Opis:: The paper presents methods and models used for analysis of ships traffic in north of Bornholm Traffic Separation Scheme. Ships' traffic has been analyzed by means of statistical methods with use of data possessed from AIS data obtained from HELCOM. The paper presents probabilistic models of ships' traffic spatial distribution and its parameters. The results could be used for safety and risk analysis models in given area and for creation of general models of ships' traffic flows.
W artykule przedstawiono metody i modele stosowane do analizy strumieni ruchu statków w strefie separacyjnej na północ od Bornholmu. Ruch statków został przeanalizowany metodami statystycznymi z użyciem danych pozyskanych za pomocą systemu AIS otrzymanych z sieci HELCOM. W artykule przedstawiono probabilistyczne modele rozkładu horyzontalnego strumienia ruchu statków i jego parametry. Wyniki tego opracowania mogą zostać wykorzystane do budowy ogólnych modeli rozkładów ruchu statków.

Opis:: In this paper the hypothesis about Poissonian character of vessel traffic stream from Świnoujście to Szczecin has been verified. And the hypothesis about Non-Poissonian character of vessel traffic stream from Szczecin to Świnoujście has been verified. To reach this goal, VTS data from second half of 2009 has been used. To description of non- Poissonian vessel traffic stream, for the first time, mixed distributions have been used.

Opis:: Currently it is assumed that requirements of the information society for delivering multimedia services will be satisfied by the Next Generation Network (NGN) architecture, which includes elements of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) solution. In order to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS), NGN has to be appropriately designed and dimensioned. Therefore, proper traffic models should be proposed and applied. This requires determination of queuing models adequate to message inter-arrival and interdeparture time distributions in the network. In the paper the above mentioned distributions in different points of a single domain of NGN are investigated, using a simulation model developed according to the latest standards and research. Relations between network parameters and obtained message inter-arrival as well as interdeparture time distributions are indicated. Moreover, possibility of approximating the above mentioned distributions using phase-type distributions is investigated, which can be helpful in identifying proper queuing models and constructing an analytical model suitable for NGN.

Opis:: The present article addresses the issue of crossing time on the fairway, modeling in restricted areas, where vessel traffic flow is disturbed. Data of movement time on the Świnoujście–Szczecin fairway was grouped according to ship type. The probability distributions describing the crossing time of different ship groups were analyzed. Using the Pearson chi-square goodness-of-fit and Cramer–von Mises tests it has been shown that the best distributions describing traffic time of all ship groups are the generalized extreme value distributions.
