In this paper we investigate the lower Lipschitz continuity of minimal points of an arbitrary set A depending upon a parameter u . Our results are formulated with the help of the modulus of minimality. The crucial requirement which allows us to derive sufficient conditions for lower Lipschitz continuity of minimal points is that the modulus of minimality is at least linear. The obtained results can be directly applied to stability analysis of vector optimization problems.

We consider a multicriteria lexicographic Boolean problem of minimizing absolute deviations of linear functions from zero. We investigate the stability radius which can be understood as a limit level of independent perturbations of the parameters, for which new lexicographic optima do not appear. Lower and upper accessible bounds of the stability radius are obtained.

Vector minimization of a relation F valued in an ordered vector space under a constraint A consists in finding x[0] belongs to A, w[0] belongs to Fx[0] such that w[0] is minimal in FA. To a family of vector minimization problems minimize[x belongs to X] F(x, y), y [belongs to] Y, one associates a Lagrange relation [L(x, [xi], y[0]) = union of sets y belongs to Y(F(x, y)-xi(y)+(y[0]))] where [xi] belongs to an arbitrary class [Xi] of mappings. For this type of problem, there exist several notions of solutions. Some useful characterizations of existential solutions are established and, consequently, some necessary conditions of optimality are derived. One result of intermediate duality is proved with the aid of the scalarization theory. Existence theorems for existential solutions are given and a comparison of several exact duality schemes is established, more precisely in the convex case it is shown that the majority of exact duality schemes can be obtained from one result of S. Dolecki and C. Malivert.

In this paper, we introduce new classes of nonsmooth second-order cone-convex functions and respective generalizations in terms of first and second-order directional derivative. These classes encapsulate several already existing classes of cone-convex functions and their weaker variants. Second-order KKT type sufficient optimality conditions and duality results for a nonsmooth vector optimization problem are proved using these functions. The results have been supported by examples.

In this paper the vector optimization problem P with continuous and convex objective functions on a compact convex feasible set is considered. We form a new vector optimisation problem P* from P by adding an objective function to the problem P. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the sets of efficient solutions of these two problems to be equal are given. In the case where the set of efficient solutions of the problem P* contains that of P, we also suggest how the difference between the sets of efficient solutions of the problems P* and P might be evaluated. Examples are given to illustrate our results.
W artykule rozważa się zadanie optymalizacji wektorowej P z ciągłymi i wypukłymi funkcjami celu na zwartym wypukłym zbiorze rozwiazań dopuszczalnych. Tworzymy nowe zadanie optymalizacji wektorowej P* poprzez dodanie funkcji celu do zadania P. Podano warunki konieczne i wystarczające do tego, by zbiory rozwiązań sprawnych obu zadań były równe. Dla przypadku, gdy zbiór rozwiązan sprawnych zadania P* zawiera odpowiedni zbiór dla P, zaproponowano także sposób oceny różnicy między tymi zbiorami rozwiązań sprawnych. Wyniki podane w artykule zostały zilustrowane przykładami.

In this paper we introduce a generalized second-order Riemann-type derivative for C^1'1 vector functions and use it to establish necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for vector optimization problems. We show that, these conditions are stronger than those obtained by means of the second-order subdinerential in Clarke sense considered in Guerraggio, Luc (2001) and also to some extent than those obtained in Guerraggio, Luc, Minh (2001).

The estimation of priority vectors from pairwise comparison matrices is a core of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Perhaps the most popular approach for deriving the priority weights is the right eigenvalue method (EM). Despite its popularity, various shortcomings of the EM have been described in literature. In this paper a new method for deriving priority vectors is proposed. This method makes use of the idea underlying the EM but in difference to the latter, the new one is optimization based. Important features of this new technique are studied via computer simulations and illustrated by some numerical examples.

Opis:
Product prediction and process parameter optimization in the production process of activated carbon are very important for production. It can stabilize product quality and improve the economic efficiency of enterprises. In this paper, three process parameters of a carbonization furnace, namely feeding rate, rotation speed, and carbonization temperature, were adopted to build a quality optimization model for carbonized materials. First, an orthogonal test was designed to obtain the preliminary relationship between the process parameters and the quality indicators of a carbonized material and prepare data for modeling. Then, an improved SVR model was developed to establish the relationship between product quality indicators and process parameters. Finally, through the singlefactor experiments and the Monte Carlo method, the process parameters affecting the quality of a carbonized material were determined and optimized. This showed that a high-quality carbonized material could be obtained with a smaller feeding rate, larger rotation speed, and higher carbonization furnace temperature. The quality of activated carbon reached its maximum when the feeding rate was 1.0 t/h, the rotation speed was 90 r/h, and the temperature was 836°C. It can effectively improve the quality of carbonized materials.

Human stem and progenitor cells have recently become objects of intensive studies as an important target for gene therapy and regenerative medicine. Retroviral vectors are among the most effective tools for genetic modification of these cells. However, their transduction efficiency strongly depends on the choice of the ex vivo transduction system. The aim of this study was to elaborate a system for retroviral vector transduction of human CD34 positive cells isolated from cord blood. The retroviral vector pMINV EGFP was chosen for transduction of two human erythroblastoid cell lines: KG-1a (CD34 positive) and K562 (CD34 negative). For vector construction, three promoters and two retroviral vector packaging cell lines were used. To optimize the physicochemical conditions of the transduction process, different temperatures of supernatant harvesting, the influence of centrifugation and the presence of transduction enhancing agents were tested. The conditions elaborated with KG-1a cells were further applied for transduction of CD34 positive cells isolated from cord blood. The optimal efficiency of transduction of CD34 positive cells with pMINV EGFP retroviral vector (26% of EGFP positive cells), was obtained using infective vector with LTR retroviral promoter, produced by TE FLY GA MINV EGFP packaging cell line. The transduction was performed in the presence of serum, at 37°C, with co-centrifugation of cells with viral supernatants and the use of transduction enhancing agents. This study confirmed that for gene transfer into CD34 positive cells, the detailed optimization of each element of the transduction process is of great importance.
