Opis:
Wykonano architektoniczny i konstrukcyjny projekt budynku ośrodka szkoleniowego sportów wodnych w Ełku. Jako konstrukcję nośną budynku zastosowano żelbetowe ramy ze stropami płytowo-żebrowymi. Baseny wioślarski i kajakarski mają własne konstrukcje nośne, które nie przenoszą obciążeń na konstrukcję główną budynku i nie były one uwzględniane w analizie statycznej. Wszystkie obliczenia statyczne i wymiarowanie wybranych elementów konstrukcji przeprowadzono zgodnie z Eurokodami.
The architectural and construction concept of the building of the water sports training centre in Ełk was designed. Reinforced concrete frames with slab-rib ceilings were used for the building’s main construction system. Rowing and canoeing pools are equipped with their own supporting structures, which do not transfer any load to the supporting structure of the main building, thus were not accounted for in the statistical analysis. All of the statistical calculations, as well as the dimensioning of selected construction elements were carried out according to the Eurocodes.

Opis:
The article presents the legal basis for action and decision support systems of the Polish Maritime Search and Rescue Service. Based on the course of a selected mission, the actual actions were compared with the IAMSAR recommendations, presenting the ways of communication and the latest training techniques for saving lives. Conclusions from the conducted analysis indicate that because of the knowledge and experience of rescuers the requirements for conducting a search and rescue action according to IAMSAR differ from the actual actions of rescue services.

This article describes the origin and development of the teaching of foreign languages for special purposes in Polish schools of higher education. The time frame in question runs from the setting up of Foreign Language Centers to the turning point year, 1989. The conditions, aims and methods of conducting classes with students of non-philological courses are presented in the context of the development of methodology for teaching foreign languages for special purposes in Poland. The picture is supplemented with an analysis of handbooks for teaching German for special purposes, used in the 80s in classes at the Foreign Language Center, the University of Białystok.

Introduction: Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGB) is one of the most common treatments for morbid obesity. The learning curve for this procedure is 50–75 cases for an independent surgeon, and it is considered the most important factor in decreasing complications and mortality. We present our experience and learning curve with LRYGB for a newly established bariatric center in Poland. Material and methods: A prospectively collected database containing 285 LRYGB procedures performed in the II Department of General Surgery of the Jagiellonian University MC in Krakow between 06.2010 and 03.2019 was retrospectively reviewed. Patients were divided into groups of 30 (G1–G10) in the order of the procedures performed by each surgeon. The study analyzed the course of the operation and patient hospitalization, comparing those groups. Learning curve for the newly created bariatric center was established. Results: Operative time in G1–G3 differed significantly from G4–G10 (P < 0.0001). The stabilization point was the 90th procedure. Perioperative complications were observed in 36 (12.63%) patients. Perioperative complications, intraoperative difficulties and adverse events did not differ importantly among groups. Liberal use of “conversions of the operator” from a surgeon to a senior surgeon provides reasonable safety and prevents complications. Conclusions: The institutional learning process stabilization point for LRYGB in a newly established bariatric center is around the 90th operation. LRYGB can be a safe procedure from the very beginning in newly established bariatric centers. Specific bariatric training with active proctoring by an experienced surgeon in a bariatric centre can improve the laparoscopic gastric bypass outcome during the learning curve.

The article aims to illustrate the process of obtaining permission to drive vehicles in Poland. Statutory conditions for participation in the training of candidates for drivers and the procedure for taking the state examination were presented. A lot of attention has been focused on the examination process. Presented the course of the examination procedure for the theoretical and practical. Were discussed in detail the tasks required exam. Because of the breadth and diversity of the examination procedure, the procedure is discussed in the basic category ,,B”.

