Opis:: The article presents an analysis of the economic and transport connections between the Łódź and Świętokrzyskie regions, in particular between Łódź and Kielce. Shortages in the railway network, which make it impossible to effectively use railway transport for both passenger and freight transport, were identified. An analysis was also performed concerning the use of opportunities arising from the course of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) through the territory of both regions. A program of necessary infrastructure investment was also proposed.

Opis:: Large-scale distributed transportation systems can pose various risks in terms of fatalities, environmental pollution, or loss of property. In particular, accident where a vehicle carrying large number of passengers is involved may pose a high risk with respect to human casualties, moreover it will immediately raise a public and political concern. This is an issue in case of maritime transportation systems (MTS), as the biggest ships nowadays can carry up to 8500 people at once (m/s Oasis of the Seas). Thereby lot of effort has been put to increase safety of ships carrying passengers; however the holistic approach to model and manage the risk existing in the MTS is still missing. This paper makes an attempt to fill this gap, by presenting a data-driven model evaluating risk level in the existing MTS and by introducing a systematic methodology for mitigating the risk. Moreover the MTS operating in the Gulf of Finland under non-ice conditions is addressed, where heavy passenger traffic is observed.

Opis:: Metro w Mińsku funkcjonuje od 1984 r., i obecnie jest jedynym systemem kolei podziemnej na Białorusi. Sieć metra składa się z dwóch linii – Niebieskiej (Moskiewskiej) i Czerwonej (Awtozawodskiej), z jedną stacją przesiadkową. Budowana jest kolejna linia – Zielona (Zielonołużskaja), która będzie mieć po jednej stacji przesiadkowej z liniami Czerwoną i Niebieską. Linia Niebieska ma przebieg północny- wschód – południowy-zachód, linia Czerwona - południowy--wschód –zachód. Linia Zielona będzie przebiegać w kierunku północ – południe. Obsługa taborowa jest realizowana z użyciem pociągów wyprodukowanych w Rosji (fabryki w Mytiszczach oraz Wagonmasz z St. Petersburga), a dla linii Zielonej szwajcarski producent Stadler przygotował nowoczesne pociągi. W metrze stosowany jest rozstaw szyn 1520 mm oraz ruch prawostronny.
The metro in Minsk has been operating since 1984 and is currently the only underground rail system in Belarus. The metro network consists of two lines – the Blue (Moskovskaya) and Red (Avtozavodska), with one interchange station (Table 1). Another route is under construction: the Green Line (Zelonoluzhskaya), which will have one interchange station with the Red and Blue lines. The Blue line runs north-east - south-west, the Red line - south-east - west direction. The Green Line will run northsouth. The rolling stock service is carried out using trains that were manufactured in Russia (works in Mytishche and the Vagonmash one from St. Petersburg), and the Swiss manufacturer Stadler has made modern trains for the Green line. The metro uses 1520 mm rail gauge and right-hand traffic.

Opis:: The process of monitoring vehicle traffic and detecting traffic incidents and traffic obstructions requires access to information from sensors located at various points of monitoring and data acquisition systems constituting elements of contemporary Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are increasingly becoming an element of ITS used in reconnaissance, preventive or rescue operations. Ensuring the efficiency of transportation in conditions of increased traffic requires providing users with multimedia information about: meteorological conditions prevailing on roads, traffic, current events and difficulties, and information on the availability of parking spaces. In each of the mentioned cases, the reliability and quality of information provided with the use of UAVs is an extremely important issue. Therefore, the provision of video surveillance services with a predictable level of quality and reliability is an important challenge for UAVs practical implementations. Thus, the fundamental research problem considered in the publication is the analysis of the impact of environmental and technical parameters on the quality and reliability of the UAVs video monitoring service provided in a real operating environment.

Opis:: Współczesne podsystemy transportowe systemów produkcyjnych budowane są w oparciu o autonomiczne platformy mobilne. W pracy zaprezentowano projekt trzykołowej, zasilanej akumulatorowo, autonomicznej platformy służącej do realizacji zadań transportowych. Platforma napędzana jest zintegrowanym z kołem silnikiem elektrycznym prądu stałego. Wyposażona w laserowe systemy bezpieczeństwa i nawigacji oraz komputerowy układ sterowania może samodzielnie realizować zadania transportowe. System sterowania umożliwia pracę ręczną i automatyczną.
Contemporary transport subsystems of production systems are based on mobile autonomous platforms. The paper presents design of a three-wheel, battery powered, autonomous mobile platform that runs on the plant floor. The platform is driven by a DC motor integrated with the wheel. It is equipped with laser obstacle detection system, laser navigation system and computer control system what enable carrying loads by itself. Control system works in manual and automatic control modes.

