The article describes theoretical aspects of project time management, according to actual project management standards, developed by Project Management Institute. Activity duration estimating techniques were presented, including their advantages and disadvantages, conditions of use, known limitations and costs of implementation. Analyzed estimating techniques were classified as soft, hard and supporting by increasing demand of information. Access to the information was the main criterion of technique selection because of minimizing the estimating error possibility.

Opis:
Czas dla wielu ludzi jest dobrem deficytowym. Umiejętność zarządzania czasem polega na planowaniu i poprawianiu swojej produktywności, pozwala uzyskać lepsze efekty pracy. Niestety, na drodze mogą pojawić się różne bariery i dystraktory, które utrudniają zarządzanie czasem. Celem artykułu jest diagnoza umiejętności zarządzania czasem w dobie nauki zdalnej studentów sześciu instytutów Państwowej Wyższej Szkoły Zawodowej w Nowym Sączu (PWSZ). Dokonano kwerendy literatury przedmiotu oraz przeprowadzono badania ankietowe na próbie 569 studentów PWSZ w Nowym Sączu. Badania pozytywnie zweryfikowały dwie spośród trzech hipotez badawczych. Nie stwierdzono istotnych różnic zarówno w poziomie wiedzy, jak i umiejętności praktycznych studentów poszczególnych instytutów w zakresie zarządzania czasem. Otrzymane wyniki badania wskazują, że studenci badanych instytutów w różnym stopniu wykazują wykonywanie zadań w pierwszej kolejności. Studenci Instytutu Ekonomicznego i Instytutu Pedagogicznego realizują zadania w pierwszej kolejności, natomiast inne podejście do wykonywania zadań zauważalne jest wśród studentów Instytutu Kultury Fizycznej i Instytutu Zdrowia. Różnice w otrzymanych wynikach dotyczą również wykonywania zadań przed terminem jego wykonania. Sformułowane na ich podstawie wnioski wymagają dalszych pogłębionych badań.
Time for many people is a scarce good. Knowing how to manage time is about planning and improving your productivity and allows you to get more out of work. Unfortunately, there can be various barriers and distractors that get in the way of time management. The aim of the article is to diagnose time management skills during remote learning by students of six institutes of the State University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz. The method used was critical analysis of the literature and the results of questionnaires, which were conducted on a sample of 569 students of the State University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz. The research positively verified two out of three research hypotheses. No significant differences were found in both the level of knowledge and practical skills of students of different institutes in time management. The obtained results of the study indicate that the students of the studied institutes, to a different extent, show the performance of tasks in the first place. The students of the Institute of Economics and the Pedagogical Institute carry out tasks first, while a different approach to task performance is noticeable among the students of the Institute of Physical Culture and the Institute of Health. The differences in the obtained results also concern the execution of the tasks before its deadline. Conclusions formulated on their basis require further in-depth research.

This qualitative phenomenological study was conducted to determine the school administrators’ time management strategies and how they helped them have effective school administration. The researchers interviewed school administrators of selected elementary schools in the Western Philippines. The study results disclosed that school administrators developed time management strategies such as delegation of authorities, setting clear priorities, managing distraction, making written plans, and setting time tables. These time management strategies were focused on the administrative supervision of the school administrators. These time management strategies could make the school operation smooth and easy and help them accomplish the administrators’ tasks efficiently.

The article reveals the importance of the time management problem and substantiates the expediency of its research. It describes peculiarities of time management as a pedagogical technology concentrating on its principles; analysis of technology genesis was carried out in the works by foreign and domestic scientists from different fields of science. Five groups of problems solved with the help of this technology were identified. It was found out that time management within our research meets the requirements of a pedagogical technology effectively facilitating PhD students’ self-management. It was proved that it combines features of professional management technology as well as effective self-management.

