Opis:: The article presents the results of investigations concerning the relations between the technical state of cars and the exhaust gasses emission for different groups of vehicles. First, the measurements of the test group of4000 different vehicles have been made. Those measurements have been elaborated in order to define typical damages of vehicles. The percentage of faulty vehicles and the type of faults was estimated. The damages of vehicles have been carried out using typical diagnostic methods, electrical value measurements and exhaust gasses analysis. Those measurements also provided information about the number of vehicles with high level of gas emission. The results of investigations were compared to the requirements of each model of a given year. Next, the measurements of the test group of 1000 vehicles have been made in accordance with ECE Regulations and the methodology of periodical car inspection. Those measurements also gave information about the level of emission from each vehicle. The results of investigations were compared to the requirements of each model of a given year and the percentage of high polluting vehicles has been presented. The vehicles have been divided into different exhaust emission legislation classes. Next, the relation between the number of faulty vehicles and the level of exhaust emission for the first and the second group of vehicles has been elaborated and presented. The results of investigations and analysis show the number of faulty vehicles and its influence on the level of emission.

Opis:: This paper considers the results of studies on examination methods in scope of environmental protection such as exhaust emission, fuel consumption and noise emission. The reduction of exhaust gas emission of modern compression and spark ignition engines requires an optimization ofexisting diagnosing methods as well as the investigation of new approaches. The results of car inspections regarding environmental protection for more than four thousand vehicles have been compared to the requirements of ECE regulations and those of particular car producers. Eight hundred cars with a fault of gas emission and fuel consumption were examined in order to define typical damages. The possibilities of diagnosing the damages of mechanical and electrical systems of the engine have been carried out using electrical value measurements and exhaust gases analysis. The test results show that there is a necessity of elaborating new diagnosing methods enabling to find damages regarding exhaust emission and fuel consumption at their initial stage. One of the possible methods which could be applied is the evaluation of the quality of combustion process considering the values of parameters of engine performance coming from the detectors mounted to the engine. The so far carried out examinations have revealed that some mechanical damages of engines such as operating wear or unexpected faults do not make the diagnosing system react to the information.

The article presents changes of the system of Periodic Technical Inspection in Poland. Supervision will be conducted by central organization instead of the county offices and system will be based on a large number of the re inspections. Supervision will be equipped in the perfect tool to provide statistic analysis called CEPIK2.0. The designed system is coherent and enforces high quality of inspections.

Opis:: Oświetlenie wnętrz przyjmowane jest w sposób naturalny. Odpowiednio dobrane natężenie lub luminancja źródeł światła znacząco wpływa na samopoczucie, ale także na zdolności manualne człowieka. Niezwykle istotne jest zatem odpowiednie dobranie rodzaju źródła światła, rozmieszczenie opraw, itp. W artykule zaprezentowano metody projektowania oświetlenia elektrycznego wykorzystując współczesne rozwiązania techniki komputerowej. Omówiono kolejne etapy projektu Stacji Kontroli Pojazdów. W projekcie Uwzględniono oświetlenie ogólne i awaryjne. Wykorzystano w tym celu specjalistyczne narzędzia służące do projektowania oświetlenia (DIALux, Relux). W pracy przedstawiono ponadto możliwości wykorzystania ww. programów w procesie dydaktycznym studentów kierunków technicznych oraz kształceniu projektantów instalacji oświetleniowych. Projekty uwzględniają aktualnie obowiązujące normy i przepisy.
Interior lighting is accepted in a natural way. Properly selected intensity or brightness of light sources significant effect on well-being but also on the manual skills of man. Therefore, the choice of the appropriate type of light source, distribution of luminaires and etc. is very important. The paper presents a method for design an electric lighting solutions using modern computer technology. The consecutive project stages Vehicle Inspection Station was discussed. In the project general and emergency lighting were taken into account. For this purpose specialized tools for lighting design (DIALux, Relux) were used. The paper also presents the possibility of the aforementioned programs in the didactic process for the students of technical fields of study and for lighting installation designers. Projects include the currently applicable standards and regulations.

Opis:: This article presents the results of investigations regarding the use of on-board diagnostic systems to assess the technical state of automotive vehicles, and the possibilities of early fault detecting. The examinations were carried out in order to establishifit is possible to evaluate the level of compatibility between diagnostic test units and on-board diagnostic systems in over three hundred models of vehicles which were produced by different manufactures. The investigations concerning the influence of examination conditions, the type of faults and the vehicle age upon the results and reliability of diagnostic tests were carried out. The suitability of fault codes which were recorded in the memory of diagnostic system while the vehicle was operating have been determined as far as the recognition of the type of faults is concerned. Additionally, the examinations of engine on a test stand were carried out as well. Sensitivity of diagnostic systems was tested regarding the changes of work parameters of the engine. The faults of engine were deliberately provoked and were examined at the early stage by on-board diagnostic systems. The test results show that there is a necessity of elaborating new diagnosing methods enabling to find damages regarding safety in road traffic.

