This work is a continuation of thoughts about the use of waste aggregates for producing ready-mixed concretes commonly used in communication engineering. Special attention was paid to the economic aspects of this issue. Authors point out the issue of the relatively high costs of obtaining recycled aggregates, their lack in uniformity, and the need for using more complex technological processes causing an increase in the cost of commodity production.

Zagadnienie wtórnego wykorzystania materii nieorganicznej, które dotyka w szczególności wielkie aglomeracje miejskie koncentruje się w ostatnich latach na racjonalnej gospodarce odpadami budowlanymi. Zagadnienie to nie omija również budowlanych materiałów ceramicznych. Wyroby ceramiczne są materiałem dość specyficznym. Proces ich produkcji nie jest odwracalny. Zachodzące podczas niego reakcje wiązań ceramicznych nie są możliwe do powtórnego przeprowadzenia, przez co wyroby te nie mogą wrócić do pierwotnej produkcji tak jak to dzieję się np. z wyrobami stalowymi. Ceramikę cechuje również brak możliwości bioutylizacji, którą można stosować w przypadku budowlanych odpadów organicznych (np. drewno). Wyroby ceramiczne są trwałe i niebiodegradowalne. Rosnący popyt na wyroby ceramiczne sprawia natomiast, że wraz ze wzrostem ich produkcji odnotowuje się wzrost ilości odpadów deponowanych na wysypiskach oraz na nielegalnych, samowolnych składowiskach odpadów budowlanych. Przemysł komunikacyjny i budowa wszelkiego typu budowli i obiektów inżynierskich w budownictwie transportowym pochłania znaczne ilości betonu, jako podstawowego składnika budulcowego. Wykorzystanie w odpowiednich miejscach do produkcji betonu odpadowej materii ceramicznej mogłoby sprawić że przemysł komunikacyjny stałby się utylizatorem niechcianej zużytej materii ceramicznej. W artykule przedstawiono ceramikę, jako materiał - jej podstawowe cechy oraz podział. Dokonano przeglądu wyników prac, w których autorzy badają betony wykonane na bazie odpadowych kruszyw ceramicznych. Na podstawie analizy porównawczej zarówno cech kruszyw jak i wymagań stawianych betonom używanym w różnych zastosowaniach budownictwa transportowego opracowano zestawienie możliwych zastosowań kruszyw ceramicznych do stosowania w budowlach i obiektach inżynierskich budownictwa transportowego.
The issue of secondary use of inorganic matter that particularly affects large cities focused in recent years on the rational management of construction waste. The issue is not unknown in the construction ceramic materials. Ceramic products are the material quite specific. The process of production is not reversible. Reactions occurring during its ceramic bonds are not possible to reperform, so that these products can not be returned to the original production like this happens, eg. of steel products. Ceramics are characterized by the inability to bioutylizacji which can be used for the construction of organic waste (eg. Wood). Ceramic products are durable and non-biodegradable. The growing demand for ceramic products makes, however, that with the in-crease in production recorded an increase in the amount of waste deposited in landfills and illegal, unauthorized construction waste landfills. Industry of communication and construction of all types of buildings and civil engineering construction for transport industry consumes many tons of concrete as the basic constituent component. The use of appropriate places for the production of concrete waste ceramic material could make the communications industry would become consumed utylizator unwanted ceramic material. The article presents ceramics as a material - its basic features and divisions. A review of the results of studies in which the authors examine concrete made on the basis of waste ceramic aggregates. The comparative analysis of both the characteristics of aggregates and requirements posed concretes used in various applications of construction of the transport developed Summary of possible applications of ceramic aggregate for use in building and in construction engineering objects transport.

Artykuł przedstawia zagadnienia dotyczące przewozu kruszywa budowlanego w transporcie drogowym. Artykuł ukierunkowany jest przede wszystkim na przedstawienie zagadnień związanych z samą organizacją i realizacją transportu kruszywa budowlanego poprzez wszystkie jego etapy: załadunek, przewóz materiału oraz rozładunek.
With the development of the road transport industry, a certain tendency may be taught in which the carrier becomes a specialist in a particular type of cargo. More and more transport companies resign from the diversity of rolling stock in favour of specializing in transport of one type of cargo, e.g. transport of refrigerated cargo, oversized transport, transport of bulk cargo, etc. Carriers orientating them-selves to a specific type of cargo become professionals in their fields. Customers are very eager to use the services of companies that are professionals in their industry so that the goods purchased by them will reach them according to the 7W logistics principle - the right product, the right quantity, the right condition, the right place, the right time, the right customer and the right cost. The article presents the issues related to the transport of construction aggregates in road transport. The article is aimed primarily at presenting issues related to the organization and implementation of transport of construction aggregates through all its stages: loading, transporting material and unloading

