    Opis:
    The article presented analyses situations and propositions of chosen actions. Their effects will be decreases of chances in which collisions and accidents will occur. Proposed equipment of vehicles, which are currently being exploited, are additional mirrors for lowering the area of so called "blind spots". The necessity of installing additional reverse lights, in the area of rearview mirror, in busses as well as in trucks has been discussed and assessed. Another issue is the necessity to introduce appropriate regulations about back rear bumpers. It will obligate producers and users of vehicles to install them (especially in self-unloading vehicles). Doing so will also reduce the weightiness of accidents with participation of other cars. Analyzed and discussed propositions in the article are actions directed towards reducing number of collisions and accidents in developing road transport. Aspiration after achieving safety for traffic participants should be most important while executing road transport needs. It is essential to allow the driver to observe hitherto unseen areas while backing up by installing additional devices of indirect visibility, such as camera at the back of the vehicle or display in the cabin. Without radical decisions it is impossible to limit accidents (especially fatal), which are originating in traffic. Retrofitting means of road transport, we reduce their susceptibility to accidents and collisions.

    Concept of Operations is the first tool being used in capabilities approach to define military needs being very important task in the beginning of the Life Cycle Management process. The inputs to this process are defined based on the scenarios resulting from the Lessons Learned experience. It creates the technology needs for the new military systems and simultaneously the links between militaries, scientists, designers and producers. The success of missions at the very dynamic contemporary battlefield will heavily dependent on functionality engineering forces taking part in them after all at the very low level of command. The main task of engineering forces that are realized within the convoy protection mission aims at greater soldiers’ safety. The efficiency of convoy protection demands a systemic approach and the need to build the system of remote controlled Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV). The design of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), after all their initiating systems, makes Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) missions practically impossible to be realized by humans. The concept of systemic approach to use the remote controlled Unmanned Ground Vehicles for convoys’ protection based on Lessons Learned experiences is presented in this paper.

    Improvised explosive devices (IED) create a main threat for personnel and equipment at coalition operations of ISAF forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The development of new generation of armoured vehicles of M-ATV class has started on the base of experience from those missions and is presented in the paper.

    Aim: The aim of the article is to discuss, using literature on the subject, the results of scientific research and fire tests devoted to lithium-ion batteries and electric-powered vehicles, as well as various methods and techniques for extinguishing them. The presentation of these issues is important in terms of identifying the hazards present in construction objects where electric vehicles are parked and charged, as well as conducting effective and safe rescue operations during incidents involving them. Introduction: The development of electromobility, including the growing number of electric vehicles, poses new challenges for fire protection, both in the context of conducting rescue operations and the safety of parking and charging these vehicles at construction objects. Fires on lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles follow a different pattern than fires on conventional energy sources. This includes the causes of their origin, the course and methods of extinguishing them, as well as the dangers to those in their zone, including from the toxic products of combustion that are emitted. Consideration of the occurrence of these risks is particularly important in underground infrastructure, where firefighting is more difficult and the ability to eliminate the toxic products is limited. The article discusses the results of scientific research and fire tests involving lithium-ion batteries and electric vehicles, taking into account different methods and techniques for extinguishing them, conducted in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea, the United States of America and Poland, among others. Methodology: The authors prepared the article based on a review and analysis of the results of scientific and experimental research, as well as on the literature. Conclusions: The growing number of electric vehicles increases the likelihood of accidents and fires involving them. This poses a challenge for rescue operations involving the vehicles mentioned above. An analysis of the literature on the subject leads to the conclusion that the catalogue of risks during rescue operations involving electric vehicles is different from that of conventionally powered vehicles. These risks require research, analysis, evaluation and validation.
    Cel: Celem artykułu jest omówienie – z wykorzystaniem literatury przedmiotu – wyników badań naukowych i testów pożarowych poświęconych bateriom litowo-jonowym oraz pojazdom z napędem elektrycznym, a także różnym metodom i technikom ich gaszenia. Przedstawienie tych zagadnień jest istotne z punktu widzenia identyfikacji zagrożeń występujących w obiektach budowlanych, w których parkowane i ładowane są pojazdy elektryczne, a także prowadzenia skutecznych i bezpiecznych działań ratowniczych podczas zdarzeń z ich udziałem. Wprowadzenie: Rozwój elektromobilności, w tym rosnąca liczba pojazdów elektrycznych, stawia przed ochroną przeciwpożarową nowe wyzwania, zarówno w kontekście prowadzenia działań ratowniczych, jak i bezpieczeństwa parkowania i ładowania tych pojazdów w obiektach budowlanych. Pożary baterii litowo-jonowych stosowanych w pojazdach elektrycznych przebiegają inaczej niż pożary konwencjonalnych źródeł energii. Dotyczy to przyczyn ich powstania, przebiegu i metod gaszenia oraz zagrożeń dla osób przebywających w ich strefie, m.in. ze strony wydzielających się toksycznych produktów spalania. Rozważenie wystąpienia tych zagrożeń jest szczególnie istotne w podziemnej infrastrukturze, gdzie gaszenie pożarów jest trudniejsze, a możliwości eliminowania toksycznych produktów spalania są ograniczone. W artykule omówiono wyniki badań naukowych i testów pożarowych z udziałem baterii litowo-jonowych oraz pojazdów elektrycznych, uwzględniających różne metody i techniki ich gaszenia, prowadzonych m.in. w Niemczech, Austrii, Szwajcarii, Szwecji, Korei Południowej, Stanach Zjednoczonych Ameryki oraz Polsce. Metodologia: Autorzy opracowali artykuł, opierając się na przeglądzie i analizie wyników badań naukowych, eksperymentalnych, a także na literaturze przedmiotu. Wnioski: Rosnąca liczba pojazdów elektrycznych zwiększa prawdopodobieństwo wystąpienia wypadków i pożarów z ich udziałem. Stanowi to wyzwanie w zakresie działań ratowniczych prowadzonych z udziałem pojazdów, o których mowa powyżej. Analiza literatury przedmiotu prowadzi do wniosku, iż katalog zagrożeń podczas prowadzenia działań ratowniczych z udziałem pojazdów elektrycznych jest inny niż w przypadku pojazdów z napędem konwencjonalnym. Zagrożenia te wymagają badań, analizy, oceny i walidacji. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy dostępnych wyników badań naukowych, danych empirycznych i rzeczywistych zdarzeń można stwierdzić, iż w porównaniu z pożarami pojazdów spalinowych pożary pojazdów elektrycznych mają inną dynamikę rozwoju i mogą w związku z tym stanowić inne, nieznane dotąd strażakom zagrożenia.

    This article will analyze the provisions and documents regarding the protection of personaldata when using an unmanned aerial vehicle, with particular emphasis on the obligation tocreate the so-called Data Protection Impact Assessment in the event that operators performoperations using drones which, due to their nature, scope, context and objectives, are likelyto result in a high risk of violating the rights or freedoms of natural persons.
