    The paper is concerned on a new adequate theory of a simple mathematical pendulum. Part 1 of the paper was devoted to the behaviour of pendulum in particular points, that is central and terminal/extremum ones. This Part 2 of the theory begins with the analysis of path length of the pendulum weight. Then the kinetics of the pendulum weight is analyzed by separating and the descriptions of differentiated motion of this body in the consecutive neighbouring space-times corresponding with particular quarter-periods. It is about accelerated free variable motion and the following after it a retarded motion of this kind, and then again accelerated, etc. In the summary, further elaborations in the subject are forecasted, regarding both dynamics and energy of the flat mathematical pendulum. It is indicated that the necessity to “rethink” many existent theories is of importance.

    In the paper, a new adequate theory of a simple mathematical pendulum is presented. This paper consists of two parts. In Part 1, the behaviour of pendulum in particular points, that is in central and terminal/extremum ones have been analyzed very carefully in detail. System of forces in these points was considered with a special attention turned towards the terminal points where the equilibrium of forces occurs and in the next moment the lack of that equilibrium takes place with the proof of the open polygon of forces as the condition of beginning of accelerated free variable motion. Part 2 of the paper is to be devoted to the kinetics of the pendulum weight presented by separating in it the descriptions of differentiated motion of this body in the consecutive neighbouring space-times corresponding with particular quarter-periods. In the conclusion, further elaborations in the subject are forecasted, regarding both dynamics and energy of the flat mathematical pendulum.

    Opis:
    The article contains the example of practical application of the procedure for non-stationary signals processing developed at Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics University of Science and Technology (AGH). The developed method - Procedure of Linear Decimation (PLD) was applied for signal analysis of vibrations of GTD-350 turbine engine in unstable operating conditions. As a reference signal the rotational speed of driving shaft was adapted. The results were enclosed for turbine running-up and coasting state.
    W artykule przedstawiono przykład praktycznego zastosowania opracowanej w Katedrze Mechaniki i Wibroakustyki Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej procedury przetwarzania sygnałów niestacjonarnych. Opracowaną metodę - Procedurę Liniowej Decymacji (PLD) zastosowano do analizy sygnałów drgań silnika turbinowego GTD-350 w nieustalonych stanach pracy. Jako sygnał referencyjny przyjęto prędkość obrotową wału napędowego. Wyniki przedstawiono dla stanu rozbiegu i wybiegu turbiny.

    In this paper, the three species syn-ecosystem is comprised of a commensal (S1), two hosts S2 and S3, i.e. S2 and S3 both benefit S1 without getting themselves affected either positively or adversely. Further, S2 is a commensal of S3, S3 is a host of both S1, S2 and all the three species have unlimited resources. The basic equations for this model constitute as three first order non-linear coupled ordinary difference equations. All possible equilibrium states are identified based on the model equations at two stages and criteria for their stability are discussed. Further, the numerical solutions are computed for specific values of the various parameters and the initial conditions.

    This paper deals with the problem of defining the concept of the political stability of a state. Its aim is to answer the following question: What does the statement that ‘a given state is politically stable’ mean? The paper is composed of four parts. In the first one the meanings of the words: ‘stable,’ ‘stability’ and ‘stabilisation’ are explained. In the second part, the meaning of the term ‘political stability’ in political science literature is analysed. In the third part of the paper, quantitative attempts at formulating the sense of the concept of political stability are discussed. In conclusion, an attempt to arrive at a definition of the concept is made via a synthesis of the elements most frequently used in academic literature devoted to explaining the essence of political stability; the possible correlation between the existence of political stability and the principal types of political regime (democracy and authoritarianism) is evaluated; and the major conceptual approaches in understanding the term under consideration are identified.
    Streszczenie: Artykuł traktuje o problemie definiowania pojęcia „stabilność polityczna” państwa. Głównym jego celem jest odpowiedź na pytanie, co znaczy stwierdzenie, że dane państwo jest stabilne politycznie. Artykuł składa się z czterech części. W pierwszej wyjaśniany jest leksykalny sens słów: „stabilny”, „stabilność” i „stabilizacja”. W drugiej części analizowane jest rozumienie znaczenia terminu „stabilność polityczna” w piśmiennictwie politologicznym. Trzecia część artykułu poświęcona jest omówieniu kwantytatywnych prób ujmowania sensu pojęcia stabilności politycznej. W zakończeniu podjęta została próba zdefiniowania przedmiotowego terminu polegająca na syntezie elementów najczęściej spotykanych w propozycjach wyjaśniania istoty stabilności politycznej; oceniono związek między istnieniem stabilności politycznej a podstawowymi typami reżimu politycznego: demokracją i autorytaryzmem; oraz zidentyfikowano główne podejścia konceptualne w pojmowaniu przedmiotowego terminu.