Aparat bezpieczeństwa był bardzo ważnym narzędziem, które komuniści wykorzystywali w walce o władzę po II wojnie światowej. Tysiące funkcjonariuszy potrzebowało jednak stosownego przeszkolenia. W latach 1945–1947 byli oni szkoleni w Centralnej Szkole Ministerstwa Bezpieczeństwa Publicznego w Łodzi. Wykładowcami w niej byli przedwojenni polscy komuniści i tzw. kujbyszewiacy – absolwenci kursu NKWD (Ludowy Komisariat Spraw Wewnętrznych), zorganizowanego w kwietniu–lipcu 1944 r. w sowieckim mieście Kujbyszew nad rzeką Wołgą. Personel ten cechował młody wiek i brak doświadczenia zawodowego. Dlatego jego przydatność w kształceniu funkcjonariuszy aparatu bezpieczeństwa w powojennej Polsce była skromna.
Security apparatus was a very important vehicle which was used by communists during the fight for power after II World War. Thousands of functionaries needed the appropriate schooling. During 1945–1947 they were trained by Central School of Ministry of Public Security in Łódź. The lecturers in this School were the prewar Polish communists and so-called „kujbyszewiacy” – the graduates from NKVD [People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs] – a course which was organized in the period between April–July 1944 in the Soviet town Kuybyshev on the river Volga. The personnel was characterized by young age and lack of professional experience. Therefore their usefulness for education of functionaries of security apparatus in the postwar Poland was minore.

The article is an attempt at diagnosing training needs of the employees of units operating in health care sector in the Podkarpacie Province. In times of permanent changes affecting each sphere of economy, providers of health care services cannot afford to remain outside this trend. Improving qualifications, adaptability of the offer, influencing its quality, and above all, the awareness of the necessity of these changes, have become an element which is fully integrated also with this sphere of public sector operations. Taking into account the above, the article verifies not only training needs articulated by employees of Health Care Centers (HCC) operating in the Podkarpacie Province, but also the way they are perceived by the managers of these centers, the ability to define training needs and their compatibility with characteristic features of analyzed HCCs. Therefore special emphasis has been placed on demonstrating the variety of diagnosed training needs with reference to such criteria as the size of analyzed centers, the market serviced by them, and their location. These determinants allowed us to conduct a complex analysis of conditions and structure of voiced need for subject training, and as a consequence, contributed to diagnosing the expectations of the health care sector concerning initiatives improving the quality of public services in the health care services area.

Szkolnictwo rolnicze w Polsce przeszło długą ewolucję, a Szkoła Rolnicza w Czernichowie jest tego najlepszym przykładem. Powstała w 1860 r. z inicjatywy oraz dzięki organizacyjnej i finansowej pomocy Krakowskiego Towarzystwa Gospodarczo-Rolniczego i z krótkimi przerwami w czasie I i II wojny światowej, prowadzi działalność do dzisiaj. Szkoła zwielokrotniła liczbę przyjmowanych uczniów oraz liczbę absolwentów, z jednego kierunku kształcenia przeszła do kształcenia wielokierunkowego, na różnych poziomach. Umożliwia kształcenie młodzieży w systemie dziennym i zaocznym, a do kształcenia praktycznego wykorzystuje gospodarstwo szkolne. Z pierwszego naboru w 1860 r. - 19 uczniów szkołę ukończyło tylko 4, współcześnie co roku kończy ją ponad stu absolwentów. Szkoła początkowo zatrudniała 3 pracowników, obecnie 60, w tym 44 nauczycieli. Wykształciła około 7 tysięcy absolwentów, którzy zasilili kadry we wszystkich dziedzinach działalności, a szczególnie na wsi i w rolnictwie. Wnieśli oni ogromny wkład w rozwój życia naukowego, gospodarczego i kulturalnego kraju.
Agricultural teaching in Poland has undergone long evolution and Agricultural School in Chernichov is the best example of it. It was established in 1860 by Krakowskie Towarzystwo Gospodarczo-Rolnicze [Krakow Business and Agricultural Society] and with short breaks for the first and the second World War it has been operating till today. The School multiplied number of pupils and graduates and transformed itself from one-direction into multiple-direction teaching on various levels. It provides teaching in both systems and for practical teaching own farm is used. Out of 16 pupils starting learning in 1860 only 4 graduated and nowadays about 100 graduates is leaving the School annually. At its beginning there were only 3 teachers and now 60 staff including 44 teachers. About 7 thousand pupils graduated over those years and populated all areas of activity and especially countryside and agriculture. They brought huge input in development of scientific, business and cultural life of our country.