W potężnej kompresji czasu, charakteryzującej życie społeczeństw rozwiniętych, umiejętność zarządzania czasem nabrała szczególnego znaczenia. Coraz częściej jest ona bowiem warunkiem realizacji celów zawodowych i prywatnych, a tym samym zaspokojenia potrzeb i zrównoważonego rozwoju człowieka. W artykule na podstawie badań wtórnych oraz pierwotnych scharakteryzowano wybrane problemy współczesnego konsumenta – mieszkańca dużego miasta z zarządzaniem budżetem czasu. Życie pod presją czasu, związany z tym stres i poczucie niedoboru czasu na realizację wszystkich stojących przed jednostką wyzwań i zadań, a także brak równowagi czasowej pomiędzy poszczególnymi obszarami życia dotykają w różnym zakresie coraz większą grupę konsumentów, zwłaszcza tych wykształconych i osiągających wysokie dochody.
In the life of developed societies characterized by a strong time compression, the time management skill became highly important. More and more often it is a precondition for achieving the professional and private goals, there by satisfying human needs and allowing for sustainable development. The article, based on the secondary and primary research, characterizes problems of the contemporary consumer (inhabitant of a big city) with time management. Life under time pressure, associated with its stress and sense of time shortage to accomplish all the challenges and tasks faced by an entity as well as the lack of time balance between the various areas of life are affecting a growing group of consumers, especially those who are educated and who receive high incomes.

Analizując liczbę współczesnych, technicznych nowinek, aplikacji oraz dostępnych systemów służących zarządzaniu czasem, można stwierdzić, że spóźnienie lub brak czasu nie dotyczy już obecnych pokoleń. Jednak nadal, mimo tak ogromnego wsparcia ze strony najnowszej technologii, nie brak osób, które nie potrafią zarządzać czasem swoim i swoich pracowników. Wiele projektów kończy się fiaskiem, zwłaszcza ze względu na źle zaplanowane zadania lub zasoby projektowe. Celem pracy jest znalezienie odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy obecnie istnieje na rynku system, który pozwoli zarządzać czasem swoim lub innych oraz jednocześnie zaspokoi indywidualne przyzwyczajenia i predyspozycje, dzięki którym system będzie miał realne zastosowanie. W poniższym opracowaniu zostały przedstawione i porównane najbardziej popularne systemy informatyczne, wspomagające organizację czasu własnego, jak i czasu pracy. Zaprezentowano funkcjonalności narzędzi oraz przedstawiono wymagania, które powinien spełniać system odpowiedzialny za zarządzanie czasem.
Analyzing the number of modern, technical innovations, applications and systems available for the time management can be concluded that the delay or lack of time no longer concerns the current generation. But still, despite of such a huge support from the latest technology, there is no lack of people who cannot manage their time and their employees. Many projects end in failure – especially because of the badly planned project tasks or resources. The aim of the study is to answer the question whether there is now available system that will manage own time or the others, and at the same time satisfy individual habits and predispositions, so that the system will have real application and contribute to personal fulfillment. In this study, they were presented and compared the most popular IT systems, supporting the organization’s own time and working time. Authors presented different functionality of the tools and the most important requirements that should be met by the system responsible for the time management.

Video games have been around for more than four decades. The purpose of video games is to entertain. Over time, the ways in which video games entertain have changed. Recently, there has been an influx of video games with the intent to educate. These games were created to educate the player while keeping them entertained. The impact of video games on education has yet to be examined. The purpose of this study is to gauge the effect of video games and its correlation with college entrance-exam scores. We assert that one major variable affecting the outcome of education and college entrance-exam score is the sudden prominence of video games in the American culture. Thus, our research will be on the effects that video games have on education, whether positive or negative.

