W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję systemu informacji o bezpieczeństwie ruchu, który mógłby stanowić rozwinięcie struktury funkcjonalnej wielu z wdrażanych obecnie projektów ITS. Scharakteryzowano strukturę modułów zbierania, przetwarzania i prezentacji danych z wykorzystaniem informacji, magazynowanych w hurtowni danych i przetwarzanych w bazie danych oraz prezentowanych kierowcom i służbom zarządzania ruchem z wykorzystaniem platformy informacyjnej oraz urządzeń ITS zlokalizowanych w układzie drogowym. Przedstawiono ponadto propozycję modelu szacowania stanu bezpieczeństwa ruchu w układzie ulicznym, który w celu określenia stopnia zagrożenia bezpieczeństwa korzystał będzie ze zmiennych, opracowanych na podstawie danych historycznych i danych przetworzonych z wykorzystaniem bazy danych, pozyskanych z systemów detekcji, zlokalizowanych w pasie drogowym.
The paper presents the concept of Information System on Traffic Safety that could be the development of many of the functional structure of ITS projects currently being implemented. The structure of modules for collecting, processing and presenting data using information stored in the data warehouse and processed in a database and presented to drivers and traffic management services using the information platform and ITS devices located in the road system was described. The idea of the model was presented to estimate the safety of traffic in street network using a database.The model, in order to determine the degree of threat to the security of the variables used, will be developed based on historical data and the processed data obtained from the detection systems located in street network.

Artykuł prezentuje wybrane narzędzia informatyczne wykorzystywane do wspomagania usług transportowych na przykładzie firm branży meblarskiej z województwa wielkopolskiego. Na początku krótko scharakteryzowano rolę systemów informatycznych w logistyce transportu. Przedstawiono wybrane programy komputerowe, wspomagające logistykę transportu i ukazano ich zalety dla firm. Następnie przeprowadzono badania na wybranej grupie dziesięciu przedsiębiorstw branży meblarskiej z województwa wielkopolskiego. Przedstawiono badania ankietowe skierowane do pracowników firm, które wykazały przydatność systemów informatycznych wspomagających logistykę transportu. Zaprezentowane wyniki badań wykazują istotność stosowania narzędzi informatycznych w logistyce transportu.
The article includes a presentation of IT tools applied in supporting of transport services on the basis of a furniture manufacturing enterprises, from wielkopolskie province in Poland. At the beginning briefly characterized the role of information systems in logistics transport. Presents some computer programs, support logistics transport and shown their advantages for companies. Then studied in a selected group of ten companies from the furniture industry wielkopolskie province. The paper presents questionnaire surveys sent to employees of companies, that have demonstrated the usefulness of the information systems supporting of transport logistics. The research results presented indicate significance of IT tools application in logistic transport.

Celem artykułu jest ocena wpływu wybranych systemów telematycznych na usprawnienie transportu drogowego w międzynarodowych łańcuchach dostaw. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki trzech badań przeprowadzonych wśród międzynarodowych przedsiębiorstw na temat zastosowania systemów telematycznych. Z badań wynika, iż przedsiębiorstwa korzystające z systemów telematycznych (w szczególności z systemów klasy TMS czy giełd transportowych) osiągają wiele korzyści, m.in. takich jak: optymalizacja tras, śledzenie przesyłek, licytacja i porównywanie cen, szybsze pozyskiwanie zleceniobiorców i zleceniodawców oraz lepsza komunikacja z kontrahentem.
The aim of this study is assessing import of selected telematics systems to improve road transport in international supply chains. The thesis presents the results of three scientific surveys conducted among international companies which are able to using of telematics systems. The research shows that companies are using the telematics systems (alike TMS class systems and freight exchanges) achieve plenty benefits, such as: routes optimizing, trace of shipment, auctions and price comparison, accessible acquisition of contractors and principals as also effectively communication with contractors.

Aplikacje wspomagające zarządzanie systemem transportowym stają się coraz popularniejsze wśród firm z branży transportowej oraz ich klientów (pasażerów). Informatyzacja logistyki transportowej w pozytywny sposób wpływa na redukcję biurokracji, dostępność informacji, skrócenie kanałów wymiany informacji wewnątrz przedsiębiorstwa czy w końcu na poprawę wizerunku firmy i zadowolenia klientów. W artykule zaprezentowano aplikacje wykorzystywane w zachodnich firmach transportowych. Przedstawiono przykłady użycia, funkcjonalność, wady i zalety oraz implementację wybranych aplikacji w przedsiębiorstwie. Skupiono się zarówno na dobrych praktykach, określonych w procesach wdrożeniowych, koniecznych w osiągnięciu realnego sukcesu, jak i na podstawowych czynnikach ludzkich wpływających na odbiór aplikacji. Oceniono użyteczność wybranych aplikacji w kontekście trudności i potencjalnych usprawnień związanych z ich implementacją.
Applications supporting transport system management are becoming increasingly popular among companies in the transport industry and their customers (passengers). The computerisation of transport logistics has a positive impact on the reduction of bureaucracy, information accessibility, speeding up the channels of information exchange within the company and, finally, improving the company’s image and customer satisfaction. This article presents applications used in western transport companies. Examples of use, functionality, advantages and disadvantages and implementation of selected applications in a company are presented. The focus is on both good practices, specified in the implementation processes, necessary to achieve real success, and basic human factors affecting the reception of applications. The functionality of selected applications has been assessed in the context of difficulties and potential improvements related to their implementation.