Opis:: Various intelligent transportation systems are proposed in different forms of wireless communication technologies. Recently, the importance of visible light communication and free-space optics has been demonstrated in accomplishing vehicle-to-vehicle and infrastructure-to-vehicle communication systems, due to power efficiency, free licenses, and safety for human health. In this paper, a new hybrid relay system supported by free-space optics/visible light communication with two scenarios is proposed. The first one is that the data are transferred from the source to the relay through a free-space optics communication link and are then directed to the destination through a visible light communication link. The second scenario is that the data are transmitted from the source to the destination passing through two different relays to ensure larger coverage. A 10‾⁶ bit error rate is achieved at a distance of 900 m for the first scenario with a remarkable signal-to-noise ratio of ~25.5 dB, while the largest distance that can be covered by the second scenario is 1200 m with a signalto- noise ratio of ~30 dB.

Opis:: Jednym z elementów zwiększenia bezpieczeństwa lotniczych systemów transportowych jest zastosowanie tzw. systemów antykolizyjnych, wspomagających komunikację systemu antropotechnicznego „człowiek-statek powietrzny”. Współczesne zintegrowane systemy awioniczne (wykorzystujące systemy antykolizyjne) obejmują m.in. układy ostrzegające o potencjalnym zderzeniu pomiędzy statkami powietrznymi w locie (typu TCAS w zakresie „powietrze - powietrze”) oraz o zderzeniu statku powietrznego z ziemią (typu GPWS w zakresie „powietrze - ziemia”). Umożliwiają one nie tylko bezpośrednie informowanie załogi statku powietrznego o wystąpieniu sytuacji zagrożenia kolizją (co jest bardzo ważne podczas lotów manewrowych i w czasie podejścia do lądowania), ale także podają komendy dyrektywne (nakazujące czynności niezbędne dla wykonania manewru „ominięcia” przeszkody). Prowadzone obecnie prace rozwojowe w zakresie systemów antykolizyjnych wskazują na możliwości wykorzystania informacji o sytuacji zagrożenia kolizją w tzw. nahełmowej prezentacji danych. Technicznym rozwiązaniem takiego podejścia mogą być hełmy lotnicze przystosowane do pracy w tzw. cyberprzestrzeni (np. system nahełmowy dla samolotu F-35). W Polsce, przy podobnych pracach prowadzonych przez m.in. ITWL i PCO w ramach modernizacji statków powietrznych z awioniką analogową, pojawił się problem wiarygodności źródeł pozyskania danych o zagrożeniu kolizją i ich przetworzenia do wersji zobrazowania nahełmowego (według standardu GLASS COCPIT). W referacie przedstawiono wyniki przeprowadzonych w ITWL badań modelowych w zakresie wiarygodności informacji otrzymywanej z wybranych systemów antykolizyjnych oraz możliwości zastosowania jej do nahełmowej prezentacji danych dla modernizowanych wojskowych statków powietrznych. Omówiono wybrane metody i układy wykorzystywane do wspomagania pilota w zakresie ostrzegania o sytuacji zagrożenia kolizją (zobrazowanie monitorowe) oraz przedstawiono wybrane wyniki analizy prawdopodobieństwa kolizji statków powietrznych w kontrolowanej przestrzeni powietrznej. Zaprezentowano zestaw nahełmowego systemu wyświetlania parametrów lotu SWPL-1 (zbudowany w Zakładzie Awioniki ITWL) oraz przedstawiono propozycje zastosowania systemu antykolizyjnego na śmigłowcach wojskowych Sił Zbrojnych RP.
Application of the so-called anti-collision systems that support communication within the anthropo-technical, i.e. the ‘human being - aircraft', system is one of many and various ways to im-prove safety of any air transportation systems. Modern integrated avionic systems (within which anti-collision systems are most often used) cover, among other items, systems to warn of possible mid-air collision between aircraft (TCAS, for ‘air-to-air’ applications, a type of Airborne Collision Avoidance System) and those to alert pilots to the possibility of flying into the ground (GPWS, for ‘air-to-ground’ dangers, a type of Terrain Awareness and Warning System). Both allow the pilots/aircrews to be directly informed about the occurrence of the risk of collision (which is extremely important while performing a high-manoeuvrability flight or during the aircraft's approach to landing). What is more, they provide the aircrew with directive commands that indicate specific actions/manoeuvres to avoid obstacle/collision. Development work on anti-collision systems, under way just now, prove there is a chance to use information on the risk of collision in the so-called helmet-mounted display (HMD). This approach may be illustrated with flight helmets adapted to operate within the so-called cyber-space (e.g. the HMD system for the F-35 Joint strike Aircraft). Similar works carried out in Poland by, among other companies, ITWL and PCO under a common project targeted at upgrading aircraft furnished with analogue avionics have given rise to a number of questions. Reliability of sources of data on the risk of collision and the data processing to meet the HMD requirements following the GLASS COCKPIT standard are among the most important ones.The paper has been intended to present results of the ITWL-conducted model-based studies on the reliability of information/data received from some selected anti-collision systems, and on capabilities to apply it to helmet-mounted display systems for upgraded military aircraft.

