Opis:
The Track-Before-Detect (TBD) algorithms are applied for the tracking of signals below the noise floor. The noise object is the signal that has noise samples only. The processing of such signal using Spatio-Temporal TBD is not possible directly. The proposed preprocessing technique allows analysis of the signal using moving window approach and dot product calculations. Two vectors, related to the distributions, are compared: the overall signal and the local, related to the window position. The Monte Carlo tests are applied for the analysis of performance.

Information obtained through analysis of video sequences can have many uses, for instance in different video-game controllers or intelligent mobile safety systems [1]. Thanks to the miniaturization of integrated circuits, it is possible to use these solutions in intelligent mobile vehicles [2]. In order to keep track of an object, first there has to be found its existence and location. Many methods of detection and tracking are based on the specific object characteristic [3,4]. The observation of the object contour is also very popular[5,6]. In every case, however, the disadvantages are downside costs and possibility of losing an object by sudden changes of the selected feature. This work presents the implementation of a tracking algorithm with double detection-color and shape. Both parameters were analysed with a large tolerance, which simplified the calculation engine. There was used the Kalman filter [7]. An Android Smartphone with a built-in camera and a robot of LEGO Mindstorms NXT series were applied. The paper contains a description of the structure of the system (Fig.1) and the most important implementation details associated with a specific way of detecting and tracking the object (Fig.2). The experiments carried out show the efficiency of the system (Fig. 2, ). The impact of the various parameters on the efficiency of the trace is described (Tab 1). The tests together with the interpretation of their results are presented.

Opis:
This article describes the hardware and software de‐ sign of a vision‐based autonomous turret system. A two degree of freedom (2 DOF) turret platform is designed to carry a cannon equipped with an embedded camera and actuated by stepper motors or direct current motors. The turret system includes a central calculator running a visual detection and tracking solution, and a microcon‐ troller, responsible for actuators control. The Tracking‐ Learning‐Detection (TLD) algorithm is implemented for target detection and tracking. Furthermore, a Kalman filter algorithm is implemented to continue the tracking in case of occlusion. The performances of the designed turret, regarding response time, accuracy and the execu‐ tion time of its main tasks, are evaluated. In addition, an experimental scenario was performed for real‐time autonomous detection and tracking of a moving target.

Opis:
In industry and research, big data applications are gaining a lot of traction and space. Surveillance videos contribute significantly to big unlabelled data. The aim of visual surveillance is to understand and determine object behavior. It includes static and moving object detection, as well as video tracking to comprehend scene events. Object detection algorithms may be used to identify items in any video scene. Any video surveillance system faces a significant challenge in detecting moving objects and differentiating between objects with same shapes or features. The primary goal of this work is to provide an integrated framework for quick overview of video analysis utilizing deep learning algorithms to detect suspicious activity. In greater applications, the detection method is utilized to determine the region where items are available and the form of objects in each frame. This video analysis also aids in the attainment of security. Security may be characterized in a variety of ways, such as identifying theft or violation of covid protocols. The obtained results are encouraging and superior to existing solutions with 97% accuracy.

Opis:
The solar photovoltaic output power fluctuates according to solar irradiation, temperature, and load impedance variations. Due to the operating point fluctuations, extracting maximum power from the PV generator, already having a low power conversion ratio, becomes very complicated. To reach a maximum power operating point, a maximum power point tracking technique (MPPT) should be used. Under partial shading condition, the nonlinear PV output power curve contains multiple maximum power points with only one global maximum power point (GMPP). Consequently, identifying this global maximum power point is a difficult task and one of the biggest challenges of partially shaded PV systems. The conventional MPPT techniques can easily be trapped in a local maximum instead of detecting the global one. The artificial neural network techniques used to track the GMPP have a major drawback of using huge amount of data covering all operating points of PV system, including different uniform and non-uniform irradiance cases, different temperatures and load impedances. The biological intelligence techniques used to track GMPP, such as grey wolf algorithm and cuckoo search algorithm (CSA), have two main drawbacks; to be trapped in a local MPP if they have not been well tuned and the precision-transient tracking time complex paradox. To deal with these drawbacks, a Distributive Cuckoo Search Algorithm (DCSA) is developed, in this paper, as GMPP tracking technique. Simulation results of the system for different partial shading patterns demonstrated the high precision and rapidity, besides the good reliability of the proposed DCSA- GMPPT technique, compared to the conventional CSA-GMPPT.

The tracking of moving objects with the use of GPS/GNSS or other techniques is relied upon in numerous applications, from health monitoring and physical activity support, to social investigations to detection of fraud in transportation. While monitoring movement, a common subtask consists in determining the object’s moving periods, and its immobility periods. In this paper, we isolate the mathematical problem of automatic detection of a stop of tracking objects under the stream processing regime (ideal data processing algorithm regime) in which one is allowed to use only a constant amount of memory, while the stream of GNSS positions of the tracked object increases in size. We propose an approximation scheme of the stop detection problem based on the fuzziness in the approximation of noise level related to the position reported by GNSS. We provide a solving algorithm that determines some upper bounds for the problem’s complexity. We also provide an experimental illustration of the problem at hand.

This paper presents the design of a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) whose parameters are optimized by using Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Bacteria Foraging Optimization (BFO) for tip position control of a single link flexible manipulator. The proposed FLC is designed by minimizing the fitness function, which is defined as a function of tip position error, through GA and BFO optimization algorithms achieving perfect tip position tracking of the single link flexible manipulator. Then the tip position responses obtained by using both the above controllers are compared to suggest the best controller for the tip position tracking.

Avariety of approaches for trajectory tracking control of wheeled mobile robots have been implemented. This paper presents a model for a time optimal motion control based on fuzzy logic algorithm for a three wheeled nonholonomic mobile robot with desired function. Simplified kinematic equations of a differentially driven robot are designed to follow the path with evaluated linear and angular velocities. Here, the proposed kinematic model is based on a simple geometric approach for getting the desired position and orientation. The speeds are varied depending on the variations in the path and on the posture of the robot. The robot is subjected to move in a constrained workspace. The control architecture was developed based on fuzzy logic algorithm to obtain time optimal motion control of robot trajectory tracking. The kinematic model was done on Matlab software environment and profound impact on the ability of the nonholonomic mobile robot to track the path was evaluated.

In this investigation, the problem of moving object detection - without any knowledge - is classified. It describes a technique that will allow real-time localization with usage of IR sensors. The proposed algorithm is simplistic, and in the future, it might be implemented into any vehicle, premium or entry level. It is guided by AI that must calculate its next moves in the blink of an eye without user noticing any delays. The main problem of moving object recognition was extraction of proper features, description of the events, and choice of only the crucial ones. The presented novel approach does not follow any standard algorithms. It is a practical hardware implementation of custom solution, based on processing system, which can be well situated in the safety modules of future cars.

This research presents a comparative study for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methodologies for a photovoltaic (PV) system. A novel hybrid algorithm golden section search assisted perturb and observe (GSS-PO) is proposed to solve the problems of the conventional PO (CPO). The aim of this new methodology is to boost the efficiency of the CPO. The new algorithm has a very low convergence time and a very high efficiency. GSS-PO is compared with the intelligent nature-inspired multi-verse optimization (MVO) algorithm by a simulation validation. The simulation study reveals that the novel GSS- PO outperforms MVO under uniform irradiance conditions and under a sudden change in irradiance.
