    Artykuł stanowi drugą część publikacji wyników badań kosztowych przeprowadzonych w polskich przedsiębiorstwach międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego przewożących głównie w relacjach z rynkami krajów położonych poza wschodnią granicą Polski. Pierwszy artykuł dotyczył średnich jednostkowych kosztów w zbadanych przedsiębiorstwach operujących głównie na rynkach UE. Zaprezentowano charakterystykę statystyczną zbadanych przedsiębiorstw według ich grup wielkości wyznaczonej liczbami eksploatowanych samochodów ciężarowych. Przedstawiono kształtowanie się średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu samochodów ciężarowych powyżej 12,0 Mg dmc w zbadanych przedsiębiorstwach w 2017 r. według ich wielkości oraz podano średnie ważone koszty jednostkowe dla całej zbadanej zbiorowości. Wyspecyfikowano główne koszty rodzajowe. Zilustrowano kształtowanie się zbadanych w 2017 r. kosztów jednostkowych z kosztami z lat 2009 – 2016. Zaprezentowano strukturę rodzajową średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu w 2017 r. według badań ITS.
    The article represents second part of the publication of the results of cost studies conducted at the Polish enterprises of international freight transport, operating mainly on the routes to the markets of countries located outside Poland’s eastern border. The first article concerned the average unit costs in the examined enterprises operating mainly on the EU markets. The statistical characteristics of the examined enterprises were presented according to their size groups determined by the numbers of used trucks. Shown is the average cost of vehicle - kilometre of mileage for the trucks of 12.0 Mg GVW at the surveyed enterprises in 2017 arranged by their size and weighted average unit costs for the entire surveyed population. The main generic costs have been specified. The evolution of the unit costs examined in 2017 with the costs from 2009-2016 was illustrated. Structure of the average costs per 1 vehicle-kilometre of the mileage in 2017 according to ITS survey was presented.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań koniunktury w ciężarowym transporcie samochodowym w Polsce. Badania te, prowadzone od 1997 r. w Instytucie Transportu Samochodowego, bazują na danych pozyskiwanych z ankiet rozsyłanych w odstępach kwartalnych do przedsiębiorstw realizujących krajowe i międzynarodowe przewozy ładunków. Wyniki dostarczają informacji o bieżącej sytuacji firm transportowych, jak i spodziewanych jej zmianach w kolejnych kwartałach.
    This paper provides some results of business survey in road freight transport in Poland. These studies, conducted since 1997 at Motor Transport Institute, base on quarterly data obtained from questionnaires distributed among selected national and international transport firms. The results provide information about the current and projected situation of transport companies.

    Artykuł stanowi pierwszą część [1] publikacji wyników badań kosztowych prowadzonych w polskich przedsiębiorstwach międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego, przedsiębiorstwach operujących głównie na rynkach krajów UE. Przedstawiono kształtowanie się średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu pojazdów powyżej 12,0 Mg dmc w zbadanych przedsiębiorstwach w 2017 r. (według wielkości przedsiębiorstw) oraz średnie ważone koszty dla całej zbadanej zbiorowości. Przy tym wyszczególniono główne rodzaje kosztów oraz podano dla ilustracji kształtowanie się powyższych zbadanych w ITS kosztów jednostkowych w latach 2009 – 2016. Zilustrowano strukturę rodzajową średnich kosztów 1 wozokilometra przebiegu w przedmiotowym zakresie w 2017 r.
    The article is the first part [1] of the publication on cost studies results conducted at the Polish international freight transport enterprises, operating mainly on the EU countries markets. The statistical characteristics of the surveyed enterprises were presented according to their size groups determined by the numbers of trucks used. Shown is the average cost of 1 vehicle-kilometre of mileage for the vehicles over 12.0 Mg MAW in the surveyed enterprises in 2017 (by size of enterprises) and weighted average costs for the entire surveyed collectivity. At the same time, the main types of costs were listed and the unit costs examined at ITS for the years 2009-2016, were outlined for illustrations. The generic structure of the average costs of 1 vehicle-kilometre of mileage in the scope in question, was illustrated for the 2017.

    The article represents the third part of the publication of cost study results conducted at the Polish international truck transport companies and covering the results for 2017, presented against the background of costs for the years 2009 - 2016. The first article, placed in No. 2/2018 of the ITS quarterly, concerned average unit costs and their generic structure at the surveyed enterprises operating mainly on the EU markets. The second article, included in the No. 3/2018 of the ITS quarterly, concerned the development of the unit costs at the enterprises operating transport services mainly on the routes with the countries located outside Poland’s eastern border. This publication compares the average unit costs and transport rates at the surveyed enterprises operating mainly on the EU market and enterprises usually conducting transport services on the routes to the markets of countries located outside Poland’s eastern border.