The examples of technical solutions of transportation systems used in automated assembly lines are introduced in the article. The presented subject area covers transportation systems along the assembly line as well as systems of vertical transportation. The paper contains number of examples of technical transportation systems together with description of advantages and the utilization possibilities. The article also contains the description of requirements for monitoring and control systems for each individual solution.

The paper presents a predictive model for evaluating information in making decisions on management of the transport system. It is shown that the problem of determining the depth forecast’s flashbacks to the aging information can be adequately solved by traditional methods of mathematical statistics.

The technology of cooperation between the various elements of infrastructure and vehicles will determine further evolution of telematic solutions, leading to synergies arising from both existing and new applications, as well as from the advent of the Internet of things in transportation. The next step in the development of such systems is Cooperative ITS. It already has a solid foundation in the European Union’s strategic documents on transportation, and the first implementations are under way.

Opis:: Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) are not single implementation but program of projects which have to be managed. There are methodologies associated with multi project management. They do not meet fully the needs of ITS program management. How to add new projects and operational tasks to ITS program? The paper presents literature analysis of methodological program management. Project documentation of intelligent transportation system called TRISTAR was studied. The environment of ITS projects was identified. The scheme of management and development of ITS program was developed. The guidance to development of program of ITS projects were provided.
Inteligentne systemy transportowe (ang. intelligent transportation systems - ITS) nie są jednorazowymi wdrożeniami, ale programem projektów, którym należy zarządzać. Istnieją metodologie dotyczące zarządzania wieloma projektami. Nie odpowiadają one w pełni potrzebom zarządzania programem projektów ITS. Rodzi się zatem pytanie, jak dokładać nowe projekty i działania o charakterze operacyjnym do programu inteligentnych systemów transportowych? W artykule przeanalizowano zarządzanie programem projektów od strony metodycznej. Przeanalizowano dokumentację systemu TRISTAR. Dokonano identyfikacji środowiska projektów inteligentnych systemów transportowych (ITS). Opracowano schemat zarządzania i rozwoju programu projektów inteligentnych systemów transportowych. Stworzono wytyczne do rozwoju programu projektów ITS w miarę upływu czasu.

Opis:: The lack of attention during the driving task is considered as a major risk factor for fatal road accidents around the world. Despite the ever-growing trend for autonomous driving which promises to bring greater road-safety benefits, the fact is today’s vehicles still only feature partial and conditional automation, demanding frequent driver action. Moreover, the monotony of such a scenario may induce fatigue or distraction, reducing driver awareness and impairing the regain of the vehicle’s control. To address this challenge, we introduce a non-intrusive system to monitor the driver in terms of fatigue, distraction, and activity. The proposed system explores state-of-the-art sensors, as well as machine learning algorithms for data extraction and modeling. In the domain of fatigue supervision, we propose a feature set that considers the vehicle’s automation level. In terms of distraction assessment, the contributions concern (i) a holistic system that covers the full range of driver distraction types and (ii) a monitoring unit that predicts the driver activity causing the faulty behavior. By comparing the performance of Support Vector Machines against Decision Trees, conducted experiments indicated that our system can predict the driver’s state with an accuracy ranging from 89% to 93%.

