Opis:
The aim of this article is to present the importance of gender studies in comparative pedagogy and the role of women scientists in its development. The first part of the text is devoted to a gradual comparative increase in interest in gender issues, both in scientific and didactic contexts. This is followed by the presentation of two basic theoretical approaches to the analysis of cultural gender in comparative pedagogy in the context of inequality: direct gender inequality and structural inequality (gender, class, race). Both approaches are illustrated with examples of research and publications. In the second part of the text, an attempt is made to show the role of women as researchers in the development and organisation of comparative pedagogy, concerning scholarly work and in holding positions in international associations of comparative pedagogy. The article is intended to contribute to understanding the phenomenon of expanding the problem field of comparative pedagogy.

The research objective of the study is to analyse the essence and specificity of energy security in the light of research on international security. Thus, various theoretical approaches, useful in the analysis of energy security issues, were taken into account. The analysis allows us to conclude that energy security issues take into account long-term development trends as well as unpredictable events related to the functioning of energy market and energy technology. Thus, unexpected, sudden phenomena resulting from the dynamics of the international environment gain in importance. The dilemma related to non-linear thinking often ignores a variety of solutions that, taken together, can cause a radical turn in the energy security concept and its evolution.

Zmienność otoczenia zewnętrznego wpływa na zamiany zachodzące w otoczeniu wewnętrznym organizacji (przedsiębiorstwa). Jednym w czynników, które muszą być brane pod uwagę w rozwoju organizacji, jest bezpieczeństwo. Zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa organizacji wymaga posiadania menedżera bezpieczeństwa, który będzie realizował proces permanentnego stabilnego funkcjonowania organizacji w zmiennym otoczeniu. Należy pamiętać, że bezpieczeństwo można rozpatrywać w różnych punktów widzenia, nie tylko jako stan wojny lub pokoju w danym państwie, ale także stan zagrożenia ze strony konkurentów itp. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie kulturowego modelu menedżera bezpieczeństwa wraz z czynnikiem elastyczności. Model jest wynikiem badań teoretyczno-koncepcyjnych autora niniejszego opracowania, które wzbogaca dyscyplinę nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości.
The variability of the external environment affects the changes taking place in the internal environment of the organization (enterprise). One of the factors that must be taken into account in the development of an organization is security. Ensuring the security of the organization requires having a security manager who will implement the process of a permanent stable functioning of the organization in a changing environment. It should be remembered that security can be considered from various points of view, not only as a state of war or peace in a given country, but also as a state of threat from competitors, etc. The aim of the study is to present a cultural model of a security manager with a factor of flexibility. The model is the result of theoretical and conceptual research by the author of this study, which enriches the discipline of management and quality sciences.

Opis:
This work was an attempt at an analysis of the interaction between a firearm and a human, exemplified by a cal. 9 mm submachine gun (SMG), PM-98 GLAUBERYT and a trained, professional shooter - a Police special team operator. The results of the analysis made it possible to develop several guidelines aimed at designing the dynamic performance of SMGs to improve their aiming accuracy. In connection with this work, experimental tests were performed at a firing range, where the process of firearm discharge was recorded using a Phantom slow-motion digital camera. What followed was the analysis of the video record using the Tema dedicated computer software. The SMG’s dynamic performance was adjusted to reduce the hit scatter. Based on the results of the empirical tests at the firing range, physical and mathematical models of the SMG-operator system were formulated. The SMG-operator system was simulated in the Scilab software, which provided time-based variation trends of the kinematic quantities that characterized the movements of individual modelled objects. The variation trends determined included displacement, velocity and acceleration of the SMG, its bolt assembly, and the human operator as a function of time. The results of the theoretical analysis were compared to the empirical test results from the firing range. It was found that in the virtual modelling space, the SMG model had a performance similar to that of its real counterpart. With the theoretical model verified, several performance parameters of the SMG were modified and guidelines were developed that could improve the aim.
W pracy podjęto próbę analizy wzajemnego oddziaływania broni i człowieka na przykładzie 9 mm pistoletu maszynowego PM-98 GLAUBERYT i wyszkolonego, zawodowego strzelca, którym był funkcjonariusz jednostki specjalnej policji. Otrzymane wyniki pozwoliły na opracowanie kilku wytycznych zmierzających do takiego kształtowania charakterystyki dynamicznej pistoletów maszynowych, aby zwiększyć ich celność. W związku z tym przeprowadzono badania eksperymentalne na strzelnicy, rejestrując proces strzelania szybką kamerą cyfrową Phantom. Następnie wykonano analizę zarejestrowanych obrazów, wykorzystując specjalistyczne oprogramowanie Tema. W celu zmniejszenia rozrzutu broni dokonano korekty jej charakterystyki dynamicznej. Na podstawie wyników badań empirycznych sformułowano modele fizyczne i matematyczne układu strzelec-pistolet maszynowy oraz przeprowadzono badania symulacyjne układu w programie Scilab, otrzymując przebiegi zmienności w czasie wielkości kinematyczne charakteryzujące ruch poszczególnych obiektów modelu. Wyznaczone przebiegi zmienności obejmują przemieszczenia, prędkości i przyspieszenia broni, zamka i człowieka w funkcji czasu. Uzyskane z analizy teoretycznej wyniki porównano z wynikami otrzymanymi z badań empirycznych. Stwierdzono, że w warunkach przestrzeni wirtualnej broń zachowuje się podobnie jak obiekt rzeczywisty. Mając zweryfikowany model teoretyczny dokonano zmiany niektórych parametrów broni i uzyskano wytyczne umożliwiające poprawę jej celności.