    Do prognozowania pracy przewozowej międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego wykorzystano oryginalną metodę ekspercką wzajemnych oddziaływań zdarzeń. Zadaniem wybranych ekspertów, zarówno ze środowisk akademickich, jak praktyków branży transportowej było określenie wpływu różnorakich zdarzeń o charakterze gospodarczym i politycznych na kształtowanie się przedmiotowej pracy przewozowej polskich przedsiębiorstw w perspektywie 2030 r. Wariantowa prognoza opracowana została na podstawie uzyskanych drogą ankietową prawdopodobieństw warunkowych zdarzeń, z przygotowanej listy zdarzeń. Dodatkowo przedstawiono wyniki prognozowania przy wykorzystaniu metody trendu czasowego z lat 2005 – 2016.
    The original expert method of the events interactions was used to forecast the haulage work of the international freight transport. The task of selected experts, both from the academics and practitioners of the transport industry was to determine the impact of various economic and political events on the shaping of the said haulage work of Polish enterprises until 2030. The variant forecast was based on the probabilities of conditional events obtained from the questionnaire, from the prepared list of events. Additionally, the forecasting results are presented using the time trend method from the years 2005 - 2016.

Część I - transport towarowy” przedstawiono w syntetycznej formie przebieg procesów przekształceniowych w ciężarowym transporcie samochodowym, które w okresie zaledwie ćwierćwiecza przekształciły mało efektywny i nieprzystający ani ilościowo, ani jakościowo do występujących potrzeb przewozowych, w ogromnej części państwowy transport samochodowy w podstawowy element nowoczesnego systemu transportowego kraju odpowiadający za realizację blisko 85% przewozów i ok. 75% pracy przewozowej całego polskiego transportu lądowego.
    The article based on the results of the statutory work, No. 6411 /ZDO, being carried out, entitled: “Transport implications of the quarter of a century market economy in Poland. Part I - freight transport", presents in a synthetic form the course of transformation processes in the freight road transport, which within just a quarter of a century has transformed itself from inefficient and neither quantitatively or qualitatively unsuitable to the present transportation needs, largely state-owned, road transport; into the essential element of a modern transport system of the country, responsible for conducting nearly 85% of haulage and approx. 75% of haulage work of the entire Polish land transport.

    This paper summarizes the results of analysis of business activity in road transport in 2014. Evaluations of the activities of transport companies were based on the analysis of economic indicators in the national and international transport and the economic condition index. The key indicators forecasts were formulated for the next two years using the mixed (combined) method forecasting.It also includes the forecasts of basic business activity indicators for next two years.

    The article is the next part of the cyclical publications of the Department of Economic Research in the field of cost analysis of the Polish international freight transport companies. It summarises and comparative assessments of the average unit costs of these companies for 2020 in relation to the results of the previous period. The survey involved both carriers operating on the eastern markets and in the European Union countries. The article presents the statistical characteristics of the undertakings surveyed, taking into account their size, determined on the basis of the number of the fleet of heavy goods vehicles operated. It also shows how the average costs of a single hauler (haul meter) for a truck above 12.0 Mg GVW are shaped, according to the size of the companies and taking into account the direction of transport (eastern markets, EU). The generic structure of the costs of the companies examined has been restructured. Presented in tabular and graphic form the evolution of unit costs for both 2020 and the whole period 2009-2020.
    Artykuł stanowi kolejną cześć cyklicznych publikacji Pracowni Ekonomiki i Dostępności Transportu (dawnego Zakładu Badań Ekonomicznych) w zakresie analizy kosztów polskich przedsiębiorstwach międzynarodowego transportu ciężarowego. Dokonano w nim zestawienia i oceny porównawczej średnich kosztów jednostkowych przewoźników międzynarodowych zanotowanych w 2020 roku w odniesieniu do wyników z lat ubiegłych. Badaniem objęto zarówno przedsiębiorstwa obsługujące rynki wschodnie, jak i Unii Europejskiej. Przedstawiono charakterystykę statystyczną badanych podmiotów, z uwzględnieniem ich wielkości, określonej na podstawie liczebności eksploatowanej floty pojazdów ciężarowych. Pokazano również, jak kształtują się średnie koszty jednego wozokilometra (wozokm) przebiegu dla samochodu ciężarowego powyżej 12 Mg dmc, w zależności od wielkości przedsiębiorstwa oraz z uwzględnieniem kierunku przewozu. Analizie poddano również strukturę rodzajową kosztów badanych przewoźników. Przedstawiono w formie tabelarycznej i graficznej kształtowanie się kosztów jednostkowych w 2020 roku w odniesieniu do okresu 2009-2019.

