    Opis:
    In this paper, a comparative dynamic analysis of the portal cranes of type H and X is described. The difference of the considered cranes arises from the difference of their portals. These two types of portals have the same main geometric measurements. They differ only at the medium level in the horizontal plane. The first type of the portal on the middle level has an H-frame, while the second type has an X-frame. In this paper, dynamic parameters of the two portals have been compared. Estimation has been done to find which of the two types of portals has more favourable dynamic stability for overturn.

    Opis:
    The paper deals with the Modernist housing design in Barcelona during ‘50s and ‘60s. In this period, the architecture culturally committed was struggling against Francoist censorship and the wild real estate development. The urban landscape is characterized by the housing design that can be considered a critical interface between the houses ground plan layout and the arrange-ment of the urban tissue at the settlement scale. The evolution of the Modernist housing design in Barcelona is the outcome of a dialectic be-tween long-lasting types as the H-model, a strong will to be modern expressed by architects as a reaction against the cultural lack of Francoism, the avant-garde heritage, namely the GATCPAC (Group of Catalan Architect and Technicians for the Promotion of Contemporary Architecture) and the research aimed to resume the traditional Barcelonese way of built-in which lays the city identity. By this point of view, we can argue that the concept of resilience in spite of its use as buzz word in the last 15 years is rooted in the history of the city: Barcelona it’s an example due to the “resistance” carried on by the modernist architects that was the background for the Renaissance of the city since the Olimpic Games onward.

    The real data of cumulative citations ln of selected nth paper of individual N papers published by some highly- and moderately-cited individual authors are analyzed to compare Hirsch and Hirsch-type indices h, h1, hf and hm, and cita-tion radii R and Rf from consideration of: (1) the number An of coauthors of the paper, (2) the normalization of citations ln and cumulative fraction lnf of citation of the nth paper by mean and median citations of the citations ln of all Nc cited papers, and (3) the determination of effective rank neff of the lnf citations. Analysis of the ln(n), lnf(n) and lnf(neff) data was also carried out by using a Langmuir-type function l = l0[1−Kn/(1+Kn)], where l denotes the citations ln and lnf of all cited Nc papers arranged in the decreasing order, is an effectiveness parameter, K is the so-called Langmuir con-stant, n denotes the rank n or neff of citations and l0 is the value of l when n or neff approaches zero. For a comparison of the publication output of different authors it was found that the hm index is more consistent than other indices, and it can be normalized to account for the publication career of different authors. However, Langmuir-type function is not ade-quate for comparison of the publication output of different authors because it describes the rank-order distribution pat-terns satisfactorily in terms of two parameters. To compare the publication output of different authors independent of their career length t, it is suggested to use scaling parameters h/t, hf/t and hm/t.
    Przeanalizowano dane liczby cytowań kumulacyjnych ln wybranego n-tego artykułu spośródN indywidualnych artyku-łów opublikowanych przez niektórych wysoko i umiarkowanie cytowanych pojedynczych autorów. Do porównania użyto wskaźników Hirscha h i Hirscha-podobnych h1, hf i hm, oraz promienia cytowań R i Rfpod względem: 1) liczby Anwspółautorów artykułów, 2) normalizacji liczby cytowań lni ułamka kumulacyjnego lnf cytowania n-tego artykułu średnimi i środkowymi cytowaniami lnwszystkich cytowań Ncartykułów,3) określenia efektywnego rzędu neffcytowań lnf. Analiza danych ln(n), lnf(n) i lnf(neff) była prowadzona również wedle funkcji typu Langmuira l = l0[1−Kn/(1+Kn)], gdzie: l oznacza ln i lnf cytowania wszystkich cytowanych Ncartykułów umieszczonych w malejącym porządku, pa-rametr efektywności, K to tak zwana stała Langmuira, noznacza rząd n lub neffcytowań oraz l0 to wartość l, gdy n lub neffdąży do zera. Do porównania dorobku publikacyjnego różnych autorów stwierdzono, że wskaźnik hm jest bardziej miarodajny od pozostałych oraz, że można je znormalizować w celu uwzględnienia kariery publikacyjnej różnych auto-rów. Funkcja typu Langmuira nie jest właściwa jednak do porównania dorobku publikacyjnego różnych autorów po-nieważ opisuje ona w sposób zadowalający rozkład kolejności rzędu ich artykułówprzy pomocy dwóch parametrów. Do porównania dorobku publikacyjnego różnych autorów, niezależnego od długości ich kariery t, zaproponowano sto-sowanie parametrów skalowania h/t, hf/t and hm/t.

    Poniższy artykuł opisuje najnowsze osiągnięcia w dziedzinie obróbki cieplnej dysz wtrysku paliwa wykonanych ze stali narzędziowej do pracy na gorąco, wykorzystywanych w silnikach wysokoprężnych. W przeprowadzonym badaniu przetestowano różne techniki udoskonalania warstwy z pomocą nawęglania i azotowania próżniowego, które nadają się zwłaszcza do obróbki elementów o skomplikowanych kształtach, takich jak np. ślepy otwór. Pod rozwagę wzięto różne parametry procesowe dotyczące sekwencji procesu oraz jego temperatury i zbadano ich wpływ na mikrostrukturę, twardość i równomierność warstwy. Rozwinięto kompleksową metodę obróbki, na którą składają się procesy termochemiczne oraz hartowanie w gazie pod wysokim ciśnieniem (HPGQ) i odpuszczanie. Cały proces został przeprowadzony w jednokomorowym piecu próżniowym wyposażonym w system nawęglania (LPC) i azotowania (LPN) niskociśnieniowego oraz hartowania w gazie pod wysokim ciśnieniem.
    The article describes the newest achievements in heat treatment of fuel injection nozzles made of hot work tool steel applied in diesel engines. Different methods of surface properties improvement has been used by means of vacuum carburizing and vacuum nitriding, especially suitable for elements characterized by difficult shape geometry like blind whole. Variables process parameters has been considered in terms of sequence and temperature, and their influence on surface microstructure, hardness and case uniformity. Complex technology was discovered involving thermo-chemical process supplemented by high pressure gas quenching (HPGQ) and tempering. All technological steps was performed in a single chamber vacuum furnaces equipped with LPC, LPN and HPGQ.

    Benzimidazole is one of the most important heterocyclic groups manifesting various biological properties, such as antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiprotozoal and antihelmintic activities. Several benzimidazole derivatives are also active as inhibitors of type I DNA topoisomerases. In this study, three 1H-benzimidazole derivatives with different electronic characteristics at position 5-, namely 5-chloro-4-(1H-benzimidazole-2-yl)phenol (Cpd I), 5-methyl-4-(1H-benzimidazole-2-yl)phenol (Cpd II) and 4-(1H-benzimidazole-2-yl)phenol (Cpd III), were synthesized and evaluated for their effects on mammalian type I DNA topoisomerase activity using quantitative in vitro plasmid supercoil relaxation assays. For the structure elucidation of the compounds, melting points, UV, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectral data and elemental analyses were interpreted. Among the compounds, 5-methyl-4-(1H-benzimidazole-2-yl)phenol (Cpd II) manifested relatively potent topoisomerase I inhibition.

    In [HS] the Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces on spaces of homogeneous type were introduced. In this paper, the Triebel-Lizorkin spaces on spaces of homogeneous type are generalized to the case where $p_0 < p ≤ 1 ≤ q < ∞$, and a new atomic decomposition for these spaces is obtained. As a consequence, we give the Littlewood-Paley characterization of Hardy spaces on spaces of homogeneous type which were introduced by the maximal function characterization in [MS2].