Opis:: Electrified railways are an example of AC single phase distribution networks. A non-negligible amount of active and nonactive power may be related to harmonics, especially for distorted highly-loaded systems. The paper considers the relevance of the harmonic power terms in order to identify distortion sources in a single-point perspective, in line with the approach of EN 50463 for the quantification of the power and energy consumption. Some single-point Harmonic Producer Indicators (HPI) based on harmonic active power direction and nonactive distortion power terms are reviewed and evaluated using pantograph voltage and current measured during several hours of runs in two European AC railways (operated at 16.7 and 50 Hz). The HPI based on active power shows to be consistent and provides detailed information of rolling stock characteristic components under variable operating conditions; those based on nonactive distortion power are global indexes and hardly can operate with complex harmonic patterns in variable operating conditions.

Opis:: Intelligent transportation systems mostly operate on information exchange principle between vehicles and roadside infrastructure. They are commonly regarded as a base technology for persistent diminution of road accidents and traffic efficiency increase. However, intelligent transportation systems can also be used at all levels of transportation systems as a basis for stable development of cities, enterprises, regions, states, continents. According to the research, the existing intelligent transportation systems not only provide the considerable reduction of greenhouse gases emissions, fuel saving, time of travel cutting, but they don’t marginalize citizens’ mobility as well. Thus, the further development and introduction of modern transportation innovative technologies will allow to guarantee the power- and resources efficiency and, therefore, the sustainable development of the whole society.

Opis:: Transportation of people in underground mining and transport of ore and is one of the most important processes affecting the efficiency of the production of raw material. As a means of transport is used, among others, locomotives and tractors suspended. Due to the harmful emissions from diesel locomotives committed to their reduction and replacement of electric drives. In the deepest mines decks during drilling pits paving practically used combustion drives. Ore extraction and transportation of materials is carried out by means of electrically powered transport systems. Used locomotive battery par with mobility combustion locomotives, exceeding them by the efficiency and lower emission of harmful gases. The paper discusses the development of drive systems used in mining locomotives battery since the inception of the first solutions to this day. They pointed out the advantages and disadvantages introduced in turn drives. A comparative analysis of the energy efficiency of selected drive systems in terms of ensuring the required level of safety resulting from their use. In conclusion formulated conclusions and the directions of the development drive is-bugs mine battery locomotives from the perspective of the coming years.
Przewóz ludzi w podziemnych wyrobiskach górniczych oraz transport materiałów i urobku jest jednym z najważniejszych procesów wpływających na efektywność produkcji surowca. Jako środki transportu stosuje się m.in. lokomotywy spągowe oraz ciągniki podwieszone. Z uwagi na emisję szkodliwych substancji pochodzących z lokomotyw spalinowych dąży się do ich ograniczenia i zastąpienia napędami elektrycznymi. W najgłębszych pokładach kopalń, podczas drążenia wyrobisk chodnikowych praktycznie nie wykorzystuje się napędów spalinowych. Wydobycie urobku oraz transport materiałów realizowany jest za pomocą systemów transportowych zasilanych elektrycznie. Stosowane lokomotywy akumulatorowe dorównują mobilnością lokomotywom spalinowym, przewyższając je przy tym sprawnością i niższą emisją szkodliwych gazów. W referacie omówiono rozwój układów napędowych stosowanych w górniczych lokomotywach akumulatorowych od momentu powstania pierwszych rozwiązań aż po dzień dzisiejszy. Wskazano wady i zalety wprowadzanych kolejno napędów. Dokonano analizy porównawczej sprawności energetycznej wybranych układów napędowych w aspekcie zapewnienia wymaganego poziomu bezpieczeństwa wynikającego z ich stosowania. W podsumowaniu sformułowano wnioski końcowe oraz wskazano kierunki rozwoju napędów górniczych lokomotyw akumulatorowych z perspektywy nadchodzących lat.

Opis:: This paper gives an overview on some ethical aspects of ITS development and applications. The technical evolution of ITSs is a basis for development of various ITS technologies, systems, applications, and services. The future ITSs will become more and more intelligent and autonomous in their behavior. The new kind of advanced ITSs will emerge in the future, e.g. ITS with artificial moral agent. There will be a need for creating a new kind of "machine" ethics, called ITS ethics, for ITS professionals, namely ITS designers, manufacturers and users. ITS ethics addresses a number of moral issues which arise if researchers are able to build up intelligent systems with intellectual capacities that behave analogically to human beings. The most important problem will be: who or what is morally responsible for malfunctions of ITSs? The malfunctions of ITS usually cause some unnecessary suffering to people, and it is immoral.