Opis:: The subject of the article is problems of quality assurance modelling at the Vehicle Inspection Stations (SKP). The article presents unconventional tests of the braking performance of a car at a diagnostic station. Based on the conducted tests, the effect of the car's weight on braking efficiency was determined. An analysis of the comparison of the measured braking rate and the actual braking rate for a different load on the vehicle used for the tests was made.

At the same time they get acquainted with the specifics of the diagnostician profession eligible for technical tests.

W artykule przedstawiono, w jaki sposób powinna zostać prawidłowo przeprowadzona modernizacja certyfikowanego wyposażenia kontrolno-pomiarowego, użytkowanego w stacji kontroli pojazdów oraz jakie czynności dodatkowe i w jakich przypadkach należy podjąć, aby utrzymać lub uzyskać nową certyfikację.
The article discusses the consequences of carrying out modernization or making design changes in the diagnostic instruments and equipment used by a vehicle inspection station in relation to the legal requirement which is to have a certificate of compliance for the instruments and equipment set out in the regulations. Modernization involves changing the properties which may mean that the modified product does not meet the requirements of the relevant legislation. Changing the characteristics of the product makes it different from the one whose inspection was the basis for certification and, consequently, the product ceases to be a certified device. The article shows how properly should be conducted upgrading of the certified control and measurement equipment, used at vehicle inspection station and what additional steps and in what cases should be taken to maintain or obtain a new certification.

Dokonano analizy publikacji z lat ubiegłych dotyczących legislacji związanej z prowadzeniem badań technicznych i diagnostyką pojazdów przystosowanych. Pokazano możliwości związane z rozwojem motoryzacji i technologii produkcyjnych urządzeń wspomagających osoby z niepełnosprawnością. Natomiast w podsumowaniu zaproponowano rekomendacje do zmian, również prawnych.
The article presents the problem of the legal scope and the manner of executing the technical examination of a vehicle at the inspection station following the adaptation changes carried out for the driver or passenger with disability. The evaluation of technical inspections of the vehicles adapted for use by persons with disabilities was presented, based on the surveys carried out by ITS in several vehicle inspection stations. Also an analysis has been conducted of the legal regulations governing structural changes in a vehicle following its adaptation. The problem of restrictions code has been presented as well as their impact on the instrumentation used in the vehicle. An analysis of publications from previous years regarding legislation related to conducting technical tests and diagnostics of the adapted vehicles has been made. The article shows opportunities associated with the development of automotive technology and production of the equipment supporting people with disabilities. In the summary there are proposed recommendations for the changes, also in the law.

Opis:: The article presents the concept of a maintenance-free inspection station intended for conducting drive-thru tests of commercial vehicles. The main purpose of building this type of diagnostic line is to carry out non-invasive, preliminary tests of heavy-duty vehicles entering the vehicle service area in terms of parameters affecting the safety of their operation in relation to the applicable standards. The main parameter to be assessed will be the concentration of toxic exhaust components, measured using remote sensing methods. In addition, the proposed diagnostic line can be supplemented with additional remote measurement systems, such as, for example, systems for assessing the condition of vehicle lighting, loads on individual axles and individual wheels of the vehicle, tire pressure, thermal load of the brake system, as well as a system for detecting leaks of fluids from the vehicle. Based on the carried out work, it has been shown that using the current specialist knowledge and the components of measurement systems available on the market, it is possible to develop an innovative diagnostic line using remote measurement methods.

Opis:: W artykule omówiony został problem pomiaru emisji zanieczyszczeń gazowych pojazdów wyposażonych w silniki o zapłonie samoczynnym na stacjach kontroli pojazdów. Wymagania homologacyjne w zakresie emisji, jakim muszą sprostać nowe pojazdy zostały postawione na niezwykle wysokim poziomie. Metodyka i aparatura pomiarowa na stacjach kontroli pojazdów nie zmieniła się od przeszło dwudziestu lat i obecnie, w dużej mierze, nie jest w stanie sprostać wyzwaniom jakie się jej stawia. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań i wnioski dotyczące sformułowania nowych kryteriów oceny emisji, które wyeliminowałyby z ruchu drogowego pojazdy z usuniętym bądź niesprawnym filtrem cząstek stałych.
Paper discussed the problem of the measurement of gaseous pollutant emissions of vehicles equipped with compression ignition engines for inspection centers. Approval requirements are set on a very high level. Methodology and measuring devices for vehicle inspection stations has not been changed for over twenty years and now is not able to meet the challenges. The article presents the results of research and proposals for the new criteria for evaluation of emissions to eliminate from traffic vehicles with removed or defective diesel particulate filter.