For almost a decade since joining NATO, the armed forces did not have an information system supporting the management of their own transport system. For military logistics, the implementation and operation of an IT system supporting the work of transport and army forces was of significant importance from the point of view of improving the efficiency of the logistics system. The progressiveness of this article is manifested in the fact that in addition to the characteristics, role and tasks of the system presented in previous studies, the author additionally carried out research, evaluated the functioning and presented directions of development of the IT system code named CONVOY. The significance of the system has even increased since NATO decided to strengthen its eastern flank in 2016. Consequently, this has resulted in an increased number of convoys on the roads that must be accompanied by competent transport and troop movement in order to be there. IT system CONVOY allows this process to be speeded up by electronic reconciliation, development and issuance of road traffic permits and monitoring them in real time.

Wdrażane od 2008 r. w transporcie kolejowym, obowiązkowe systemy zarządzania wynikające z wymagań prawnych, bardzo często (szczególnie w pierwszych latach wdrażania wymagań) funkcjonowały niezależnie od stosowanego fakultatywnie podejścia procesowego – normy ISO. Obecnie powszechną praktyką stała się integracja wymagań zarówno w obszarze obowiązkowym, jak i dobrowolnym. Wymagania i zalecenia prawne nie definiują i nie zalecają konkretnej formy poszerzania istniejących już systemów zarządzania. Rozporządzenie KE 402/2013 w artykule 3 pkt 7 definiuje jedynie obowiązek interakcji pomiędzy systemami (interfejsy oznaczają wszystkie punkty interakcji podczas cyklu życia systemu lub podsystemu). W publikacji opisano zależności pomiędzy wymaganiami w zakresie stosowanych obecnie w kolejnictwie systemów zarządzania wynikających z wymagań prawnych (System Zarządzania Bezpieczeństwem – SMS) i dobrowolnych wdrożeń (System Zarządzania Jakością i Zarządzania Środowiskowego).
The mandatory management systems implemented since 2008 in rail transport resulting from legal requirements, very often (especially in the first years of implementing the requirements) functioned independently of the optional procedural approach – ISO standard. Currently, integration of requirements in both the mandatory and voluntary areas has become common practice. Legal requirements and recommendations do not define or recommend any specific form of extending the existing management systems. Regulation EC 402/2013 in Article 3 point 7 defines only the obligation of interaction between systems (interfaces mean all interaction points during the system or subsystem life cycle). The publication describes the relationship between the requirements in the field of management systems currently used in the railway system resulting from legal requirements (Safety Management System – SMS) and voluntary implementations (Quality Management and Environmental Management System).

Dynamically implemented mandatory management systems resulting from legal requirements in maritime transport since 2006 [1-3], very often (especially in the first years of implementing the requirements) functioned independently by the optional procedural approach - ISO [4-5]. It is now common practice to integrate requirements in both - the mandatory and voluntary areas. Legal requirements and recommendations do not define and recommend a specific form of extending existing management systems. The publication describes the relationship between the requirements for the management systems currently applicable in maritime transport resulting from legal requirements (Safety Management System - SMS) and voluntary implementations (Quality Management and Environmental Management System). The common areas identified for the analysis of system requirements (for obligatory and optional systems) will facilitate the integration and broadening of the management culture in maritime transport organizations.