Opis:: Celem badań jest poszukiwanie parametrów wektora cech ekstrahowanego z sygnału fonicznego w kontekście automatycznego rozpoznawania stanu nawierzchni jezdni oraz typu pojazdów. W pierwszej kolejności przedstawiono wpływ warunków pogodowych na charakterystykę widmową sygnału fonicznego rejestrowanego przy przejeżdżających pojazdach. Następnie, dokonano parametryzacji sygnału fonicznego oraz przeprowadzano analizę korelacyjną w celu przedstawienia separowalności klas na podstawie ekstrahowanych parametrów. W procesie optymalizacji proponowanego wektora cech wykorzystano statystykę Behrensa-Fishera.
The aim of this study is to find a feature vector for an automatic recognition of road surface conditions and the type of vehicles, extracted form an audio signal. First, the influence of weather-based conditions of road surface on spectral characteristic of the audio signal recorded from a passing vehicle in close proximity to the road is shortly discussed. Next, parameterization of the recorded audio signal is performed and examples of the correlation analyses are presented in the context of the class separability. Behrens-Fisher statistics is used to find the most suitable parameters that may be contained in the optimized feature vector.

Opis:: Transportation systems in USA are an integral part of the current infrastructure systems and involves a huge investment as part of the government and taxpayers. Therefore, transportation systems have economic, social and vital importance for the U.S. Security and safety of transportation systems and infrastructures in case of any possible future disasters and hazards are crucial for state transportation agencies. The objective of this paper is to develop and implement a comprehensive emergency management strategy for transportation systems in the U.S. in case of any disaster and hazards. In this paper, recommendations are provided to define best deployment of updated emergency response into practice. Practical issues are detailed affecting potential implementation of the strategy. Possible actions to address management issues and tools are investigated; and methods of identifying and measuring the impacts associated with implementation of the strategy are explained.

Opis:: The paper describes an attempt of using magnetic detectors as an effective alternative to existing vehicle detection systems, which are a key factor in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). The detectors created within the project use the phenomenon of anisotropic magnetoresistance to report about the appearance of vehicles on the basis of Earth's local magnetic field distortion caused by them passing. This paper presents utilized and developed technologies, advantages and disadvantages of magnetic detection in comparison to other detection systems and problems that arose during the project implementation.
Artykuł opisuje próbę zastosowania czujników magnetycznych jako skutecznej alternatywy dla istniejących systemów detekcji pojazdów w ruchu ulicznym, będących kluczowym czynnikiem inteligentnych systemów transportowych (ITS – Intelligent Transportation Systems). Czujniki stworzone w ramach projektu wykorzystują zjawisko magnetooporu anizotropowego do raportowania o pojawieniu się pojazdu na podstawie zakłóceń, jakie wywołuje on w lokalnym polu magnetycznym Ziemi. Praca prezentuje wykorzystane i stworzone technologie, wady i zalety detekcji magnetycznej na tle innych systemów detekcyjnych oraz problemy, które wyniknęły przy implementacji projektu.

Opis:: New air traffic control ideas are sought. Many studies point out the delegation of the responsibility for ensuring separation from air traffic controllers to the aircraft crews, but it should be assumed that the transition from centralized to decentralized air traffic control will occur in stages. It is, therefore, necessary to ensure effective communication between conflicting aircraft and to define the negotiation process between aircraft. The concept of the process of negotiation and communication between aircraft in conflict using a monotonic concession protocol is presented. The proposed solution was modeled using a Petri Net, which allowed us to analyze all the dependencies present in the system. The analysis allowed us to evaluate the method in the context of safety. The conducted research showed that, under the assumed conditions, the negotiation method allows obtaining the desired effect of negotiations while maintaining an adequate level of safety.

Opis:: In this paper, we consider a regulation problem of an urban transportation network. From a given timetable, we aim to find a new schedule of multiple vehicles after the detection of a disturbance at a given time. The main objective is to find a solution maximizing the level of service for all passengers. This problem was intensively studied with evolutionary approaches and multi-agent techniques, but without identifying its type before. In this paper, we formulate the problem as a classical one in the case of an unlimited vehicle capacity. In the case of a limited capacity and an integrity constraint, the problem becomes difficult to solve. Then, a new coding and well-adapted operators are proposed for such a problem and integrated in a new evolutionary approach.

