    Opis:
    In 2018 we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Jędrzej Śniadecki’s birth. This work aims to show the importance of his thoughts for the development of natural sciences. He studied at some of the largest universities in Europe, where he met great scientists of the Enlightenment. The effects can be seen in his works. He was remembered as a founder of Polish biochemistry, anthropology and pathology, also as the author of chemical terminology and  language. The essence of his thoughts is Theory of organic being, which is an attempt to answer the question: „what is life?”. Jędrzej Śniadecki introduced a new definition of life based on the term „organic power”. This work shows how import are the thoughts of Jędrzej Śniadecki in the context of the times in which he lived, as well as the following development of natural sciences, what makes him and his theories worth memory.

    Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka pojęcia dobrostanu psychicznego i warunków jego realizacji w życiu jednostki. Analizie poddane zostaną czynniki składowe konstytuujące kategorię dobrostanu psychicznego w odróżnieniu od np. szerszego pojęcia dobrobytu, jak również zaprezentowana zostanie cebulowa koncepcja szczęścia autorstwa Janusza Czapińśkiego.
    The purpose of this article is to characterize the concept of psychological well-being and the conditions of its implementation in the life of the individual. The components that constitute the concept of well-being will be analyzed, in contrast to the wider notion of welfare, as well as an ‘onion’ theory of happiness (by Janusz Czapińskiego) will be presented.

    The article seeks to defamiliarize coaching practices based on the premises of positive psy- chology that were the focus of the author’s inquiry during ethnographic research among the Polish community of professional coaches and their clients: managers, entrepreneurs and university teachers. The author argues that coaching practices equip individuals with tools to cope with the social and personal risks associated with living conditions of late-capitalism. These practices are also a space within which we fase the circulation of affects and the power of desires that support capitalist regimes of productivity and, consequently, produce a neoliberal psyche (neoliberal type of subjectivity). In this paper, the author aims to answer the following questions: how do people participating in a coaching process govern themselves (construct, negotiate or contest their own self) by means of affective movements? What is the persuasive dimension of the affective work on self undertaken by coachees that results in subjectification and/or objectification along the lines of neoliberal rationality? And finally: how is the affective-rhetorical process of embodying the neoliberal type of governance manifested in coaching? The answers to these questions have been developed based on the findings of affect theory and rhetoric culture theory.

    Rozważania podjęte w tym artykule są rozwinięciem i uzupełnieniem niektórych wątków obecnych w wydanej przeze mnie wcześniej książce Realność czasu.2 Poszerzam tu zarysowany tam infinitystyczny (wieloświatowy) oraz dynamiczny obraz bytu realnego. Do głównych rezultatów tego artykułu należą: zarysowany w punkcie pierwszym model przyczynowości kolistej, podane w punkcie drugim kontrargumenty wobec krytyki kauzalnej teorii czasu (uchylenie tzw. „argumentu z niedomiaru”) oraz rozwinięta w punkcie trzecim interpretacja ontologiczna Bolzano-Dedekinda definicji zbioru nieskończonego. Rezultaty powyższe wspierają koncepcję Wszechświata nieskończonego i dynamicznego, która jest alternatywą dla idei „Wszechświata blokowego”.
    The considerations presented in this paper elaborate and complete some threads examined in my published book Realność czasu [The Reality of Time]. I extend here the earlier sketched inifinistic (multi-world) and dynamic image of real being. I propose a model “of circular causality”, I argue for an asymmetric version of causal theory of time, and I present an ontological interpretation of Bolzano-Dedekind definition of infinite set.

    In the article attention is paid to the analogy between considerations concerning the number of objects that are the empirical basis for the theory of being and investigations concerning the size of the models necessary for solving formulas on the ground of calculus of names without quantifiers. In both cases a minimum of two objects appear as an answer to the question that has been posed. In explaining the noticed similarity the meaning aspect, as different from the referential aspect of cognition of reality, is pointed to.

    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie interpretacji, w świetle której można odczytać charakterystyczny aspekt rozumienia bytu w filozofii przedsokratejskiej. Punktem wyjścia jest podkreślenie idei miejsca w etymologii czasownika „być”: „być” to generalnie ‘znajdować się w świecie’. Następnie świat zostaje scharakteryzowany jako coś obiektywnego i implicite istniejącego (to jest znajdującego się poza umysłem człowieka) oraz mającego „drugi plan” – ukryty za zjawiskami porządek. Próby jego rozumienia nazwano badaniami nad naturą („rzeczy”), która oznaczała realną podstawę świata i jego aktywne źródło–coś, co konstytuuje wewnętrznie wszystkie przedmioty zmysłowe, dostarczając budulca, struktury i praw rozwoju. Na tym tle (które stanowi kontekst interpretacyjny) zostaje określone rozumienie bytu jako elementu natury–czegoś identyfikowanego dystrybutywnie i zawsze w powiązaniu z samoistną naturą(niesamodzielnego). Element ten można natomiast rozumieć na dwa sposoby: jako przedmiot dostępny zmysłami wraz z konstytuującą go naturą, na przykład konkretne drzewo, albo samą tę wewnętrzną naturę, na przykład ogień (Heraklit) czy cztery pierwotne elementy (Empedokles), z której wywodzą się lub składają przedmioty zmysłowe.
    The purpose of the article is to present an interpretation in the light of which one can read a characteristic aspect of the understanding of being in Presocratic philosophy. The starting point is to emphasize the idea of a place within the etymology of the verb “be”: “to be” generally means ‘to be in the world’. Then the world is characterized as something implicite existing (i.e. beyond the human mind) and having a “second plane”: order hidden behind phenomena. Attempts to understand it were called investigations into the nature (of “things”), which meant the real foundation of the world and its active source – something that internally constitutes all sensual objects, providing building materials, structures and laws of development. Against this background (interpretive context), the understanding of being is defined as an element of nature – something identifiable in a distributive way and always in connection with (dependent) with self-contained nature. This element can be understood in two ways: as an object accessible to the senses taken together with the constituting nature, e.g. concrete tree, or the very internal nature, e.g. fire (Heraclitus) or four basic elements (Empedocles) from which sensual objects originate or consist.

    Pedagogika wspólczesna staje przed nowym wyzwaniem, jakim jest opracownaie teorii wiedzy. W zwiąku z tym wykorzystać musi dorobek tych wszystkich dyscyplin, dla których wiedza jest obiektem i terenem badań. Przede wszystkim psychologia (kognitywistyka), dydaktyka ogólna, teoria informacji i technologie informacyjne, ale także metodologia badań systemowych. W opracowaniu dotykam tylko nielicznych problemów dookreślajacych siatkę pojęciową i problemową tego zakresu badań.
    Nowadays the challenge for pedagogic is to study the knowledge theory. In this case it uses scientific achievements of: cognitive psychology, didactics, information theory, ICT and methodology of system research. In my study I would like to show a part of issue structure from this range of topic.

    The following article attempts to answer the question if it is possible to find criteria enabling to solve the ethical-political dilemmas such as the one of Rospudy Valley on the grounds of Jonas ethical theory, the answer to this question is reconsidered in the context of Jonas philosophical project which is the establishment of ethics for life in the ontology of organic being. On the grounds of metaphysics, Jonas justifies the constitutive link between consciousness with being and the absolute good in affirmation of the importance of existence over non-existence. Jonas shows both the continuity and special discontinuity of the human being within the domain of the livings However, he is not able to support his argument that the human being is the primary object of responsibility being ahead of other forms of organic life. Jonas ethical theory ought to include the specification of moral principles that will be useful for clarifying the matters that must be preserved and defended.