Artykuł poświęcony został problematyce zarządzania czasem pracy policjanta. Dobre gospodarowanie czasem przekłada się na lepszą organizację pracy i rozwój organizacji. Współczesne koncepcje i metody zarządzania czasem pracy w organizacji oraz odpowiednio dobrana koncepcja i metoda zarządzania czasem pracy w Policji może wpłynąć pozytywnie na skuteczność i realizacje celów statutowych oraz strategicznych. To z kolei może przynieść mierzalne oszczędności. Zwrócono również uwagę na problemy powstające w związku z interpretacją przepisów prawnych normujących czas służby policjantów, jak również na brak ustawowej definicji czasu służby.
The article was devoted to the issue of time management officer. Good time management resulting in better organization of work and organizational development. Modern concepts and methods of time management in the organization and properly chosen concept and method of time management in the Police may improve efficiency and realization of statutory objectives and strategic. This in turn can produce measurable savings. Attention was also paid to the problems arising in connection with the interpretation of legal provisions regulating the time of service of police officers, as well as the lack of a statutory definition of duty.

Celem artykułu są rozważania na temat czasu w konsumpcji. Służą one przedstawieniu wybranych zagadnień z zakresu interpretacji czasu – ich miejsca i znaczenia w analizie konsumpcji oraz istoty gospodarowania czasem jako niefinansowym środkiem konsumpcji będącym w dyspozycji jednostki. Prowadzą do stwierdzenia, że czas w konsumpcji jest tą kategorią, która z jednej strony ma charakter instytucji społecznej, regulatora zdarzeń społecznych, właściwości ludzkiego działania – jest integralną częścią porządku społecznego; z drugiej – jest cennym dobrem, ograniczonym zasobem jakim gospodarują jednostki w celu zaspokojenia potrzeb egzystencji (podstawowych), potrzeb samorozwoju i społecznych (wyższego rzędu).
The aim of this article is a reflection on the time in consumption. They serve as a presentation: selected issues in the field of interpretation of time – their place and significance in the analysis of consumption; the economy sometimes acts as a nonfinancial means of consumption at the disposal of the individual. They lead to the conclusion that time in consumption is the category which, on the one hand, is the social institution, the regulator of social events, the characteristic of human activity – is an integral part of the social order; on the other hand, it is a valuable asset, limited by the resources that the individual manages to meet the needs of existence (basic), needs of selfdevelopment and social (higher order).

Organizacja czasu pracy podlega ciągłemu doskonaleniu. Zarówno naukowcy, jak i praktycy proponują różne techniki i zasady organizacji pracy. W latach 90. rozpowszechniona została koncepcja Lean (na bazie założeń Lean Toyota System z lat 50.). Koncepcję implementowano w wielu obszarach przedsiębiorstwa, w tym także w gospodarowaniu czasem pracy. Celem niniejszej publikacji było przedstawienie postępu zmian w organizacji czasu pracy na przykładzie sektora hutniczego w Polsce. Praca składa się z dwóch części: analitycznej i teoretycznej. Zakresem analizy objęto szeregi czasowe zmian gospodarowania czasem pracy w sektorze hutniczym. Część teoretyczna, studium literaturowe, obejmuje prezentację założeń koncepcji Lean Time Management.
The organization of working time is subject to continuous improvement. Both scientists and managers propose different principles and techniques of work organization. In the 90s, it was spread the concept of Lean (based on assumptions Toyota Lean System from the 50s). The rules of lean were implemented in different business areas, for example in working time management. The aim of this publication is to present the progress of changes in the organization of working time on the example of the steel sector in Poland. The paper consists of two parts: theoretical and analytical. The scope of the analysis included time series changes in the management of working hours in the steel sector. The paper deals with application of soft-skills competence in practice comparing of education and employers requirements. In addition to what a graduate is to know in terms of the knowledge theoretically acquired, the labour market today defines quite clearly the specific requirements in terms of what a graduate should be able to do, provide for, organize, including the demands related to their competences. The purpose of the paper is to assess the ethical credibility of selected subjects in the field of soft skills based on the analysis and conclusions of research conducted in 2018-2019 at the Technical University in Zvolen. The method of questionnaire survey was chosen for the execution of the research. The paper presents the results of the selected area research of soft-skills, which showed the most significant differences – stress resistance. To evaluate the results was used the Mann-Whitney test of significance which is an especially appropriate test for two independent and randomly selected sets of sample observations. At the end of paper are proposed recommendations for improving teaching in accordance with the requirements of practice.