Pojęcie „dobra dziecka” jest terminem prawnym, ale ze względu na jego istotę oraz znaczenie dla praktyki organów wymiaru sprawiedliwości znajduje się w obszarze zainteresowania przedstawicieli także innych dyscyplin naukowych, m.in. psychologii, pedagogiki czy socjologii. Przepisy prawa nie precyzują pojęcia „dobra dziecka”. Jest to celowy zabieg ustawodawcy, który w ten sposób podkreślił elastyczność w kreowaniu sytuacji prawnej dziecka. Może to jednak stwarzać trudności praktyczne dla sądu i współpracującego z nim w ramach postępowania sądowego psychologa. Wobec braku definicji legalnej istnieje ryzyko nadmiernej subiektywizacji oceny dobra dziecka w określonym stanie faktycznym, stąd potrzeba konkretyzacji tego pojęcia poprzez tworzenie definicji czy kryteriów dobra dziecka. W artykule dokonano przeglądu literatury w poszukiwaniu modeli teoretycznych oraz badań wyjaśniających rozumienie omawianego pojęcia. Przedstawienie odpowiedzi na pytanie o to, czym jest dobro dziecka i co służy jego interesowi, rozpoczęto od omówienia trzech dyskursów troski o dziecko. Następnie zaprezentowano wybrane modele wyjaśniające dobro dziecka z perspektywy psychologii oraz zawierające opis kryteriów tego pojęcia w oparciu o literaturę i przepisy prawa. Na podstawie przytoczonych w końcowej części artykułu badań empirycznych skonstruowano opis i wyjaśnienie pojęcia „dobra dziecka” w szerszym kontekście pokrewnych wobec psychologii dyscyplin nauk społecznych – pedagogiki i socjologii.
The concept of “child welfare” is a legal term, yet due to its nature and significance in the practices of judicial authorities, it falls within the sphere of interest for representatives of other academic disciplines as well, including psychology, pedagogy, and sociology. The legislation does not provide a definition of “child welfare”, which is a deliberate choice by legislators, emphasizing thereby the flexibility in shaping the legal situation of a child. However, this may pose practical challenges for courts of justice and psychologists collaborating with them in court proceedings. In the absence of a legal definition, there is a risk of excessive subjectivity in assessing the welfare of a child in a given factual situation. Hence, there is a need for specification by creating a definition or criteria for child welfare. This article undertakes a literature review to explore theoretical models and studies that explain the understanding of the aforementioned concept. The presentation of an answer to the question of what constitutes a child’s welfare and what serves their best interest began with an elaboration of three discourses about the concern of a child. Subsequently, selected models explaining child welfare are presented from a psychological perspective, accompanied by a description of the criteria based on the literature and law regulations. Drawing upon empirical studies cited in the final part of the article, a description and an explanation of the concept of “child welfare” were constructed within the broader context of related disciplines in the field of psychology and social sciences – namely, pedagogy and sociology.

The aim of the article is to show the presence of the concepts of interdisciplinarity, multidisciplinarity and heterogeneity in scientific texts in the field of social work, to compare the methodological status of social pedagogy and social work as areas of scientific knowledge also created thanks to interdisciplinary research, and to propose the postulate of the superiority of the pedagogical epistemological and methodological perspective in building theoretical foundations. Social work. It was pointed out that social pedagogy, both in the historical, institutional and subject and content aspects, is closely related to the basics of social work. Taking into account the scope of issues analyzed by social work and its methodological and historical conditions, a structured way of understanding the concept of interdisciplinarity of social work and locating it in the area of social pedagogy was proposed, calling the process of this location subdisciplinarization of social work. The problems discussed in the article are of a meta-theoretical and meta-methodological nature, and the main source of the research are texts on the basics of pedagogy and social work.
Celem artykułu jest prezentacja obecności pojęć: interdyscyplinarności, wielodyscyplinarności i heterogeniczności w tekstach naukowych z zakresu pracy socjalnej, porównanie statusu metodologicznego pedagogiki społecznej i pracy socjalnej jako obszarów wiedzy naukowej tworzonej także dzięki badaniom interdyscyplinarnym oraz zaproponowanie postulatu nadrzędności pedagogicznej perspektywy epistemologicznej i metodologicznej w budowaniu teoretycznych podstaw pracy socjalnej. Wskazano, że pedagogika społeczna, zarówno w aspekcie historycznym, instytucjonalnym, jak i przedmiotowym, treściowym, jest ściśle związana z podstawami pracy socjalnej. Uwzględniając zakres zagadnień analizowanych przez pracę socjalną oraz jej uwarunkowania metodologiczne i historyczne, zaproponowano uporządkowany sposób rozumienia pojęcia interdyscyplinarności pracy socjalnej oraz ulokowanie jej w obszarze pedagogiki społecznej, nazywając proces tego ulokowania subdyscyplinaryzacją pracy socjalnej. Podejmowane w artykule problemy mają charakter metateoretyczny i metametodologiczny, a głównym źródłem prowadzonych badań są teksty z zakresu podstaw pedagogiki i pracy socjalnej.

