Opis:: W pracy zaprezentowano przykłady zastosowania wybranych narzędzi zarządzania jakością w przedsiębiorstwie zajmującym się produkcją cementu. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy i zastosowania diagramu Pareto-Lorenza zidentyfikowano najczęściej występujące w procesie produkcji cementu niezgodności. Analizę przyczyn powodujących powstawanie licznych niezgodności przeprowadzono na podstawie diagramu relacji i diagramu drzewa.
The paper presents selected examples of quality management tools application in a company involved in the production of cement. Based on the analysis and application of the Pareto-Lorenz diagram the most often noticed (in the production of cement) incompatibility have been identified. Analysis of the reasons causing the formation of a number of non-compliance was based on the diagram of relation and the tree diagram.

Opis:: The contribution summarizes nearly all the models of classification of the Slavic languages, presented in the past 350 years, from simple enumeration through the qualitative and quantitative approaches, typically leading to the developmental models depicted as tree-diagrams, as well as the linear and net models. The individual models, especially the quantitative ones, are discussed in detail and, finally, correlated with accounts of Byzantine historians.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie wybranego narzędzia zarządzania jakością w zakładzie zajmującym się produkowaniem spodni. Po przeprowadzonych badaniach, powstał diagram Pareto-Lorenza, który ukazuje przyczyny poprzez, które powstaje wyrób nie spełniający wymagań klientów, normy. Diagram drzewa ukazuje działania zapobiegawcze jak i korygujące do powstałych przyczyn.
The aim of this article is to present the selected quality management tool in a trousers production facility. After the research, a Pareto-Lorenz diagram has been developed, which shows the causes by which the product does not meet the requirements of the customer. The tree diagram shows the preventive and corrective actions for the causes.

Opis:: Artificial intelligence is a field that has been rapidly developing in various areas of knowledge in recent years. Its application in medicine can support the intensive development of research in health care and improve and ac-celerate the operation of many medical facilities. This article presents sev-eral examples of expert systems that can find application in diagnosing and preparing a patient for selected tests. Expert systems can also find appli-cation in the rapid selection of rehabilitation, medical or support equip-ment and devices with which medical facilities are supplied. In this article, the reader will also find a sample application that will perform this func-tion. The article presents the elements of which a correct expert system should consist. For each application, tests have been carried out to show the correctness of the system. The purpose of the article was to show the capabilities of the expert system and its application in medical fields.

Opis:: The paper concerns models with time dependencies that can be used in modelling dynamic reliability and complex maintenance processes. Emphasis is put on models that have been elaborated with authors participation. The following models are presented: fault trees with time dependencies, probabilistic fault trees with time dependencies, reliability enhanced activity diagrams. The above models are illustrated by examples. Both types of fault trees are used in modelling the time coordination of distance protections in high voltage transmission line. Then reliability enhanced activity diagrams that express the maintenance process of computer system with redundant components. Components are submitted to failures and repairs.

Opis:: The introduction to the Fault Tree Analysis has been presented in this article. Selected publications on the Fault Tree Analysis have been listed. The usefulness of the method in marine engineering application has been indicated. Reliability testing facility has been presented, that is typical two-stroke, slow-speed ship crosshead Diesel engine intended to power the ship. The way of creating system model with the Fault Tree Analysis application has been presented. Reliability structure of tested engine has been modelled using Reliability Block Diagrams, as well as the Fault Tree Analysis. Main tree describing the object reliability structure analysis and the sub-tree structure modelling crank system, subsystem of the cam shaft, cylinder exemplary system and turbocharger have been built. Qualitative analysis of the tree has been conducted – the minimal cut sets of the system has been determined. The directions for further research have been indicated.