Opis:: The implementation of the CSM regulation by the European Commission in 2009 which harmonizes the risk assessment process and introduces a rather new concept of judging changes within the European railway industry. This circumstance has risen the question how other technology sectors handle the aspect of modifications and alterations. The paper discusses the approaches for judging the significance of modifications within the three transport sectors of European railways, aviation and maritime transportation and the procedure which is used in the area of nuclear safety. We will outline the similarities and differences between these four methods and discuss the underlying reasons. Finally, we will take into account the role of the European legislator and the fundamental idea of a harmonization of the different approaches.

Opis:: Pierwsze systemy automatycznego wykrywania zdarzeń niebezpiecznych pojawiały się na amerykańskich drogach już w drugiej połowie ubiegłego wieku. Obecnie obserwujemy wiele przykładów wdrożeń metod Inteligentnych Systemów Transportu w Polsce, które także stwarzają szanse na zarządzanie zdarzeniami niebezpiecznymi i ich wykrywanie zarówno na drogach zamiejskich, jak i w sieciach ulicznych obszarów zurbanizowanych. W artykule przedstawiono przegląd metod wykrywania zdarzeń niepożądanych na odcinkach międzywęzłowych autostrad, dróg ekspresowych oraz dróg głównych ruchu przyspieszonego w przypadku braku zaburzeń, wynikających z zatłoczenia, powodowanego sygnalizacją świetlną. Przedstawiono ponadto koncepcję systemu zarządzania incydentami w ramach systemu ITS na Obwodnicy Trójmiasta.
The first incident detection systems appeared on American roads in the second half of the last century. Currently there are many examples of implementations of Intelligent Transport Systems methods in Poland, which however should pay more attention to the traffic incidents management and detection both on rural roads and street networks in urban areas. The paper provides an overview of methods for detecting incidents on sections of motorways, expressways and major roads in the absence of disturbances, resulting from congestion caused by traffic signals. Idea of incidents management on in the Tri-City Bypass Road was presented as well.

This paper presents the current state of the implementation of the ITS services on national roads in functional, physical and logical terms and the premises for the KSZR’s development. The description of the state of the development of ITS services on national roads was compiled within the framework of the RID 4D “The impact of the usage of Intelligent Transport Systems services on the level of road safety” research project, funded by the National Centre for Research and Development and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.

Opis:: An individual characteristic of technical objects utilized in aviation (and not only in aviation) is their multipurpose and multitask. These properties regard both single airplane and sets of airplanes (fleet of airplanes). It is expressed by task variety, which fleet of airplanes (airline) must realize, and in variety of working space. Set of various both length air routes and airplanes traffic density constitutes set of tasks. The only way to increase affectivity is utilize airplane in restricted field (specialization). Technical differences and individual geographic and climatic characteristics of airdromes are operating conditions. Set of tasks and operating conditions of airplanes define multitasks (general-purpose) of the character of their application. N algorithm of determination of airplane fleet optimal specialization fields is presented. Some example results are presented for a hypothetical airplane fleet of twin-engine, pistonprop and turboprop, general aviation, transport category aircrafts. In calculated example airplanes geometry and tasks set characteristics are fixed. The analysis objective is searching of airplanes optimum specialization fields.
Cechą charakterystyczną pojedynczych samolotów i ich zbiorów, składających się na określony park lotniczy jest wielozadaniowość i wykorzystywanie ich w ramach większych systemów. Przejawia się ona rozmaitością celów, które musi zrealizować park samolotów (np. Linia lotnicza), oraz różnorodnością warunków jego funkcjonowania. To właśnie definiuje wielozadaniowy (uniwersalny) charakter zastosowania samolotów. Drogą do zwiększenia efektywności dla użytego wskaźnika jest wykorzystywanie samolotu nie w całym obszarze możliwych zastosowań, lecz w obszarze zawężonym (specjalizacja). Powoduje to konieczność znalezienia optymalnego rozkładu zadań pomiędzy „konkurującymi" samolotami w celu wyznaczenia obszarów specjalizacji dla każdego z nich. W pracy przedstawione zostało rozwiązanie zadania, polegającego na znalezieniu optymalnych obszarów specjalizacji (będących podzbiorami zbioru zadań całego systemu) elementów wielozadaniowego systemu lotniczego. W pracy zawarty został opis metody i algorytmu rozwiązywania zagadnienia optymalnego rozkładu zadań systemu wielozadaniowego, opracowanych z wykorzystaniem wskaźnika jakości lokalnej. Przy tworzeniu zaprezentowanego algorytmu wykorzystano ogólne własności zbioru realizowanych zadań i wskaźnika efektywności całego systemu oraz specyficzne własności sytemu lotniczego i wskaźnika oceny efektywności lokalnej. Dla zilustrowania prezentowanego zagadnienia przedstawiony został przykład obliczeniowy polegający na znalezieniu obszarów specjalizacji dla wybranych typów samolotów hipotetycznego parku lotniczego. Obliczenia wykonane zostały dla parku samolotów krótkiego zasięgu.

