Opis:
The article presents a closed-form formula for solving a weakly singular surface integral with a linear current source distribution associated with the SIE-MoM formulation used for solving electromagnetic (EM) problems. The analytical formula was obtained by transforming the surface integral over a triangular domain into a double integral, and then directly determining formulas for the inner and outer integrals. The solution obtained is marked by high computational efficiency, high accuracy, and very simple implementation. The derived formula, in contrast to the currently available formulas, consists of quantities that have a clear and simple geometric interpretation, related to the geometry of the computational domain.

Opis:
The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new chaotic oscillator. Although different chaotic systems have been formulated by earlier researchers, only a few chaotic systems exhibit chaotic behaviour. In this work, a new chaotic system with chaotic attractor is introduced for triangular wave non-linearity. It is worth noting that this striking phenomenon rarely occurs in respect of chaotic systems. The system proposed in this paper has been realized with numerical simulation. The results emanating from the numerical simulation indicate the feasibility of the proposed chaotic system. More over, chaos control, stability, diffusion and synchronization of such a system have been dealt with.

The present article gives an overview on the development of the measurement and practical acquisition of circle section dimensions since the late 3rd millennium BC. In key points, the prerequisites and practical implementation for celestial observations over approx. 1500 years up to the 8th century BC are collected and analyzed, in terms of their logical requirements and connected archaeological findings. A comprehensible and unambiguous calculation is made for the celestial dimensions in cubits used from the 8th to the 2nd century BC, for which estimated values between 2.5 and 2.1 angular degrees have been determined since Kugler 1900 until to recently researchers. Therefore, for the first time, the exact transformation value is presented here. Not only the connections and the further development of this celestial measurement system are presented, but also its coherent adaptation up to the first definition and use of the angular unit measurement, which is still used today, around 200 BC. In addition, some data and their previous interpretation from various sources are put up for discussion, which even include the table of Chords, presented by Ptolemy in his Almagest and their use.

Periodic orbits play a fundamental role in the study and deep understanding of the behavior of dynamical systems. In the current work, we investigated the periodic orbits around the triangular libration points of the restricted three-body problem. The equations of motion of the restricted problem are presented when both primaries are prolate triaxial. Periodic orbits around the triangular points are obtained and then illustrated graphically for some selected initial conditions and for the entire domain of the mass ratio µ, as well. The eccentricities of the periodic orbits are obtained and then represented graphically. It is observed that the periodic orbits about the triangular stationary points are elliptical, and the frequencies of short and long orbits of the periodic motion are influenced by the shape of the primary bodies. Furthermore, we found that the perturbing forces influence the period, the orientation, and the eccentricities of the short and long periodic orbits.

The article presents the new 2D asymmetrical PZT (a-PZT) and its effectiveness in the active reduction of triangular plate vibrations. The isosceles right triangular plate with simply supported edges was chosen as the research object. To determine the a-PZT asymmetry and its distribution on the plate, a maximum bending moment criterion for the beam was used. First of all, this criterion points out exact center location of the a-PZT. It was at the point, at which the plate bending moment has reached its maximum value. Next, at this point, it was assumed that the piezoelectric consists of active fibers located radially from the center. Each fiber acted on the plate as a separate actuator. Next, at each direction, the actuator asymmetry was found mathematically by minimizing the amplitude of the vibrations. By connecting the outer edges of individual fibers, the 2D a-PZT was obtained. It was quantitatively confirmed that the effectiveness of the new a-PZT was the best compared with the effectiveness of the standard square and the circular PZTs, adding the same exciting energy to the PZTs.

Opis:
Classical methods of data envelopment analysis operate by measuring the efficiency of decision- -making units (DMUs) compared to similar units, without taking their internal structure into account. However, some DMUs consist of two stages, with the first stage producing an intermediate product, which is then consumed in the second stage to produce the final output. The efficiency of this type of DMU is often measured using two-stage network data envelopment analysis. In real world, most data are vague. Therefore, the inputs and outputs of systems with vagueness data create uncertainty challenges for DMUs. As a result, when uncertainty appears, intuitionistic fuzzy sets can show more information than classical fuzzy sets. This paper presents a model of two-stage Network Data Envelopment Analysis based on intuitionistic fuzzy data, which measures the efficiency of the first and second stages of each DMU, and the overall efficiency measures based on the stage efficiencies.

