    Opis:
    In this paper, formulas for aspherical, sphero-cylindrical, toroidal, and ellipsoidal surfaces with astigmatic axes are derived. Based on this, four types of curved surfaces were designed to correct astigmatism with axis, and, subsequently, the lenses were simulated, fabricated, and measured. A total of ten spectacle lenses in two groups were designed. Those in the first group used identical optical parameters. The spherical and cylindrical powers and maximum and minimum edge thicknesses of aspherical, sphero-cylindrical, and ellipsoidal surfaces were compared. The results indicated that the power of the lens constructed using the toroidal surface was more accurate than those of the other three lenses. Moreover, the minimum edge thickness of the toroidal surface was 1.2%, 4.98%, and 4.87% lower than those of the aspherical, sphero-cylindrical, and ellipsoidal surfaces, respectively. The powers and edge thicknesses of toroidal surfaces with different diopters were compared in the second group. The minimum and maximum edge thicknesses were observed to be reduced by 8.97% and 6.05%, respectively, corresponding to the conic constants obtained via ray tracing. The conclusion will be significant for clinical ophthalmology and optical design for the patients with astigmatism.

    The paper presents the original technique of transcleral fixation toric IOL with the assist of the Verion™ system in patients in which intracapsular implantation cannot be performed. This technique enables to predict the location of the fixation and the lens setting in the correct axis for astigmatism. In the paper we defined the term of angle of lens fixation, the means of its measurement as well as modification of Verion™ system setting. It enabled us to designate target location of lens fixation. The technique improved the refraction of the patient, by which the implant could not be done by classical method.
    Praca przedstawia zastosowanie oryginalnej techniki fiksacji przeztwardówkowej soczewki torycznej z asystą systemu Verion™ u chorych, u których nie można dokonać dotorebkowego wszczepienia implantu. Technika ta umożliwia wytypowanie miejsca fiksacji i ustawienie soczewki w prawidłowej osi astygmatyzmu. W pracy zdefiniowaliśmy pojęcie kąta fiksacji soczewki, sposób jego pomiaru, a także sposób modyfikacji ustawień systemu Verion™. Pozwoliło nam to wyznaczyć docelowe miejsce fiksacji soczewki. Technika ta poprawiła refrakcję u chorej, u której nie można było dokonać wszczepienia metodą klasyczną.

    Opis:
    Current developments of scientifi c thinking in the fi eld of education, are increasingly de-manding in various disciplines for young people as a matter of urgency. It is already known that child development is conditioned by ancestry, socio-cultural environment, including interaction with peers and adults. Albanian institutions (kindergarten) compared to contem-porary experience in more developed countries have to deal with issues such as: (1) The de-velopment of a run or optimal acceleration enrichment motor for kindergarten children, seen as an important element of the formation of the human personality and its preparation to cope with various situations of life ; (2) The role of infrastructure in the natural development of the personality of children and the educational process as a whole; (3) Parental community involvement as a fundamental prerequisite of real development of the child; (4) The qualifi -cation level of the teaching staff in the elementary education system and the preparation of students teacher. I hope to add my contribution through this paper, not only by identifying the problems abo-ve, but also in presenting alternatives of a development model of kindergarten children motors skills progress, compared to contemporary experience in more developed countries.

