    Opis:
    Smart City is nowadays the most modern and advanced form of a city’s development. It is based on ICT exploitation in six key areas, i.e.: economy, transport and communication, city governance, environment governance, people’s living space and quality of living. Development of innovative technologies, including video intelligence, creates wide opportunities to convert individual cities and agglomerations into intelligent, safe and sustainable places of living from the social, economic and environmental perspective. The issue of video intelligence systems will be the subject matter of the paper. It will also present the possibilities of complex implementation of the systems into the key areas of smart cities.

    Opis:
    As security is one of the basic human needs, we need security systems that can prevent crimes from happen‐ ing. In general, surveillance videos are used to observe the environment and human behavior in a given location. However, surveillance videos can only be used to record images or videos, without additional information. There‐ fore, more advanced cameras are needed to obtain other additional information such as the position and move‐ ment of people. This research extracted this information from surveillance video footage using a person tracking, detection, and identification algorithm. The framework for these is based on deep learning algorithms, a popu‐ lar branch of artificial intelligence. In the field of video surveillance, person tracking is considered a challenging task. Many computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning techniques have been developed in recent years. The majority of these techniques are based on frontal view images or video sequences. In this work, we will compare some previous work related to the same topic.

    W filmach oraz grach cyfrowych dotychczas przeważały dwa stanowiska wobec rozwoju sztucznej inteligencji, portretujące ją jako zagrożenie tudzież obronę przed tym zagrożeniem. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie – na przykładzie gry Event[0] – narodzin nowego paradygmatu w kulturze popularnej, w którym sztuczna inteligencja staje się równorzędnym partnerem wymagającym szacunku ze strony człowieka. Posługując się metodą autoetnografii analitycznej, autor docieka możliwości pogodzenia w kontekście tej gry Heglowskiego, antropocentrycznego humanizmu z prądem posthumanistycznym. Rezultaty badań pozwalają dowieść zarówno postępu technologicznego sztucznej inteligencji w grach cyfrowych, jak i wyłaniania się nowego spojrzenia na relację człowiek-maszyna, pozbawionego protekcjonalności poprzednich dzieł kultury popularnej.
    In films and digital games, two attitudes towards the development of artificial intelligence have prevailed so far, portraying it as a threat or a defense against this threat. The aim of the article is to show – on the example of the Event[0] digital game – the birth of a new paradigm in popular culture, in which artificial intelligence becomes an equal partner requiring human respect. Using the method of analytical autoethnography, the author explores the possibility of reconciling, in the context of the game, Hegel’s anthropocentric humanism with the post-humanist current. The results of the research prove both the technological progress of artificial intelligence in digital games and the emergence of a new perspective on the man-machine relationship, deprived of the patronage of previous popular culture works.

    Monitoringi wizyjne są obecnie jednymi z najszerzej wykorzystywanych środkow mających wpływać na bezpieczeństwo i porządek publiczny. Warunkiem pełnego wykorzystania możliwości monitoringu wizyjnego jest przestrzeganie norm technicznych na etapie budowy i eksploatacji systemu. Obecnie aspekty techniczne reguluje norma PN-EN 62676-1-1:2014-06 Systemy dozorowe CCTV stosowane w zabezpieczeniach – Część 1-1:Wymagania systemowe – Postanowienia ogolne. Dynamiczny rozwoj technologii informatycznych, w tym opartych na sztucznej inteligencji daje coraz większe możliwości. Systemy wykorzystujące zaawansowane oprogramowanie pozwalają na automatyczne sygnalizowanie zagrożeń. Daje to możliwość ograniczenia personelu oraz zwiększenie skuteczności monitoringow wizyjnych. Przykładem systemu opartego na tego typu oprogramowaniu jest Katowicki Inteligentny System Monitoringu i Analiz.
    CCTV system is currently one of the most commonly used means of influencing the safety and public order. A necessary condition for taking full advantage of the system is following technical standards in the process of creating and using CCTV. The current standard for technical standards is PN-EN 62676-1-1: 2014-06 CCTV Surveillance systems used in security. Part 1-1: system requirements – General provisions. The dynamic development of information technologies, including those based on artificial Intelligence, offers a wide range of possibilities. Systems based on advanced software allow automatic notification of threats. This in turn enables limiting the number of employees as well as increasing the efficiency of CCTV. An example of a system based on such software is the Intelligent System of Monitoring and Analysis in Katowice.
