In this paper, we investigated the transient electron population and the transient behaviour of the dispersion, absorption and refractive property of weak probe light in a four-level InGaN/GaN quantum dot nanostructure. In order to achieve the wave functions and their corresponding energy levels of the mentioned quantum dot nanostructure, the Schrödinger and Poisson equations is solved selfconsistently for carriers (here electron) in quantum dot. Our findings show that the properties of transient processes can be dramatically affected by parameters such as intensity, detuning and relative phase of applied fields. Our proposed scheme provides a realistic model for transient control of refraction index properties in a quantum dot nanostructure. These results may have potential applications in high speed optical switch for quantum information technologies.

Opis:
The article considers issues of ensuring sustainable agricultural production by increasing reliability of an irrigation system and water security. The article describes results of hydraulic tests performed at the water outlet with a vertical movement valve member. Resistance coefficients and hydrodynamic effects at the water outlet were determined experimentally. The study developed a method for calculating hydromechanical transient processes in the water outlet at the stop and start of the pump. The paper substantiates the new construction of a water outlet facility with a vertical displacement of the breakdown valve. Such a design better corresponds to peculiarities of the operation of pumping stations and, if there are water pipes of considerable diameter, it has a positive effect on transition hydrodynamic processes by reducing the number of failures and downtime by up to 10%.

The paper discusses the phenomena accompanying switching the sinusoidal excitation of an antenna on and off when the antenna is excited by a train of sinusoids containing several to several hundred periods. Transient phenomena are presented against the background of the resonant properties of the antenna. The processes of turning the antenna on and off take place under different conditions and therefore are different. When the antenna is switched on, the transient processes are determined by the antenna properties and the excitation properties. When the antenna is switched off, excitation is no longer present, and the properties of the antenna determine the transient process. We define a new measure of time: the effective light meter.

The paper presents state–of–the–art in the mechatronics area, describes the comprehensive problems and trends of future development. Some selected issues concerning mechatronic servodrives are discussed, among which attention is paid to gearless drives with linear motors both asynchronous and synchronous and with high-energy permanent magnets. Then the results of steady-state and transient analysis are reported, and positive and negative features of both type of motors are displayed. In the summary the conclusions are formulated and the Authors have stated that currently the mechatronics area covers various spheres of industry and socio-existential human life.

The paper presents a static model of the price calculation for the various alternative electricity sources, and includes technical and economic performance of different energy sources for the guaranteed power. The table with calculated technical and economic indicators for various alternative energy sources is provided. The presented dynamic model which unites energy indicators of power generating systems and economic indicators of the closed macroeconomic system because price regulation on the power market of Ukraine happens in a statics. That’s why not allowed to perform an assessment of dynamic change of the tariff price of the electric power in the local isolated systems. When abrupt change isolated power generating capacity of the system is changing the tariff price of electricity cannot be taken into account when using static models. An example of the isolated system consisting of the diesel generator and the consumer is reviewed. The model allows to research influence of transition processes of the generator on change of cost indicators of an economic system, and also to estimate the adequate tariff price both for the producer, and for consumers of the electric power. This model is modelled in Matlab.

Głównym celem pracy jest przedstawienie analizy doświadczalnych krzywych stężeniowych procesów przejściowych uzyskanych w mieszalniku strumieniowym o nowej konstrukcji. Na podstawie pomiarów wyznaczono współczynnik kowariancji CoV. Otrzymane wyniki uzależniono od warunków hydrodynamicznych wytwarzanych w testowanym mieszalniku.
The study reports on research results in a field of mixing in a novel-design jet mixer. The main objective of this paper is to present residence time distribution measurements for the tested construction. The variation coefficient, CoV, was calculated based on the results obtained. The relationship between this coefficient and hydrodynamic conditions is presented and discussed. Keywords: transient processes, variation coefficient CoV, mixing.