    The article discusses development of the Polish sector of the international freight transport since 2005. Shaping of the haulage work arranged by type of transport and its share in the European market in 2016 has been shown. The figures characterizing the number of international transport companies in Poland and the number of trucks used by them are given. The selected features of enterprises participating in unit cost studies conducted by ITS were characterized. The average costs of 1 vehicle-kilometre of the mileage and generic unit cost in 2016 were presented according to the size groups of the surveyed companies and average unit costs in 2009-2016 in total as well as according to the specified types of costs and the generic structure of average costs of 1 vehicle-kilometre of mileage in 2016.

    Badania koniunktury w ciężarowym transporcie samochodowym prowadzone są w Instytucie Transportu Samochodowego od 1997 roku. Mają one na celu monitorowanie sytuacji w branży transportowej, jak również pozyskiwanie informacji dotyczących przewidywanych zmian tej sytuacji w najbliższej przyszłości. W badaniach tych wykorzystywana jest metoda testu koniunktury umożliwiająca uzyskiwanie wyprzedzających w stosunku do oficjalnej statystyki informacji na temat sytuacji w sektorze transportowym. Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka metodyki badań koniunktury w towarowym transporcie samochodowym, jak również prezentacja syntetycznych ich wyników w okresie po przystąpieniu Polski do Unii Europejskiej. Opracowanie podsumowuje rezultaty badań, szczególnie tych odnoszących się do sytuacji finansowej firm transportowych (zarówno prowadzących działalność krajową, jak i przewozy międzynarodowe), wielkości przewozów, inwestycji, konkurencji, barier utrudniających rozwój.
    Studies of the economic situation in the heavy goods road transport are being conducted at the Motor Transport Institute since 1997. They are aimed at systematic monitoring of the situation in the transport sector, as well as obtaining information regarding anticipated changes in this situation in the near future. These studies incorporate the economic situation test method enabling to obtain anticipatory information, in relation to official statistics, on the situation in the transport sector. The purpose of this article to characterise the methodology of the economic situation in the heavy goods road transport, as well as synthetic presentation of the results and the analysis of the changes in the period before and after the Polish accession to the European Union. Article summarizes the results of research, especially those relating to the financial situation of the transport companies (both operating domestically and internationally), the volume of haulage, investments, competition, barriers hampering the development.

    Zawarte w Białej księdze dla transportu cele dotyczące redukcji do 2050 r. emisji gazów cieplarnianych (GHG) o 60% względem 1990 r., jak również zmniejszenia zużycia ropy naftowej o ok. 70% w stosunku do 2008 r. są zgodne ze strategią zrównoważonego rozwoju oraz koncepcją gospodarki niskoemisyjnej. Realizacja tych celów wymagać będzie skoordynowanych i zdecydowanych działań w odniesieniu do całego systemu transportu, jak również poszczególnych jego rodzajów. Jedną z głównych przesłanek przemawiających za słusznością przyjętej w maju 2014 r. strategii na rzecz ograniczenia emisji GHG i redukcji zużycia paliwa przez pojazdy ciężarowe jest dynamiczny wzrost przewozów towarowych i towarzyszące temu wzrostowi następstwa. Z oceny skutków, która leży u podstaw powyższej strategii wynika, że emisje CO2 pojazdów ciężarowych wzrosły w latach 1990–2013 o ok. 36%. W 2013 r. emisje te stanowiły ok. ¼ emisji transportu ogółem i ok. 5% całkowitych emisji GHG UE. Według prognoz opartych na scenariuszu „braku zmian” w latach 2030-2050 całkowite emisje CO2 pojazdów ciężarowych w Unii Europejskiej (UE) utrzymają się na poziomie podobnym do obecnego, a zatem będą o około 35% wyższe niż w 1990 r. Negatywne skutki zewnętrzne rozwoju transportu ciężarowego przejawiające się m.in. antropogenicznymi zmianami klimatu czy nieefektywną gospodarką paliwami wskazują na pilną potrzebę podjęcia działań na rzecz złagodzenia tych skutków. Wykorzystując duży potencjał rozwiązań technologicznych wskazano, że pojazdy ciężarowe mogą w znaczący sposób obniżyć swoje potrzeby energetyczne i towarzyszące im poziomy emisji CO2.
    Aims, which are included in White Book concerning transport, regarding reduction of the greenhouse-gases’ emission till 2050 by 60% in comparison in 1990 and goals regarding decreasing of the oil’s consumption by about 70% compared with 2008 are true to the sustainable development strategy and to the concept of low-emission economy. The coordinated and unhesitating actions concerning the whole transport sector, as well as the given types of transport sector, will be needed in order to achieve these goals. One of the most important arguments in favor of the strategy’s rightness, which was accepted in May 2014 and concerned the reduction of the greenhouse-gases and the reduction of the oil’s consumption by the lorries, is the dynamic growth of the freight carriage and its results. Analyzing the results of this strategy, it was estimated that the CO2 emissions of the lorries have grown by about 36% in 1999-2013. In 2013 these emissions were about ¼ of all transport emissions and about 5% of the all greenhouse-gases’ emission in EU. According to the forecasts, which assume no changes, the whole CO2 emission of the lorries will be at the similar level to the current one. In a consequence these emissions will be by about 35% higher than in 1990. The negative effects of the external truck transport’s development, e.g. climate changes, ineffective fuels’ economy, indicate the urgent need of undertaking actions in order to mitigate these results. Using the big potential of the technological solutions, it was proven that the lorries can significantly decrease their energy needs and emission levels.