Opis:: The considerations included in the paper apply to the problem of the multi-criteria evaluation of transportation systems with constraints on delivery times in supply chains. For this reason, the identification of the transport network model and the nature of the configuration of the supply chain itself was carried out. In addition, a review of issues of the multi-criteria evaluation were done with respect to transportation systems. Later, the problem of the transport service of a distribution system were formulated and then, the results were analysed using the multi-criteria method. Finally, the paper examines the impact of the threshold of compliance and the threshold of non-compliance on of the final outcome of the solution.
Rozważania zamieszczone w artykule dotyczą problematyki wielokryterialnej oceny systemów przewozowych przy ograniczeniach na czas dostawy w łańcuchach dostaw. W tym celu dokonano identyfikacji modelu sieci transportowej oraz istoty konfigurowania samego łańcucha dostaw. Ponadto dokonano przeglądu problematyki oceny wielokryterialnej w aspekcie systemów przewozowych. W dalszej części sformułowano problem obsługi transportowej systemu dystrybucji, a następnie przeanalizowano otrzymane wyniki wykorzystując metodę wielokryterialną. W końcowej części artykułu przeanalizowano wpływ wartości progu zgodności i progu niezgodności na wynik końcowy rozwiązania.

Improving the reliability of urban passenger transport service has the potential to increase the attractiveness of public transit to current and prospective riders. Passengers expected that public transit will offer reliability and high quality service with acceptable cost level. This paper presents model management urban passenger transport system as a logistics approach.

Opis:: Przedstawiono połączenie wyników dotyczących niezawodności systemów z uwzględnieniem ich procesów eksploatacji i wyników dotyczących granicznych funkcji niezawodności systemów równoległo-szeregowych. Zastosowanie asymptotycznego podejścia do oceny niezawodności i gotowości wielostanowego systemu równoległo-szeregowego w zmiennych warunkach eksploatacyjnych zostało zaprezentowane na przykładzie stoczniowego systemu transportu linowego.
The paper presents the results on systems' reliability related to their operation processes and the results on limit reliability functions of parallel-series systems. The results of the asymptotic approach to the evaluation of multi-state parallel-series system reliability and availability are presented. Finally, their application to the ship-rope transportation system evaluation is given.

