception. The development of information technologies, especially the visual ones , again caused the return of the human thought to visual communication, its principles and its language. We talk more and more often about the necessity of education of "being and doing" in the visual space, and in the next phase - of building the language of such communication. A contemporary view on education, taking into account the importance of digital media, results in integrating the technological, visual and communication skills into training programs of traditional school areas and projects broadening school library activities.
