Opis:
The paper argues for the necessity to combine MMR methods (questionnaire, interview), gaze tracking as neuroscience tool and sentiment/opinion techniques for personal satisfaction analysis at the maritime and training education (MET) and proposes a practical research approach for this purpose. The purpose of this paper is to compare the results from gaze tracker (Face analysis tool) of three experiments & sentiment analysis of two experiments for satisfaction evaluation of the students-users’ (subjective) satisfaction of the maritime education via user interface evaluation of several types of educational software (i.e. engine simulator, ECDIS, MATLAB). The experimental procedure presented here is a primary effort to research the emotion analysis (satisfaction) of the users-students in MET. The gaze tracking & sentiment analysis methodology appears to be one sufficient as evaluation tool. Finally, the ultimate goal of this research is to find and test the critical factors that influence the educational practice and user’s satisfaction of MET modern educational tools (simulators, ECDIS etc.).

Opis:
Modern education opens up broad prospects for the use of the Internet and its applications. Global computer network helps us to cross all limits allowed for the development and transfer of knowledge and to stimulate and create personal skills. Time and distance are no longer an obstacle. Recently, it has also been popularized in the use of online tools for professional work and intellectual and to the education at all levels of education. In this way, teachers are able to adapt teaching tools to the students’ individual needs. Moreover, the aspects of graphical visualization can be more efficient and interesting for students from previously used resources. This paper presents various methods of the Internet in education, and in particular the use of software to solve advanced problems in the art, for example, to calculate transient states. These tools are not only used for training skills or to solve specific tasks but also to shape attitudes and social behavior.

Opis:
The basic idea of this paper is to motivate teachers/instructors of maritime schools and colleges to create interesting and engaging screencasts for teaching students (future seafarers) ECDIS basis, by using new contemporary media and didactical solutions. Camtasia Studio has been proposed as suitable applied software for doing so. It is a multi-media, user-friendly environment, providing the customers with the variety of possibilities for editing PowerPoint presentations with the introduction of audio, video and different animations, in order to make teaching/learning content more interesting and to point out the most important issues. It allows computer screen video capturing, and adding of audio and numerous animated effects to it, as well as augmenting video recordings into the Camtasia project(s). Even though the proposed software tool possesses a broad palette of advanced features for recording and editing “lively” and edifying recordings, within this paper only brief descriptions of “reviving” classical PowerPoint presentations, taking the screen captures over Transas demo ECDIS software, and their editing is presented. Several examples of instructional recordings concerning ECDIS operational basis, and possibility of students’ self-evaluation have been given, too.

Opis:
In the paper, the author presents precise examples and advantages arising from com-puter support, regarding shaping of students skills in the field of constructions of virtual models and their projections. Last years brought large dissemination of virtual methods of creation of engineering objects prototypes. It was possible thanks to high accessibility and capabilities of latest ver-sion of computer software. Computer models are more and more often a starting point while preparing primary drawing parts of technical documentations. On basis of these models fiat drawings of views, sections, projections and details are generated. Moreover, in order to in-crease attractiveness of projects, animations and Internet presentations are produced. The designer, who effectively uses only computer when creating engineering objects, should have the following skills: a) spatial perception of objects, b) application of rules characteristic for a proper representation method, c) restitution of spatial objects based on fiat projections, d) advisable application of all functions available in a given software, e) self-education regarding new software upgrades. Basing on his research, the author concludes that most problems are caused by the restitution of objects copied in Monge's projections.
