    The article presents the results of investigations of the influence of vehicle age on traffic exhaust emission. The measurements of the test group of 500 different vehicles have been made in accordance with ECE Regulations and the methodology of periodical car inspection. Those measurements provided Information about the level of emission from each vehicle and allowed to identify high polluting vehicles. The percentage of faulty vehicles and the type of faults were estimated. Next, the percentage of high polluting vehicles has been estimated. The results of investigations were compared to the requirements of each model of a given year. The percentage of high polluting vehicles for each model of a given year has been presented. The vehicles have been divided into different exhaust emission legislation classes. The percentage of high polluting vehicles for each exhaust emission legislation class has been elaborated. Next, the relation between exhaust emission and the vehicle age has been made and presented. The pro bability ofexceeding the standardized exhaust emission for each model of a given year of vehicles has been calculated. The calculations included the exhaust emission such as carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons. The likelihood of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons emission violations have been estimated applying logit analysis. The calculations have been made in two cases, for manufactures and national emission standards. The results of investigations and analysis show that vehicle age plays a significant role in determining exhaust emission test results.

    Since joining the EU, Poland is breaking records in the import of second-hand cars. Most often imported to Poland cars come from Germany and there is a little evidence to change this trend (even announced an increase in imports from the United Kingdom). The statistics also dominated by German car manufacturers. The top five most imported brands in order, Volkswagen, Opel, Renault, Audi, Ford. Record was in 2008, when the Poles brought more than 1.1 million cars. Among the imported cars are more and more heavily worn vehicles in poor technical condition - do not meet modern safety and environmental standards.

    Opis:
    Very intensive increase the number of registered passenger cars in Poland , as well as their age structure , in which a significant share of the vehicles are old and worn, contributing to the annual increase in the number of end of life vehicles. The problem of recycling of cars in Poland is a hot issue for economic, environmental and security. The average life cycle of a passenger car in the country ranges from 12 to 15 years. Cars that have reached this limit , they are very desirable raw material for the industry widely associated with the activities aimed at the recovery and recycling. Number of cars on Polish roads from year to year increases, but the rate of growth observed over the past decade is unique. The data in the article suggest that in the near future a large group of cars will be withdrawn from use and suitable for recycling. The purpose of this article is to determine the likely number of cars taken out of service and dismantled subjects.

    In the process of calculation of the insurance premium in civil liability motor insurance the knowledge of distribution of the number and value of paid claims is required. The paper presents the methods of assessing the degree of the fit of theoretical distributions of the number of claims to empirical distributions in civil liability motor insurance in the example of data from one of the insurance companies in Poland. The distributions of the number of claims in separate age groups of drivers were also analyzed and their compatibility to the theoretical distribution of the number of claims in the portfolio was assessed.

    The presented results of research on the availability of means of transport both in terms of pieces per farm and the total payload (the sum of tons per farm) shows a decreasing trend with the growing age of the farmer. The number of farms which have loading and unloading devices with the growing age of the farmer show a clear increasing trend. In the group of tractors, with an annual average use of the production capacity of 5.27% with the growing age of the farmer, there is clear decrease in use. The use of the production capacity of trailers (the basic means of transport) shows a decrease with the growing age of the farmer. The aforementioned facts may suggest that the youngest farmers attach must more importance to the improvement in the use - the organization of the operation of technical means of production. An analysis of the use of the production capacity of tractors in the context of their power (usable groups) shows an increase in the use with an increase in the tractor power. Also, the indices of the use of the production capacity for trailers show advantageous values together with an increase in the payload capacity of trailers.
    Przedstawiono wyniki badań wyposażenia w środki transportowe, zarówno w sztukach na gospodarstwo jak i ładowności całkowitej (suma ton na gospodarstwo) wykazuje tendencję zniżkową w miarę wzrostu wieku rolnika. Ilość gospodarstw posiadających urządzenia za- i wyładunkowe w miarę wzrostu wieku rolnika wykazuje wyraźną tendencję zwyżkową. W grupie ciągników, przy średnim rocznym wykorzystaniu zdolności produkcyjnych o 5,27% w miarę wzrostu wieku rolnika następuje wyraźny spadek wykorzystania. Wykorzystanie zdolności produkcyjnych przyczep (podstawowego środka transportu) w miarę wzrostu wieku rolnika wykazuje zmniejszenie. Powyższe fakty mogą sugerować, iż rolnicy najmłodsi przywiązują znacznie wyższą wagę do poprawy wykorzystania - organizacji pracy technicznych środków produkcji. Analiza wykorzystania zdolności produkcyjnych ciągników w kontekście ich mocy (grup użytkowych), wykazuje wzrost wykorzystania w miarę wzrostu mocy ciągnika. Również wskaźniki wykorzystania zdolności produkcyjnych dla przyczep wykazują korzystne wartości w miarę wzrostu ładowności przyczep.