W pracy przedstawiono charakterystykę konstrukcyjno-technologiczną pierwszego w Polsce tunelu tramwajowego w Krakowie. Tunel (1538 m) wraz ze stacjami stanowi element pierwszej w Krakowie linii szybkiego tramwaju. Tunel, będący budowlą płytką, ma niejednolitą konstrukcję. Na odcinku południowo-wschodnim zastosowano przekrój jednokomorowy, wykonywany w kilku technologiach. Pod ulicą Lubomirskiego wykorzystano Metodę Mediolańską. Ściany pionowe konstrukcji wykonano w postaci palisad z pali wierconych wielkich średnic, natomiast strop jest konstrukcją żelbetową monolityczną. Przy wylocie tunelu przy Rondzie Mogilskim wykorzystano technologię ścian szczelinowych. Odcinek w obrębie Dworca Kraków Główny (poziom -3) oraz pod ulicą Rakowicką wykonano techniką odkrywkową. Odcinek północno-zachodni, o konstrukcji dwukomorowej, monolitycznej wykonano Metodą Hamburską, zabezpieczając ściany wykopów kotwionymi ścianami berlińskimi. Stację "Politechnika" realizowano metodą odkrywkową, w wykopie pod osłoną kotwionych ścian berlińskich, natomiast stacja "Dworzec Główny" została wykonana w wykopie szerokoprzestrzennym. Podano również informacje o zastosowanych w tunelu systemach gwarantujących wysoki poziom bezpieczeństwa eksploatacji obiektu.
Structural and technological characteristic of the first tram tunnel in Poland (Cracow) is presented in the paper. The tram tunnel (1538 m length) together with stations belong to the first fast tram line in Cracow. Shallow tunnel has non uniform structure. Single chamber cross section was used at south-east part of tunnel, built with various methods of construction. Milan method was applied under Lubomirskiego Street. Vertical walls were made using secant piles (big diameters) and the ceiling is monolithic (reinforced concrete deck). Diaphragm walls were used at the end part of tunnel near Mogilskie traffic-circle. Part of the tunnel under main railway station as well as under Rakowicka street was built in open excavation. Hamburg method with Berlin walls was effective for western part of tunnel (along Pawia street). "Politechnika" station was erected in open excavation with Berlin walls for vertical temporary soil support. In the case of "Dworzec Główny" station open wide excavation without soil protection was used for erection of underground part of structure. Finally, information on applied safety systems in tunnel are given.

The approaches to managing our road transportation infrastructure are not sustainable. A sustainable road transport infrastructure must meet the needs of present road users and give allowance to accommodate future developments. There is a gap between expected life span of roads in Nigeria and actual life span after putting the infrastructure into use. This paper examined the reasons government cannot repair roads in Nigeria, identify the challenges faced by the construction companies while on road construction projects and the effects of bad roads on national sustainable development. Ministry of Works and Transport, Ibadan and ad hoc staff of two major construction companies Reynolds Construction Company (RCC) and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) were purposively selected based on the number of roads they have constructed in South-western Nigeria. Principal Component Analysis was used to identify the various factors that are responsible for the inability of government to construct and repair roads. Descriptive analysis was used to explain the challenges of construction companies and also the effects of bad road on national development. The findings identified 20 factors that are responsible for the inability of government to construct and maintain roads which were reduced into eight components. Some challenges in road construction are erosion, inadequate skilled labour, capital for equipment, funding, user’s problem and machinery repairs. The effects of bad roads include: road crashes (27%), high vehicle maintenance cost (21%), capital flight (17%), passengers’ discomfort (14%), high transportation cost (11%) and drivers’ fatigue (10%). The study concluded that, there should be standardized procedure for road construction projects in the form of: penalty for failure to meet the required deadline, quality, usage and rehabilitation in order to achieve sustainable development

W artykule omówiony został problem wibroizolacji kanałów włazowych jako elementu konstrukcyjnego dróg i jego wpływ na rozprzestrzenianie się fali drganiowej do otoczenia drogi samochodowej. Przedstawiono analizę dynamiczną modelu o strukturze dyskretno-ciągłej oraz model numeryczny oraz wstępne wyniki z symulacji tego modelu.
The article discusses the problem of vibration of channels manhole as a structural element of roads and its influence on the propagation of the vibration wave to the surroundings from the road. The dynamic analysis of a discrete-continuous model and numerical model with preliminary results from the simulation of these models are presented.

The article presents the construction of an inter-level shaft between levels II lower and level III and equipping it with a transport system. The purpose of the project was to provide transport of loose materials and long items from level III to level II lower, which was necessary to secure the mining excavations. Before the investment, only a limited amount of materials could be transported manually by means of ramps.

This article presents selected issues related to the design methodology of the electric brakes during the construction process as well as other factors which are important in the design process. It is a very important issue due to affect on the airplane and automotive brake design. Nowadays when new solution of brakes is being designed there is a need to take into account various factors influencing the design such as: weight, compatibility and flexibility of use in various aircraft, reliability and durability, ease of installation and maintenance, low-cost operation and low cost components, braking efficiency, short braking distance. All of these factors are taken into account when designing a prototype of the electric brake as well as economical factor of the design. It is also necessary to verify the design during its creation using experimental and laboratory test data from other similar designs. The aim of the paper is to discuss design process from the very beginning (i.e. by comparing features of the electric brakes with other types of brakes in order to show advantages and disadvantages of chosen solution) to the creation of a working demonstrator in future. Author of the paper in his electric brake design bases on the experience of the Warsaw’s Institute of Aviation Landing Gear Department.