    Niniejszy artykuł zawiera wybrane wyniki badań ekonomicznych w Polsce. Badania te, prowadzane od 1997 roku w Instytucie Transportu Samochodowego, oparte są na danych kwartalnych zebranych w kwestionariuszach dystrybuowanych pośród wytypowanych krajowych i międzynarodowych firm transportowych. Wyniki zawierają informacje o aktualnej i przewidywanej sytuacji firm transportowych, w szczególności o barierach blokujących i utrudniających rozwój i efektywność wspomnianych firm. Wnioski z wyników badań koniunktury oraz prognozy oparte na nich mogą okazać się pomocne dla właścicieli firm transportowych przy podejmowaniu bieżących decyzji, zaś organom decyzyjnym mogą pomóc w wyborze właściwego sposobu wpływania na rynek transportowy lub w próbie zapobiegania wszelkim negatywnym zjawiskom.
    This paper provides some results of business survey in road freight transport in Poland. These studies, conducted since 1997 at Motor. Transport Institute, base on quarterly data obtained from questionnaires distributed among selected national and international transport firms. The results provide information about the current and projected situation of transport companies, especially about the barriers which inhibit and limit the development and efficiency of mentioned firms. The conclusions from the economic situation research results, as well as predictions established based on them, may turn out to be helpful to the owners of transport companies when making current decisions. The decision-making organs can guide themselves in choosing the proper ways to influence the transport market, or in the attempts being made to prevent all kinds of negative phenomena.

    Public and private stakeholders that operate land border crossings are increasingly concerned about long wait times for trucks crossing from Mexico into the United States. Long wait times are detrimental to the regional competiveness, supply chain operations, the environment in the region adjacent to the border crossings, and to the overall economic development. In order to have reliable and systematic information on border crossing time and delay, a system to measure travel time through the border is required. This paper describes the basic border crossing operations at the Texas/Mexico border that serves as the foundation to identify a technology that could be used to collect border crossing information. The design and deployment processes that were used for the implementation of the border crossing time measurement system for U.S.-bound commercial vehicles are described. The paper also presents the results of the system that was developed to disseminate border crossing and wait time data. Benefits to supply chain operators at land border crossings and next steps in the development of more border-related performance measures are described.

    Paper discussed the application of mass service theory on the example of customs handling of trucks in terminals located in the eastern border of the state. This article mainly shows the assumptions of the mathematical model about the mass-service system, the system state graph and parameters used to evaluate the functioning of the system. The analysis includes a separate area for pre-verification of applications coming into the system. The article shows different technologies related to customs handling.

