    Opis:
    Wraz z zmniejszaniem funkcji rolniczych na wsie tracą dotychczasowe podstawy egzystencji, a razem z tym opowieści i podstawy tożsamości. W świecie płynnych tożsamości zależnych od globalnych trendów można poddać się biegowi wypadków i ulegać wzorom płynącym z zewnątrz, można też spróbować tworzenia nowych opowieści i budowania nowych tożsamości na podstawie przyjętej nowej specjalizacji wsi. Nie jest to proces łatwy, daje jednak szansę podmiotowości, możliwość oddziaływania na bieg wydarzeń. Dzięki nowej specjalizacji wieś może szybciej odnaleźć swoje miejsce w gospodarce wiedzy, doznań i twórczości. Zjawisko to daje się zauważyć, w małej na razie skali, także w pierwszych polskich wioskach tematycznych. Wśród liderów tych wsi rośnie świadomość potrzeby dbałości o tradycyjną architekturę i przestrzeń wsi.
    Minor role played by agricultural sector in Polish economy, accompanied by integration of grounds, as well as gradual conversion of traditional farms into agricultural enterprisers affect alterations of rural space and function of villages.. These changes are additionally intensified according to the advancement in different forms of residential and industrial building in villages. Therefore, facing all these phenomena, there should be formed the question about the management of rural space and making its values sustainable.Which way should rural space be arranged to stimulate its competitiveness in creating new values rather than to limit its range of potential functions and possibilities? The management of rural space is a multi – aspect undertaking. It involves activities resulting from administrative, economical, emotional, esthetic, rational, ethical, political, cultural and social premises. As far as realization of paradigm of villages revitalization is taken into account, interventions into each of the mentioned fields can be considered basing on continuum: positive – neutral – negative. Increasingly recognizable mistakes in arranging rural space in Poland point to the fact that each of the enumerated levels requires to be improved and thought over again in the view of an urgent need of the transition from modernization paradigm to the one regarding revitalization of villages. Thus, there should be put a question: which of the intervention levels can be the most helpful in this transition, where are located the potential of alterations and what can become its instrument? On the basis of theories involving the changes in their organization and personnel aspects as well as the author`s experience connected wit planning and introducing into practice projects dealing with revitalization of villages, it can be assumed that arguments and insufficient use of potential initiating the changes lies in the management of emotions. Due to awakening these emotions it is possible to become more open to making use of knowledge , to dare to transvalue models of thinking, to broaden imagination, to welcome cooperation and strengthen one`s personality, to awake enthusiasm.. In the course of this process the most courageous dreams are born, emerge new ideas regarding better use of already owned resources, there are found out values of rural life heritage , esthetic impressions are developed, people are able to believe in their own possibilities, they begin to appreciate their values and protect them. Additional aspect of managing emotions is connected with their growing economical meaning. This can be confirmed by increasingly common so – called experience economy in which emotions prevail over functions. Awakening emotions, especially those positive, is important in the situations of crisis, in the conditions of deficit occurring at places usually described by the words: “there is nothing here”. Applying metaphorical expression, the whole undertaking can be viewed as positive bewitching. Such an “enchanted” village starts living a new life and it has got the chance to protect itself against devastation. Its inhabitants, when they abandon mourning, are able to discover the ways to develop their talents. In this context there were shown the methods of emotions management, applied in building specialization of villages and farmholds, as well as the methods of training specialists for this kind of work.

    Opis:
    At Lower Silesia many small towns and villages which formerly had civic laws are to be found, but in the course of time they lost them. The considered settlements date back mostly to 13th century, they often went through severe trials, e.g. wars, fires, or floods. They obtained the civic laws as a result of a number of factors, then often they lost them, or sometimes recovered them again. The main elements of small towns are the market square and streets coming out of it. The frontages of the market square mostly have a compact building, often, even in small towns a town hall is to be found in the centre of a market square. The settlements in the piedmont terrains are especially picturesque, the market square forms there an interesting landscape interior. In the conclusion there is pointed out that systems of small towns and villages having urban traditions require a suitable space planning and a conservator's protection.