This article presents the planned fore-shaft construction between the 2nd upper and 2nd lower levels equipped with a hoisting device for materials transportation. The main aim of this venture was to create a means of transporting materials used in the process of protecting and maintaining the Crystal Grotto. There is currently no vertical connection between the 2nd upper and 2nd lower level. As a result, all material transportation is performed manually over the incline paths.

The main topic of this article is the construction of a railway bogie, which was used in authors concept of suspended rail vehicle. Firstly, the vehicle was briefly described with particular consideration of the parameters determining the bogie design. Subsequently, constructional solutions were described in terms of individual bogie subassemblies, like: wheelsets, bogie frame, two stage suspension, propulsion and brake systems. This article is based on authors’ master thesis: „The concept of suspended railway engine wagon”, conducted on Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Gdansk University of Technology.
Niniejsza publikacja została poświęcona szczegółowemu opisowi wózka, przeznaczonego do wykorzystania w proponowanej przez autorów koncepcji podwieszanego pojazdu szynowego. W pierwszej kolejności skrótowo opisano rzeczony pojazd, ze szczególnym naciskiem na parametry determinujące konstrukcję wózków. Następnie zostały omówione zastosowane rozwiązania konstrukcyjne w zakresie budowy poszczególnych podzespołów wózka, takich jak: zestawy kołowe, rama, dwustopniowe usprężynowanie, układ napędowy i hamulcowy. Artykuł ten powstał na podstawie pracy dyplomowej pt. „Koncepcja wagonu silnikowego kolei podwieszanej”, na wydziale Mechanicznym Politechniki Gdańskiej.

Opis:
This article presents the planned fore-shaft construction between the 2nd upper and 2nd lower levels equipped with a hoisting device for materials transportation. The main aim of this venture was to create a means of transporting materials used in the process of protecting and maintaining the Crystal Grotto. There is currently no vertical connection between the 2nd upper and 2nd lower level. As a result, all material transportation is performed manually over the incline paths.
W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję budowy szybiku materiałowego pomiędzy poziomem II niższym i II wyższym oraz wyposażenie go we wciągnik do transportu materiałów. Celem przedsięwzięcia jest zapewnienie drogi transportowej dla materiałów koniecznych do wykonania zabezpieczenia szeroko rozumianego rejonu Grot Kryształowych. Aktualnie nie ma połączenia pomiędzy poziomami IIn i IIw wyrobiskiem transportowym pionowym. Transport materiałów w ograniczonym zakresie odbywa się ręcznie pochylniami.

W artykule został omówiony proces kształtowania jakości transportu towarowego realizowanego na potrzeby przedsięwzięć budowlanych w kontekście wybieranych przez przedsiębiorstwa strategii zaopatrzenia. Przedsiębiorstwa realizujące inwestycje budowlane spotykają się z różnego rodzaju problemami. Jednym z tych problemów jest funkcjonowanie łańcucha dostaw. Dostawy budowlane jako część tego łańcucha są słabym punktem ze względu na trudności zarówno organizacyjne, jak i problemy jakościowe. W artykule przedstawiono analizę rozwiązań wykorzystywanych w realizacjach dostaw budowlanych na terenie miasta Szczecin oraz podjęto próbę analizy procesu kształtowania jakości tych dostaw.
The article discusses the process of shaping the quality of freight transport implemented for the needs of construction projects in the context of supply strategies selected by enterprises. Enterprises that carry out construction investments face different types of problems. One of these problems is the functioning of the supply chain. Building supplies as part of this chain are a weak point due to both organizational and quality problems. The article presents an analysis of solutions used in the implementation of construction supplies in the city of Szczecin and an attempt was made to analyze the process of shaping the quality of these deliveries.

The organization of railway traffic is a complex decision-making problem. Its complexity results from the multiplicity of problems and from the number of factors, which should be considered. Amongst the research areas, concerning the organization of railway traffic construction of rational train timetable is taking the essential place. In the article was described technical-organizational conditioning of the construction of graphic train timetable. We presented mathematical models of the construction of train timetable, in which we took into account-selected boundary conditions. A way of solving a problem was presented also. Issues of the construction of the graphic train timetable, technical-organizational conditioning of the construction of the graphic train timetable, the organization of the rail traffic and the formalization of the record of the construction of the graphic, boundary conditions and indicators of the quality assessment of the solution, the areas of research concerning the problem of the organization of railway traffic, correct preparing of the graphic timetable, mathematical model are presented in the paper. Introduced in outline mathematical model allows for pathing of trains on the graphic timetable in compliance with priorities of pathing.