Opis:: W przedstawionej pracy zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę modelowania systemów transportowych w aspekcie oceny ich niezawodności. Uwzględnienie zależności czasowych między elementami systemu transportowego w celu dokładniejszego odzwierciedlenia warunków rzeczywistych wymaga dokonania wyboru właściwej metody analizy. Jedną z takich metod jest metoda dynamicznego drzewa niezdatności (DFTA), która opiera się na klasycznej metodzie drzewa niezdatności (FTA), uzupełnionej o bramki logiczne z zależnościami czasowymi. Z uwagi na skomplikowane procedury obliczeniowe, metoda DFTA jest trudna do zastosowania w ujęciu analitycznym. Z tego też powodu korzysta się m.in. z technik symulacyjnych, takich jak np. symulacja Monte Carlo. Jest ona często stosowana w ocenie niezawodności obiektów technicznych, jednak w przypadku systemów o wysokim stopniu złożoności wspierana dodatkowo przez specjalistyczne oprogramowanie komputerowe. Niniejsza praca dotyczy oceny niezawodności przykładowego systemu transportowego, którego model stanowi dynamiczne drzewo niezdatności. Za pomocą symulacji Monte Carlo wyznaczono wybrane miary, mogące służyć do oceny niezawodności. Realizację procedury obliczeniowej wykonano przy pomocy oprogramowania firmy Reliasoft.
The presented paper focuses on the need for modelling of the transportation systems in terms of the reliability assessment. Taking into account the time dependencies between the elements of the system in order to develop the more accurate model needs to choose the appropriate analysis method. One of the methods is Dynamic Fault Tree Analysis (DFTA), which extends the classical Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)by adding the logical gates with time dependencies. Due to the sophisticated calculation procedures, DFT may be difficult to solve it analytically. For this reason the simulation methods are often applied, such as the Monte Carlo Simulation method. It is commonly used for assessing the reliability of the technical objects, but in the case of the complex systems it is supported by a specialized software. This work is aimed at reliability assessment of the given transportation system. Created Dynamic Fault Tree of the system was solved using the Monte Carlo Simulation method. We obtained the selected measures, which can be used to assess the reliability. Performed Calculations were supported by the Reliasoft’s software.

Opis:: Transport telematics (ITS - Inteligent Transport Systems) deals with application of information and communication technologies with the aim of enhancing traffic performance, economies, efficiency, safety, ecology and comfort of transport. ITS basic functions applicable to all modes of transport include a.o. traffic control and management, intelligent vehicles, electronic fee collection, management of rescue systems, management of public mass transportation, route planning, provisioning of traffic information, fleet management and logistics of freight transport. Developing the tradition of science, research and the existing industrial basis, the Czech transport telematics sector is one of those most advanced in Europe. Nevertheless, the present scope of ITS implementation in the Czech Republic is relatively low, and the social climate and regulatory environment related to ITS aren´t at a sufficient high level either. Therefore, the Association for Transport Telematics (SDT, ITS&S) is coming up with an initiative called ITS 2020 Vision, trying to formulate crucial directions of development and implementation of transport telematics in the Czech Republic until 2020, identify the main obstacles to the development and propose the methods of how to remove them.

Opis:: Transport safety can be defined in a number of ways, including the official World Health Organisation (WHO) safety definition ‘freedom from unacceptable risk of harm’. Road safety is, however, usually defined in a negative way. Safe road traffic is characterised by the absence of crashes, injuries and fatalities. Crashes are used here instead of accidents because the word accident leads thoughts in the direction of an event that is hard to do something about ľ “it happened by accident”. For society and for the individual, the loss of health is the most serious effect of crashes. It leads both to serious personal suffering and to huge societal losses in monetary terms. Therefore, it is essential to state at this early stage that loss of health is the main road safety criterion. Convalescence and health restoration have economic consequences as have vehicle damage and loss of vehicles and goods.

Opis:: Traffic surveillance provides crucial data for the operation of intelligent transportation systems. The growing number of cameras in the transport system poses a problem for the efficient processing of surveillance data. Processing of video data for extracting traffic parameters is usually done using image processing methods and requires substantial processing resources. An alternative way is to transform the video stream and map the traffic parameters using the obtained transform coefficients. Spatiotemporal wavelet transform of the video stream contents, using filter banks, is proposed for mapping traffic parameters. Performed tests prove good resilience to illumination changes of road scenes. Mapping errors are smaller than in the case of the commonly used video detectors at sites on multilane roads with low to moderate traffic load.

Opis:: Rapid expansion of 5G affects a number of sectors, including vehicular communications relying on cooperative intelligent transportation systems (C-ITS). More specifically, in the context of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), a particular emphasis is placed on modern cellular V2X (C-V2X) technologies aiming to further improve road safety. This work originates from the detailed scope of the ongoing 5G-DRIVE research project promoting cooperation between the EU and China, with the aim of demonstrating IoV services that rely on vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications. With the C-V2X approach serving as a point of departure, we analyze and describe a specific green light-optimized speed advisory (GLOSA) use case, for which we provide a detailed descriptive framework, a proposed architectural framework for trials, as well as specific KPIs for the joint assessment of trials between the EU and China. We also discuss the context for performance test procedures to be conducted as part of the intended trials. GLOSA provides end-users with short-term information on upcoming traffic light status to optimize traffic flows, help prevent speed limit violations, improve fuel efficiency, and reduce pollution.
