    This paper is a result of work carried out under research grant for development the Model of Logistic System of Poland in terms of transport co-modality. The paper presents problems of rational apportioning cargo flows within transportation network. Regarding transport co-modality, the optimization task of apportioning material flow through transportation infrastructure elements was formulated. The assessment of adjusting transportation network to transportation tasks was provided with regard to transportation system development. Technical and ecological conditions of material movement process were given special consideration.

    W artykule omówiono trudności związane z pracami wdrożeniowymi nowej generacji pojazdów Przemysłowego Instytutu Maszyn Rolniczych (PIMR) wyposażonych w nowoczesny, hybrydowej budowy, układ hamulcowy i nowe układy sprzęgania pojazdów. Opracowany System Transportowy wpływa na poprawę bezpieczeństwa transportu i płynności ruchu drogowego, a także wpływa korzystnie na poprawę ochrony środowiska naturalnego. Prace wdrożeniowe prowadzone w PIMR wskazują na pilną potrzebę opracowania metodyk badawczych hybrydowej konstrukcji układów hamulcowych zamontowanych w nowej generacji zestawach pojazdów. Uzyskanie homologacyjnych świadectw dla hybrydowej konstrukcji układów hamulcowych utrudnia m.in. błędne przywoływanie przepisów, które odnoszą się do pneumatycznych układów hamulcowych.
    Paper discusses the research work progress on PIMR's Transportation System implemetation, legislative problems and obstacles during Test Approval procedures, Regulation 13 and Directives demands, as well as progress of implementation works. New Transportation System has potential great impact on road safety, improvement traffic-flow and better protection of natural environment. PIMR's research works indicate needs to speed-up homologation process of new hybrid type electronic-pneumatic-hydraulic brake systems. That process is also caused by not proper citation of Regulation 13 that are set only for pneumatic brake systems - but not for modern type complex nature electronic brakes.

    One of the most important factors in determining sustainable development of using a transport system is in its efficiency, and there are a number of indicators which can be considered to this end. The aim of this paper is to assess and evaluate such efficiencies, their indicators and the extent to which implementing sustainable development and sustainable transportation is feasible within the transportation system within the trade and manufacturing industry. To this end, the authors determine efficiency as a ratio between expenditure and resources, versus the effects of the realised transportation process. The first chapter introduces the transportation system and any specific terms discussed in this paper. The second chapter describes the source material used for the subject of sustainable development and sustainable transportation. The third chapter details the analyses of the transportation system as processed based upon the technical and economic indicators. The penultimate chapter compares existing and proposed alternative logistical solutions for profitability employing heuristically applied methods. And finally, the fifth chapter summarises the calculations and considerations from which the thesis’ conclusions are drawn. The authors also propose potential aspects for the development of the areas discussed in this paper.
    Jednym z istotniejszych czynników rozważanych w kwestiach dotyczących wdrażania zrównoważonego rozwoju w systemie transportowym jest jego efektywność. Istnieje wiele wskaźników wspomagających jej ocenę. Celem artykułu jest dokonanie oceny efektywności, z wykorzystaniem charakteryzujących ją wskaźników i próba odpowiedzi na pytanie czy zrównoważony rozwój oraz zrównoważony transport są możliwe do zaimplementowania w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjno-handlowym. Efektywność jest tu rozumiana jako stosunek nakładów finansowych oraz zasobów organizacyjnych przedsiębiorstwa do efektów realizacji zadania transportowego. Pierwszy rozdział artykułu jest wprowadzeniem i omówione zostają w nim wybrane aspekty systemu transportowego stosowanego przez przedsiębiorstwo. W drugim rozdziale omówiono pokrótce literaturę dotyczącą zrównoważonego rozwoju i zrównoważonego transportu. W trzecim rozdziale zawarta została analiza funkcjonującego systemu transportowego. Została ona dokonana w oparciu o wskaźniki techniczne oraz ekonomiczne. W czwartym rozdziale przeanalizowano alternatywną trasę przewozu w ramach systemu transportowego, a w piątym dokonano porównania dwóch tras przewozu: stosowaną obecnie oraz alternatywną. Dodatkowo, w podsumowaniu autorzy pracy proponują rozważenie pewnych aspektów dotyczących zrównoważonego rozwoju.

    Subject and purpose of work: The article presents the diversity of the use of EU funds for tourism in Poland in the region of Eastern Poland in the years 2014–2020. The focus was on indicating the regional differentiation of the size and type structure of projects. Materials and methods: The information base was data on projects co-financed from EU funds, collected in the National Information System (KSI SIMIK 2014-2020). Results: In all voivodships, both in terms of the number of projects and their values, projects in the field of culture (cultural heritage, cultural institutions, cultural events) definitely dominated. They constituted over 50% of the total number of all projects and 65% of their total value. Conclusions: In the years 2014-2020 tourism was included in the Regional Operational Programs indirectly, which impacted on the nature of implemented projects. Between them dominated projects related to the modernization and preservation of tourism resources, especially cultural projects.