    Tematem referatu jest automatyzacja pojazdów ciężarowych. Rozpoczęcie stanowi krótki omówienie zagadnienia wraz z historią transportu. Następnie przybliżane są pojęcia „automatyczny” i „autonomiczny” w odniesieniu do pojazdów. W dalszej części referatu przedstawiona jest obecna sytuacja dotycząca automatyzacji w transporcie oraz platooning, by później przejść do przyszłości, gdy wprowadzone zostaną samochody autonomiczne. Względem nich przeprowadzona jest analiza SWOT i znaczenie dla logistyki oraz etyka tego typu rozwiązań.
    The subject of the paper is automation of truck. The beginning is a short introduction and history of the transport. Subsequently, words autonomic and autonomus are defined by transport. In the next part of the paper current situation of automation in transport and platooning are shown, to move forward into the future when autonomous trucks will be introduced. Next, there is SWOT analysis of them, their meaning for logistics and ethics of this type of solutions.

    The objective of the paper was to analyse the level and effectiveness of using delivery trucks and trucks in horticultural farms. The scope of the paper covers delivery trucks and trucks, which constitute the equipment of 60 agricultural farms, which produce vegetables and fruit, located on the territory of Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie Voivodeship. The following, inter alia, was determined: annual use, yield, structure of transport works and the use of capacity. It was determined, inter alia, that in the vegetable farms there are more both delivery trucks and trucks per one farm than in the horticultural farms. The transport efficiency of vehicles in the vegetable farms is lower in comparison to vehicles in the horticultural farms.
    Celem pracy jest analiza poziomu i efektywności wykorzystania samochodów dostawczych i ciężarowych w gospodarstwach ogrodniczych.. Zakresem pracy objęto: samochody dostawcze i ciężarowe stanowiące wyposażenie 60 gospodarstw zajmujących się produkcją warzyw i owoców położonych na terenie województw: świętokrzyskiego i małopolskiego. Określono m. in.: wykorzystanie roczne, wydajność, strukturę prac transportowych, wykorzystanie ładowności. Stwierdzono m. in., że w gospodarstwach warzywniczych występuje większa liczba zarówno samochodów dostawczych jak i ciężarowych w przeliczeniu na jedno gospodarstwo. Wydajność przewozowa samochodów w gospodarstwach warzywniczych jest niższa w porównaniu z samochodami w gospodarstwach sadowniczych.

    In order to conduct analysis for the evaluation of benefits derived from Transport Telematic Services (TTS), supporting decisions about architecture design options, it is necessary to establish a characterization framework. This study identifies potentially relevant TTSs for Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Transport, potential users and domain of usage for the services and present these in a useful framework for conducting analysis toward a holistic understanding of telematic services e.g. impact analysis, benefits analysis etc. An illustrative example employing the framework has been presented.

    The goal of this paper is to analyse the mechanical properties of the weld steel structure of car body truck frames following MAG welding repairs using various filler materials. The main role of welding conditions is connected with filler materials, welding technology, stress state and temperature. In the paper, the properties of steel structures after MAG welding with microjet cooling are presented. Weld metal deposits (WMDs) were prepared by using various welding wires with different chemical compositions. A WMD with various nickel content was examined using three different welding wires; simultaneously, a WMD with varied oxygen content was examined using different gas mixtures for microjet cooling. In this study, the metallographic structure and impact toughness of welded joints were analysed in terms of welding parameters. The amount of acicular ferrite (AF) in WMDs, with various amounts of nickel and oxygen after welding, was tested. The various steel deposits were checked with the variable content of manganese and silicon, as well as nickel. Gas mixtures of argon and carbon dioxide were used for microjet cooling.

    This article highlights the need to rethink how to manage mobility in Morocco more intelligently, given that it is a major pillar of economic competitiveness. Smart mobility based on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) allows to improve and ensure the optimal use of existing infrastructure before embarking on heavy and irreversible infrastructure projects. The case regarding the separation of the urban traffic and the Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) traffic circulating between Casablanca Port and Zenata Dry Port is a relevant example where smart mobility could provide efficient solutions without building costly tunnels. A dynamic simulation was made using the Aimsun software to quantify the relevance of the proposed lane designated to HGV in the existing road. This simulation allows to visualise congestion sections and quantify the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians. The article presents defined functions and characteristics of the Advanced Traffic Management (ATM) to ensure the optimal operation and efficient setting of the simulation. All appliances, hardware, and sensors that will be set up on-site will help to improve traffic safety, traffic flow, traffic information, and reduce congestion and pollution. This case study illustrates the complexity of managing the flow of goods in cities and suggests how to solve this type of problems using smart mobility. This research proposes reserving a special lane for HGV. ITS will help this cost-optimal alternative, will promote the urban framework of the coastal road, and contribute to sustainable mobility in Casablanca.
