    The article contains an analysis of the scientific achievements and views of the economist Stanisław Głąbiński, associated with Lviv. Polish economic thought in the interwar period developed in two opposite directions: theoretical and historical. The first of them dominated in the Krakow, Poznań and Warsaw centers, while the second was represented by economists associated with the Lviv and Warsaw centers. Głąbiński was the leading representative of the historical course at the University of Lviv. His economic views as well as political, social and economic activities deserve attention. Głąbiński’s socio-economic concepts were a reflection of his political views. His most important works from the period of the Second Polish Republic, ie two volumes of National Economics (Theory of National Economics – 1927 and National Economic Policy – 1928) and History of Economics – 1939 (volumes 1 and 2) are the best proof of this. Głąbiński has always tried to look at the essence of economic phenomena from the national point of view. Throughout his scientific activity he also proclaimed the creation of a new school in the science of economics – a national school whose theoretical basis would be the nation and the national idea. He left the individualism of the liberal school and examined the economic reality through the prism of national interest. He claimed that an abstract analysis of a personal interest that omits the national interest is only a hypothesis that does not explain the economic reality. Therefore, he proposed to supplement abstract research with research on the whole socio-economic reality: historical analyzes and comparison of the personal interest of economic entities with the general interest.

    W artykule zaprezentowane zostały zmiany w systemie kształcenia zawodowego obowiązujące w Polsce od roku szkolnego 2017/2018. Najważniejszą zmianą jest powołanie szkoły branżowej I stopnia, która zastąpiła Zasadniczą Szkołę Zawodową. Kolejną istotną zmianą jest zmodyfikowana klasyfikacja zawodów szkolnictwa zawodowego. Głównym celem zmian jest dostosowanie systemu kształcenia do potrzeb gospodarki, które realizowane będzie we współpracy z lokalnymi przedsiębiorcami.
    The article presents the changes in the vocational training system applicable from the 2017/2018 school year. The most important change is the establishment of the first degree trade school, which replaced the Vocational School. Another significant change is the modified classification of vocational education occupations. The main goal of those changes is to adapt the education system to the needs of the economy, which will be implemented in collaboration with local entrepreneurs.

    Cel: Rozpatrzenie problematyki opieki nad matką i dzieckiem w okresie międzywojennym, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kwestii niechcianego i trudnego macierzyństwa oraz zagrożonego dzieciństwa w oparciu o czasopisma branżowe: „Opieka nad Dzieckiem”, „Życie Dziecka” i „Życie Młodych”. Metody: Analiza dokumentów i źródeł drukowanych. Wyniki: Przedstawiono założenia i najważniejsze formy opieki doraźnej, i instytucjonalnej nad macierzyństwem i niemowlętami realizowane w okresie II Rzeczypospolitej. Wnioski: Analiza projektów i poczynań praktycznych w zakresie ochrony macierzyństwa i niemowląt prezentowanych na łamach przytoczonych czasopism uświadamia, że w okresie międzywojennym istniały przesłanki do rozwiązania problemu porzucania dzieci i samotnego macierzyństwa. Autorzy podejmujący tę problematykę przyczyniali się nie tylko do popularyzowania problemów i zadań w zakresie ochrony macierzyństwa, ale również samej wiedzy o opiece nad dzieckiem. Pomogli w tworzeniu zaplecza sprzyjającego podejmowaniu działań w tym zakresie. Promowali mało znane, a pożądane społecznie formy opieki, jak np. stacje opieki nad matką i dzieckiem. Zaprezentowane działania miały również swój udział w kształtowaniu się podstaw pedagogiki opiekuńczej, zarówno w obszarze pojęciowym, jak i metodycznym.
    Aim: The examination of the topic of the protection of the mother and child in the interwar period, taking into consideration,particularly,undesired and difficult maternity and threats to childhood on the basis of trade magazines “Child care”, “Children’s life” and “Life of the young people”. Methods: Analysis of documents and printed sources. Results: The presentation of assumptions and the most important forms of temporary and institutional care of maternity and infants in the Second Polish Republic. Conclusion: The analysis of projects and practices of the protection of infants and maternity presented in the trade magazines enlightens the existence of propositions of concrete solutions for abandoned children and lonely maternity in the interwar period. The authors of this conception popularized not only the problems and challenges of the protection of maternity but also the knowledge about childcare itself. They helped to develop the background enabling the start of concrete actions. They promoted some less known but desired forms of social care like for example stations of mother and child care. Presented activities shaped the foundations of custodial pedagogy as well, especially as far as the conceptions and methodology are concerned.

