    Dainos: the Italian translation of Lithuanian folk songs – This essay presents the first and unique Italian translation of an anthology of Lithuanian folk songs: Canti popolari lituani by Giuseppe Morici. Already published in 1925 (A.R.E., Roma), in 1930 the collection was republished as part of an editorial series – Poesia popolare indoeuropea – dedicated to the tradition of Indo-European folk poetry and edited by Ettore Lo Gatto. The essay is divided into two parts. The first one analyses Morici’s anthology considering its structure and contents, as well as the historical and cultural context in which it was set. The second part focuses on some textual samples indicative of the translation difficulties Morici faced due to structural and semantic differences between the Lithuanian and the Italian languages.

    Der Band enthält die Abstracts ausschließlich in englischer Sprache.
    The main purpose of this paper is to shed some light on language use in the Algerian healthcare settings where a multilingual situation is prevailing. It reports on communication and linguistic barriers that both patients and doctors encounter during medical visits. The Algerian physicians are taught and trained exclusively in French. Thus, they feel more comfortable when they use French as it enables them to be more informative when they speak about symptoms, diagnosis and treatments. Consequently, when they talk to their patients they inevitably use much French and medical terms which are likely to be unintelligible mainly when they address patients who are not bilinguals or have little or no health literacy in the French language. Thus, we suppose that communication problems arise as a result of linguistic barriers which are due to issues related to proficiency levels in some language varieties, mainly French, as it predominates over Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), Algerian Arabic (AA) and the other Algerian local varieties in the Algerian healthcare settings.

    Cet article en se basant sur les résultats d’une analyse comparative des dénominations de perruches en français, allemand et polonais met en relief les difficultés d’un traducteur, notamment lors de choix qu’il doit faire. Pour sélectionner un terme équivalent dans la langue cible, il retrace le chemin dénominatif que le créateur du mot de la langue source a suivi jusqu'à la lexicalisation pour reconnaître la représentation conceptuelle à laquelle il associera la dénomination de la langue cible. La démarche pragmatique du traducteur se rapproche ainsi de celle du créateur.
    This article based on the results of a comparative analysis (French, German, Polish) of denominations of budgerigars points out some difficulties translators have to face, especially when they need to choose between several terms, in either the source language or the target language. To select an equivalent term they ‘redraw’ the way that the creators of words in the compared languages follow right up to lexicalization. The pragmatic process during the search for an equivalent term is thus similar to the search leading to the creation of the word : translation is a kind of re-denomination.
    Na przykładzie analizy porównawczej francuskich, niemieckich i polskich nazw papug ukazane są trudności tłumacza w dokonywaniu wyboru odpowiedniego ekwiwalentu. Aby dokonać wyboru właściwego terminu w języku docelowym, odtwarza przebieg tworzenia nazwy przez jej kreatora w języku wyjściowym, aż do jej leksykalizacji, aby odczytać reprezentację konceptualną do której przypisana będzie nazwa w języku docelowym. Owo ujęcie pragmatyczne tłumacza zbieżnie jest w z ujęciem kreatora nazwy.

    Юридический перевод и перевод правовых документов на язык хинди является одним из наиболее востребованных видов перевода в Российской Федерации. Спрос на услуги переводчиков с языком хинди, постоянно растет. Целью исследования является анализ особенностей перевода правовых документов с русского языка на язык хинди. Предметом данного анализа послужили процессуальные документы, в частности – переводы судебных решений. Задачи исследования включают: а) изучение стилистических характеристик правовых документов при переводе их с русского языка на хинди; б) определение стилистических особенностей перевода этих документов на синтаксическом, морфологическом, лексическом уровнях. Сравнивая два текста и вычленяя конструкции с устойчивыми выражениями на языке оригинала с их переводом на хинди, студенты имеют возможность приобрести навык перевода правовых документов, который, впоследствии, может пригодиться при приеме на работу в структурах российской юрисдикции.
    Przekład sądowy oraz przekład dokumentów sądowych na język hindi wydaje się być jednym z najpopularniejszych obecnie przekładów na obszarze Federacji Rosyjskiej. Przekłada się to na coraz bardziej rosnące zapotrzebowanie na tłumaczy tego języka. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza przekładu dokumentów sądowych z języka rosyjskiego na język hindi. Dla potrzeb niniejszego tekstu posłużono się dokumentami procesowymi a w szczególności uzasadnieniami wyroków/postanowień sądowych. Głównym założeniem tekstu jest a) przebadanie elementów stylistycznych, charakterystycznych dla przekładu dokumentów sądowych z języka rosyjskiego na hindi; b) próba ustalenia cech stylistycznych tychże na poziomie leksykalnym, syntaktycznym i morfologicznym. Dzięki porównaniu dwóch tekstów oraz wyodrębnieniu konstrukcji wyrażeń ustalonych w języku oryginału oraz ich tłumaczeniu na język hindi, studenci zyskują możliwość zapoznania się z przekładem dokumentów sądowych, oraz wykształcić nawyki, które mogą stać się przydatne podczas podejmowania pracy w instytucjach rosyjskich sądów.
    The translation of legal documents from Russian into Hindi is one of the most popular types of translation in the Russian Federation. The demand for translators specializing in this area is increasing. This paper will focus on the translation of legal documents from Russian into Hindi or Hindustani and on analyzing the characteristics of the translation of legal judgments. We are going to investigate the following objectives: a) to explore the stylistic characteristics of legal papers translated from Russian to Hindi; b) to determine the stylistic features of the translation of these documents at the syntactic, morphological, lexical levels. Comparing the two texts and emphasizing the constructions with steady expression in Russian and translating them into Hindi, Russian students may learn how to translate legal documents from Russian to Hindi and vice versa. They may master the translation of legal documents that subsequently may be useful to them while looking for a job in the Russian jurisdiction structures.