W artykule omówiony został sposób doboru środków transportu publicznej komunikacji zbiorowej do tras komunikacyjnych, począwszy od planowania układu komunikacyjnego, czyli zapoznania się z infrastrukturą poprzez odpowiedni dobór środków transportu komunikacji zbiorowej z taboru, którym dysponuje dane miasto. Omówione zostały również rodzaje taboru i czynniki jakie powinny zostać spełnione, aby dany środek transportu mógł optymalnie obsługiwać wybraną trasę.
The way of selection of means of public transport to communication routes was discussed in this article. Starting from planning transport network, that is, familiarizing with infrastructure through proper selection of means of public transport that a given city possesses. The types of means of transport and conditions that must be met to start a given means of transport were also discussed.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest zastosowanie podejścia „smart city” w transportowym systemie Lwowa. Zdefiniowano filozofię „smart city” oraz przedstawiono główne cechy inteligentnych miast. Artykuł zawiera analizę głównych problemów systemu transportowego we Lwowie oraz propozycje w zakresie rozwoju tego systemu w kierunku miasta inteligentnego. Brak koordynacji pomiędzy strukturami, które kształtują układ komunikacyjny miasta jest jednym z kluczowych zagadnień. Przedstawiono rezultaty projektu „Smart city Lviv” w 2015 roku w obszarze transportu. „Smart” ludzie we Lwowie zwiększają potencjał miasta jako inteligentnego. Analiza badania socjologicznego, przeprowadzonego w 2013 roku pozwoliła na wyodrębnienie głównych problemów powiązanych z przemieszczaniem ludzi w mieście oraz na ocenę jakości miejskich przewozów transportem zbiorowym. W artykule wymieniono pozytywne strony i tendencje w rozwoju systemu transportowego miasta oraz innowacyjne rozwiązania. Zaprezentowano system zarządzania ruchem we Lwowie, z priorytetem dla transportu zbiorowego, który pozwolił na lepsze zorganizowanie ruchu pojazdów, wzrost jakości przewozów tramwajami na liniach z priorytetem oraz monitorowanie ruchu na skrzyżowaniach i w jego wyniku – wzrost bezpieczeństwa. Autor prezentuje propozycje w zakresie rozwoju transportu zbiorowego oraz promocji wykorzystania rowerów w podróżach, jako wyniku realizowanego projektu „Smart city Lviv”. Niektóre z tych propozycji już zostały zrealizowane.
The article is dedicated to the analysis of application of the “smart city” approach in the Lviv transport system. The definition of "smart city" and its main features are presented. The article includes the analysis of major problems in Lviv transport system and provides suggestions for the development of this system on the way to the smart city approach. Lack of coordination between the structures in Lviv transport system is one of the key issues. Article presents the results of "Smart city Lviv" project held in 2015 in the sphere of transport system. "Smart" people in Lviv increase the potential of the Lviv as a smart city. Sociological research conducted in 2013 helped to distinguish the main issues of people’s travels in the city and the assessment of the quality of urban public transport. The positive aspects and trends in the development of Lviv transport system and innovative solutions are presented in the article. Traffic management system with priority for public transport in Lviv is described. It leads to better traffic management, increase of the quality of public transport and safety. Proposals for the development of public transport and promoting the use of bicycles for travel have been given as the result of implemented of the "Smart city Lviv" project. Some of them have been already implemented.

Wymagania stawiane obecnie operatorom transportu zbiorowego na świecie nie ograniczają się już tylko do zapewnienia wysokiej jakości usług. Coraz częściej wiodącym kryterium funkcjonowania firm transportowych staje się bezpieczeństwo przewozu. Wynika to nie tylko z wymagań stawianych przez jednostki samorządowe zawiadujące transporrem, ale również z coraz wyższej świadomości społecznej, która po zamachach terrorystycznych stawia bezpieczeństwo na pierwszym miejscu. Najbardziej bezpieczne rodzaje transportu zbiorowego (lotniczy i kolejowy) od kilku lat funkcjonują - zgodnie z wymaganiami wprowadzonymi poprzez dyrektywy europejskie - w oparciu o zbudowane i wdrożone w przedsiębiorstwach przewozowych Systemy Zarządzania Bezpieczeństwem (Safety Management System - SMS). Wymagania te nie obejmują jednak najliczniejszego transportu zbiorowego opartego na przewozie tramwajowym i autobusowym. W publikacji przedstawiono możliwości adaptacji stosowanych już w transporcie rozwiązań do zastosowania w tych najbardziej popularnych transportowych środkach technicznych.
Requirements, which are nowadays posed in front of the operators' of public transport worldwide, are no longer limited only to assure the high quality of services. More and more often the leading criterion for transport companies running is transport safety. It results not only from a demand to live up to a standard performed by the local authorities responsible for transport , but also from the growing and more sensitive social awareness which after terrorist attacks gives priority to the safety and security. For several years, the most secure types of public transport i.e. air and railway transport are being run in accordance with the requirements introduced through the European directives - based on the Safety Management Systems (SMS), constructed and implemented in transport companies. These demands do not comprise however, the most frequent services of public transport based on the tramway and buses carriages. In the article the possibilities of adaptation of the solutions that are already applied in transport also in these most popular technical means of transport have been presented.

The purpose of the article is to present the integrated sustainable freight transport system dedicated for city clusters. The presented concept and calculation model is the result of a broader study on the effectiveness of production and transport systems in urban areas. The integrated sustainable freight transport system described in this paper serves multi-floor manufacturing clusters and therefore meets two efficiency requirements: technological integration and process sustainability. The integration of in-house transport system servicing multi-floor manufacturing building and supply chain deliveries to/from logistic node is based on efficient use of Intelligent Reconfigurable Trolleys (IRTs). The calculation model of integrated freight transport system allows for the quantitative matching of key elements of the transport system to the multi-floor manufacturing cluster needs. Properly selected and functionally integrated elements of proposed transport system allows to minimize losses and reduce the negative impact of transport on the environment.

Implementation of security objectives is conditioned by fast access to reliable and up-to-date information about processes occurring within the Safety Management Systems. The amount of information and the speed of changes taking place in the environment makes it necessary to introduce a system of information management and channels of their flow not only within the organization, but also in communication with third parties. Proper management of information resources increases the efficiency and effectiveness of SMS functioning. The article presents the possibility of a formalized description of the flow of external and internal information in a well-functioning Railway Operator Safety Management System. Analogous maps can be identified for infrastructure managers, defining key elements of its functioning.