Opis:
A six-node triangular element is presented in this paper for structural analysis. With this approach, the approximation functions of the interpolation strategy are given by using the double interpolation procedure, which includes nodal values as well as averaged nodal gradients. The numerical results are, therefore, achieved following the proposed element. The efficiency of this element and its comparison is described by some fundamental examples. Better numerical solutions and smoother distributions of stresses not achieved by the standard elements will be provided when using this element. The computational time is also presented to overview the pros and cons of the proposed element. In fact, the new element’s computational time is higher than that based on the standard element because of the double interpolation procedure, but one does not need post-processing of any smoothing operation.

The awareness of making decisions in an imprecise environment has resulted in considering the inventory system under a fuzzy approach. The effects of uncertain demand have been finding increased application in many inventory systems. Uncertainty creates complicated situations for the manufacturer in making decisions. Markets have become more competitive as a result of technological advancements. The effect of inflation on the overall cost of the inventory system is useful in providing a tool for the analysis of inventory decisions. This study intended to estimate the effect of different fuzzy numbers on a manufacturer's annual joint expected total cost. The comparative study of this proposed model has been considered for two different fuzzy numbers with the defuzzification technique as the centroid method. The optimization technique has been used to minimize the producer’s joint expected total cost under the condition mentioned earlier, and the model is validated numerically.

In this paper the laminar unsteady natural convection heat transfer of (Al2O3-water) nanofluid inside 3D triangular cross section cavity was investigated. The cavity was heated differentially, the vertical walls were kept at different constant temperatures. The left hot and the right cold. The effect of the solid volume fraction was examined for two values and compared with the pure water results. The (Ra) range studied was (103≤Ra≤106). Inserting cylindrical body inside the cavity also investigated in three cases. One concentric cylinder has radius (15%) of the cavity side length. The other cases were of two cylinders having radius (7.5%) of the cavity side length, aligned vertically or nonaligned. The results show that the higher solid volume fraction gives the maximum enhancement of the average (Nu) and this enhancement increases with (Ra) increase. For the cases with inner cylinders, the average (Nu) enhanced for the case of double cylinders over single cylinder. On other hand, the nonaligned position of the cylinders giving more enhancement than other position. As like as, the location of maximum horizontal or vertical velocities were varied with the cylinders position while (Ra) has no effect.