    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie wyników badań dotyczących zmian konsumpcji usług transportu pasażerskiego w Polsce w latach 2003-2012 i wskazanie przyczyn tych zmian. W tym celu przeanalizowano dane statystyczne dotyczące różnych parametrów opisujących wielkość i strukturę konsumpcji tych usług.Zastosowano analizę statystyczną i porównawczą. Zauważono, że zmiany konsumpcji usług transportowych w badanym okresie miały charakter koniunkturalny (wskazano na procykliczność konsumpcji usług transportowych). Ponadto były one związane z procesami, które nastąpiły w otoczeniu społeczno-gospodarczym sektora transportu po wejściem Polski do Unii Europejskiej (w szczególności z masową emigracją zarobkową Polaków do innych krajów UE). Przedstawione wyniki są istotne z punktu widzenia prowadzenia polityki transportowej, ponieważ wskazują kierunki zmian popytu na usługi transportowej i przyczyny tych zmian w określonych warunkach gospodarczych.
    An aim of the article is to present findings of the research of changes in consumption of passenger transport services in Poland in 2003-2012 as well as to indicate the reasons for those changes. For this purpose there were analysed the statistical data concerning various parameters describing the volume and pattern of consumption of those services. The author applied the statistical and comparative analysis. It is noticed that changes of consumption of transport services in the period in question had the nature of business cycles (the author indicated the pro-cyclical nature of consumption of transport services). Moreover, they were connected with the processes that took place in the socioeconomic environment of the transport sector upon Poland’s accession to the European Union (in particular, with the Poles’ mass earning emigration to other EU countries). The obtained results are important from the point of view of implementation of the transport policy as they indicate the directions of changes in demand for transport services and the reasons for those changes under definite economic conditions.

    Land-sea transport chains constitute a key part of the Europe’s economy, as a significant part of its trade is carried out using sea transport. Transport, storage, or delivery processes carried out within these chains are characterized by specified economic and technical efficiency, which often does not take into consideration the external costs these processes generate. Therefore, there is a need for further changes in the European land-sea transport chains, the aim of which should be a further reduction of the negative influence of transport on the society and the environment, in accordance with the assumptions adopted under the EU's sustainable development policy. The article examines the land-sea freight transport chains in terms of the EU's sustainable development goals on the example of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship (ZV), Poland. The region was selected owing to two key factors. First, the transport chains across the region are typical for many European areas. Second, the region itself has experienced intensive development of the Transport, Shipping and Logistics (TSL) sector and a numer of changes in freight flows for several years. The main goal of the article was to identify the possibility of reducing external costs resulting from the use of combined transport solutions in ZV. Two case studies were analyzed for this purpose. In both of them, the assumed effect was the reduction of external costs of freight transport in ZV. The potential reduction of external costs generated by cargo transport in ZV was estimated on the basis of the European methodology in terms of the amount of external costs generated by individual modes and means of transport. The research showed that the implementation of combined transport in ZV can bring measurable benefits to the region. The analyses also allowed for the identification of technical and organizational activities that are crucial for ZV and make it possible to reduce negative transport effects.

    The article is related to urban transport systems. The authors focus on solutions that will positively influence the problem of excessive noise or pollution generated in cities through transport activities. They refer to existing single initiatives, but also demonstrate the need for complex solutions that integrate solutions into a single system that enables the use of various means of transport through organizational and ICT solutions. The aim of the article was to present a review of selected solutions that could reduce the harmful effects of transport, which can be used to improve the environmental performance of urban transport systems.
    Artykuł poświęcony został tematyce miejskich systemów transportowych. W pracy skupiono się na rozwiązaniach, które mają pozytywnie wpłynąć na problemy nadmiernego hałasu czy zanieczyszczeń powstałych w miastach poprzez działalność transportową. Autorzy odnieśli się do istniejących już pojedynczych inicjatyw ale także ukazali potrzebę zastosowania rozwiązań kompleksowych, których zadaniem jest integracja rozwiązań w jeden system umożliwiający korzystanie z różnych środków transportu poprzez rozwiązania organizacyjne oraz ICT (ang. Information and Communication Technologies). Celem artykułu było zaprezentowanie przeglądu wybranych rozwiązań, które mogą ograniczyć szkodliwy wpływ transportu na wybranych rozwiązań stosowanych w celu poprawy ekologiczności miejskich systemów transportowych.