    Opis:
    Th e article presents the problem of child abuse in the family. Shows the causes of violence in the family, but also treats children’s rights under the Convention on the Rights of the child, such as the right to an identity, right to expression, the right to live without violence, the right to social assistance, right to education. Th is article presents the family as the basic environment in which the child is born and brought up, because it has strong infl uence on the shaping of his personality. Refers to the fact that the home should be a place where the child feels safe. Pointed out that oft en but this is different, because victims of domestic violence are mostly women and children, as being weak and defenseless against their persecutors. Th e defi nition of domestic violence was quoted. Pointed to factors that protection children from violence, as well as the factors which contribute to harming. Defi ned physical violence against the child, and refers to the normative acts in this area, established as the sexual exploitation of children, studies showing the extent of the problem, and also refers to the legislation, to protect the child from sexual abuse. Th e article refers to the mental abuse and neglect in the family. Distinguished category of emotional abuse, as well as identifi ed other forms of child abuse in the family, such as alcoholism, drug abuse or other negative attitudes of parents, stigmatized by the law.

    W artykule autorka krótko przedstawiła historię szkolnictwa zawodowego, pierwszych jej prób reform w okresie dwudziestolecia międzywojennego. Z uwzględnieniem sytuacji polityczno-gospodarczej na Ziemiach Zachodnich po drugiej wojnie światowej, na przykładzie konkretnej placówki oświatowej, szkoły średniej o profi lu zawodowym – Zespołu Szkół Tekstylno-Handlowych w Żaganiu autorka krótko scharakteryzowała historię placówki wraz z kierunkami kształcenia oraz unaoczniła jak przemiany gospodarczo-polityczne roku 1989 wpłynęły na funkcjonowanie szkoły o profilu włókienniczym. Na koniec opisała jakie działania zostały podjęte przez władze polityczne, oświatowe, aby profi l kształcenia szkoły był adekwatny do możliwości gospodarczych Żagania.
    In the article the author presents the history of vocational education, the first attempts to reform in the post-war period, taking into account the political and economic situation in the Western Territories after World War II with the example of a particular educational institution, the school-professional profile of the School of Textile and Trade in Sagan. The author characterizes the history of this institution, together with the directions of education as were revealed as political-economic changes, of 1989 affecting the functioning of the textile school profile. At the end she describes what action has been taken by the political, educational, vocational school profile as adequate for economic opportunities in Sagan.

    Demanding that the contemporary labor market and expectations of young people starting their careers, the difficulty in determining the future of professional and increased responsibility for their own future have led to increased interest and demand for advisory services. School education is a process that allows the one hand, acquiring the necessary knowledge, is the foundation for achieving a high economic level of the country, on the other hand, offers young people the chance to realize their career plans. At the same time changes in the labor market necessitate continuous updating of skills and competence, requiring teachers to prepare students to enter the profession and field of study.
    Wymagania, które stawia współczesny rynek pracy oraz oczekiwania młodych ludzi rozpoczynających karierę zawodową, trudności w określeniu przyszłości zawodowej oraz wzrost odpowiedzialności za własną przyszłość spowodowały zwiększenie zainteresowania i zapotrzebowania na usługi doradcze. Edukacja szkolna jest procesem, który umożliwia z jednej strony zdobywanie potrzebnej wiedzy, jest fundamentem do osiągnięcia wysokiego poziomu gospodarczego kraju, a z drugiej, stwarza młodym ludziom szansę na realizację ich planów zawodowych. Jednocześnie zmiany na rynku pracy wymuszają ciągłe podnoszenie kwalifikacji i kompetencji zawodowych, nakładając na nauczycieli obowiązek przygotowania uczniów do wyboru zawodu i kierunku kształcenia.