У статті розглянуто проблему розвитку щитів як головного елементу середньовічного захисного спорядження та важливого військового і геральдичного символу в українській середньовічній державі Русь та в Європі загалом. Автором окреслено стан дослідження теми та її джерельну базу. Простежено головні тенденції розвитку конструкції та символічного значення щитів у Європі періоду середньовіччя. Водночас, здійснено акцент на джерела, що стосуються Русі та суміжних із нею територій. Автор звертає увагу на необхідність зіставлення археологічних, писемних та іконографічних джерел у межах одного дослідження. У контексті цього дослідження звернено увагу на найбільш репрезентативні джерела, особливо на ті, які можна апробувати щодо руського матеріалу. Наголошено на тому, що щит як базовий елемент захисного спорядження впродовж середньовіччя чималим чином розвивався у руслі загальноєвропейських тенденцій. Це, водночас, унеможливлює виокремлення місцевих особливостей десь до початку ХІІІ ст. Саме на зламі ХІІ–ХІІІ ст. в деяких регіонах Східної Європи, а саме у русько-балтійсько-польському пограниччі формувався відносно новий тип щита, так звана «протопавеза». Це, відтак, мало безпосередній вплив на озброєння Русі і Тевтонського ордену у ХІІІ–XIV ст. У статті проаналізовано головні взаємовпливи і запозичення типів щитів поміж різними регіонами Східної Європи за доби середньовіччя. Наголошується, що на теренах української середньовічної держави Русь, яка перебувала на перетині східних та західних воєнних традицій, могли використовуватись щити як загальноєвропейських типів, так і східний «калкан». Проте, з огляду на наявні джерела, можна з упевненістю констатувати саме загальноєвропейську тенденцію розвитку цього захисного спорядження. Автор дійшов висновку, що щити, які використовувались як на Русі, так і в Європі у Х–ХІІ ст. загалом належали до тих самих типів. Зокрема, це круглий, мигдалеподібний та трикутний щити. Складнішим залишається питання щодо щитів ХІІІ–XV ст. У цей період можна спостерігати як впливи Західної Європи на Русь, наприклад, поширення рицарської тарчі, так і тенденції, які розпочались із теренів Східної Європи, а саме поширення павези у XІV–XV ст.
The article considers the problem of the development of shields, the main element of medieval protective equipment, and an important military and heraldic symbol in Ukrainian medieval state of Rus’ and in Europe in general. The state of the research and the source base are outlined. The main trends in the development of the design and symbolic significance of shields in Europe during the Middle Ages are outlined. At the same time, emphasis was placed on sources concerning Rus’ lands and adjacent territories. The author draws attention to the need to compare archaeological, written and iconographic sources in one study. The study focuses on the most representative sources, especially those that can be to apply on material from the Rus’ lands. It is emphasized that the shield as a basic element of protective equipment during the Middle Ages, іn Rus’ lands largely developed in line with European trends. Which in turn makes it impossible to isolate local features about to beginning of the ХІІІ century. At the turn of the XII–XIII centuries in some regions of Eastern Europe, namely the Rus’-Baltic-Polish border, a relatively new type of shield is being formed, the so-called “protopaveza”. This in turn had a direct impact on the armaments of Rus’ and the Teutonic Order in the ХІІІ–ХІV centuries. The author analyzes the main interactions and borrowings of types of shields between different regions of Eastern Europe during the Middle Ages. It is noted that in the Ukrainian medieval state of Rus’, which was at the intersection of Eastern and Western military traditions, shields of both European types and the eastern “kalkan” could be used. However, given the available sources, it is safe to say that the European trend of development of this protective equipment had an advantage. The author came to the conclusion that the shields used in Rus’ and Europe in the X–XII centuries generally belonged to the same types. In particular, it is round, almond-shaped and triangular shields. The issue of shields of the XIII–XV centuries remains more complicated. During this period can be observed as the influence of Western Europe on Rus’, for example, the spread of the knight's “tarch”. And trends that began in Eastern Europe, namely the spread of pavises in the XIV–XV centuries.

This paper applies recently developed procedures to monitor and date so-called “financial market dislocations”, defined as periods in which substantial deviations from arbitrage parities take place. In particular, we use a cointegration perspective to focus on deviations from the triangular arbitrage parity for exchange rate triplets. Due to increasing attention on and importance of mispricing in the market for cryptocurrencies, we include the cryptocurrency Bitcoin in addition to fiat currencies in our analysis. We do not find evidence for substantial deviations from the triangular arbitrage parity when only traditional fiat currencies are considered, but document significant deviations from triangular arbitrage parities in the newer market for Bitcoin. We tentatively confirm the importance of our results for portfolio strategies by showing that a currency portfolio that trades based on our detected break-points outperforms a simple buy-and-hold strategy.

Let G be a graph with p vertices and q edges. The nth centered triangular number is denoted by M_n, where M_n = 1/2 (3n2 - 3n + 2). A centered triangular sum labeling of a graph G is a one-to-one function : V (G) → N ∪{0} that induces a bijection f *: E(G) →{M_1 〖,M〗_2,…M_q} of the edges of G defined by f * (uv) = f(u) + f(v), for all e = uv ∊ E(G). The graph which admits such labeling is called a centered triangular sum graph. In this article, the centered triangular sum labeling of union of some graphs are studied.

The Green’s function approach is applied for studying the exact and approximate null-controllability of a finite rod in finite time by means of a source moving along the rod with controllable trajectory. The intensity of the source remains constant. Applying the recently developed Green’s function approach, the analysis of the exact null-controllability is reduced to an infinite system of nonlinear constraints with respect to the control function. A sufficient condition for the approximate null-controllability of the rod is obtained. Since the exact solution of the system of constraints is a long-standing open problem, some heuristic solutions are used instead. The efficiency of these solutions is shown on particular cases of approximate controllability.