    Opis:
    Purpose: To evaluate distance, near and intermediate visual acuity, objective refraction, corneal keratometry and rotational stability after cataract surgery with an implantation of multifocal toric AcrySof® IQ PanOptix TFNTx intraocular lens in one-year follow-up. Material and methods: A total of 20 eyes of 14 patients underwent 2.2 mm coaxial cataract surgery with an implantation of AcrySof® IQ PanOptix TFNTx intraocular lens. Before surgery uncorrected and best-corrected distance visual acuity, objective refraction and corneal keratometry were evaluated. Twelve months after the surgery uncorrected and best-corrected distance visual acuity, uncorrected near and intermediate visual acuity, objective refraction, corneal keratometry and rotational stability of the implant were analyzed. Results: One year after the surgery there was statistically significant improvement of uncorrected and best corrected distance visual acuity (p = 0.005 and p = 0.016). There was no significant change in corneal keratometry in flat and steep meridian (p = 0.94 and p = 0.63) and keratometric cylinder (p = 0.49). There was statistically significant decrease in objective refraction cylinder (p = 0.002). The mean rotation of an implanted intraocular lens axis was 2.51°. There were no intra- and post-operative complications in any of the patients. Conclusions: AcrySof® IQ PanOptix TFNTx intraocular lens implantation is a safe and effective method to correct presbyopia coexisting with corneal astigmatism during cataract surgery
    Celem pracy jest ocena wyników ostrości wzroku do dali, bliży i odległości pośredniej, refrakcji obiektywnej, keratometrii rogówkowej oraz stabilności rotacyjnej soczewki u pacjentów poddanych operacji zaćmy z implantacją wieloogniskowej soczewki torycznej AcrySof® IQ PanOptix TFNTx w rocznym okresie obserwacji.Materiał i metody_ Do badania włączono 20 oczu 14 pacjentów. Poddano ich operacji zaćmy metodą koaksjalnej fakoemulsyfikacji z szerokością cięcia rogówkowego 2,2 mm oraz z implantacją soczewki AcrySof® IQ PanOptix TFNTx. Przed zabiegiem oceniono ostrość wzroku do dali bez korekcji i z najlepszą korekcją, refrakcję obiektywną oraz keratometrię rogówkową. 12 miesięcy po operacji oceniono ostrość wzroku do dali bez korekcji i z najlepszą korekcją, ostrość wzroku do odległości pośredniej bez korekcji, ostrość wzroku do bliży bez korekcji, refrakcję obiektywną, keratometrię rogówkową oraz stabilność rotacyjną implantu w torebce.Wyniki_ W rocznym okresie obserwacji zanotowano istotną statystycznie poprawę ostrości wzroku do dali bez korekcji i z najlepszą korekcją (p = 0,005 oraz p = 0,016). Nie zaobserwowano istotnej statystycznie zmiany w wielkości keratometrii rogówkowej w południku płaskim i stromym (p = 0,94 oraz p = 0,63) oraz w wielkości cylindra rogówkowego (p = 0,49). Odnotowano istotne statystycznie zmniejszenie mocy cylindrycznej w refrakcji obiektywnej (p = 0,002). Średnie odchylenie osi wszczepionej soczewki od zaplanowanej osi implantacji wyniosło 2,51°. Nie zaobserwowano powikłań śród- ani pooperacyjnych u żadnego z pacjentów.Wnioski_ Implantacja wieloogniskowej torycznej soczewki AcrySof® IQ PanOptix TFNTx jest bezpiecznym i efektywnym sposobem leczenia prezbiopii współistniejącej z astygmatyzmem rogówkowym w trakcie operacji zaćmy.

    Pre lim i nary re sults of GPR field prospection car ried out in the area of the pre his toric min ing field Borownia (Æmielów, Ostrowiec OEwiêtokrzyski Dis trict) are pre sented. This min ing field forms a belt (30–50 m wide and 700 m long), start ing from the val ley edge of the Kamienna River southeastwards. South east ern and west ern parts of the site have pre served the orig i nal post-ex ploi ta tion re lief. Ge ol ogy of the Borownia min ing field was ex am ined and ac quired radio grams re vealed three dis tinct zones of anom aly con cen tra tions. The cen tral zone (B) is clearly a frag ment of the pre his toric min ing field, con firmed not only by the GPR sound ing but also by ar chae o log i cal sur veys. The other two zones have not yet been in ves ti gated in de tail but their sur face and ar chae o log i cal ex am i na tion may de ter mine only whether their un der ground struc tures are nat u ral or have been cre ated by hu mans. Data ob tained dur ing the GPR prospection at the Borownia ar chae o log i cal site con firmed use ful ness of 100, 250 and 500 MHz an ten nas. The rel atively large depth range and good res o lu tion are due to fa vor able geo log i cal con di tions.