Wobec złożonych wyzwań, z jakimi musi się obecnie mierzyć polska politologia, zachodzi paląca potrzeba poważnej debaty nad kierunkiem ewolucji politologii w Polsce, zmian na gruncie tej dyscypliny, nad jej przyszłością. Rezultatem tej debaty powinien być program działań, które wzmocnią politologię polską, pozwolą na jej dalszy owocny rozwój, a także spowodują, że rozwiane zostaną wątpliwości odnośnie do naukowego znaczenia i społecznej roli politologii. Wszystko jednak zależy od samych uczonych – od ich zaangażowania, stąd pytanie: „renesans czy rozpad politologii?” pozostaje (niestety) otwartym. Niniejszy artykuł może być postrzegany jako swoista „zachęta” do podjęcia szerszej i systematycznej debaty środowiskowej, rezultatem której mogłyby być zręby nowego politologicznego programu naukowego, który z kolei mógłby zainspirować do nowych rozwiązań organizacyjnych i nowych formuł badawczych oraz stymulowałby procesy integracyjne w obrębie tegoż środowiska. Na potrzeby takiej debaty, w artykule przedstawiono zręby autorskiej koncepcji „IKR”: Integracja – Konsolidacja – Rekonfiguracja tematyczna. Jest to propozycja celująca w naprawę relacji naukowych (zawodowych) w obrębie polskiego środowiska politologicznego i poprawę kondycji naukowej dyscypliny, jak również zawierająca pewne postulaty organizacyjne oraz związane z badaniami i dydaktyką. Na końcu opracowania znalazły się dodatkowo pewne uwagi dotyczące miejsca teorii polityki w owym ewentualnym przyszłym programie rozwoju politologii. Autor broni stanowiska, zgodnie z którym teoria polityki mogłaby pełnić rolę facylitacyjną w procesie rozwoju polskiej politologii.
In the face of complex challenges Polish political science is now struggling with, there is an urgent need for a serious debate on the evolution of political science in Poland, on changes on its ground, and on its future. The outcome of such a debate should be a program of actions, which would strengthen Polish political science, allow for its further fruitful development, as well as will dispel the doubts about scientific meaning and social role of political science. However, everything depends on the scientists themselves – on their commitment; hence the question: “a renaissance or a breakup of political science?” remains (unfortunately) open. The paper may be perceived as an incentive to perform an extensive and systematic debate within political science community, which could be an inspiration for new organizational solutions and new research formulas, as well as would stimulate integrational processes within the community of political scientists. For the purpose of such a debate, the article presents the author’s concept of “ICTR”: Integration – Consolidation – Thematic Reconfiguration. It is a proposition aiming at repairing scientific (professional) relations within Polish political science community and improving the condition of the discipline, and it includes some organizational postulates and postulates referring to research and didactics. At the end of the paper some additional comments were made concerning the role of political theory in the future program of development of political science. The author defend the thesis that political theory could serve facilitation role in the process of development of Polish political science.

Several authors have researched workplace circumstances and employee performance in organisations. Personal observations, documented observations, and discoveries in the literature all provided an incentive for this investigation. Some systematic observations revealed that academic staff in Nigerian universities are subjected to some unfavourable workplace conditions, even though they are expected to perform well in teaching, publish quality research papers that can contribute to global knowledge and development, and engage in community development services. Major theories have attempted to explain employee productivity in the workplace. Using secondary data, this article explores the Two Factor model by Fredrick Herzberg, the Contingency theory of leadership and the Expectancy theory by Victor Vroom. They were most relevant in associating motivating factors with the work performance of employees in the organisation. The criticisms of each theory have paved the way for theoretical triangulation and, thus, a synthesis of all three theories to explain the work performance of academic staff members in Nigerian universities. The article resolved that incentives are indeed essential in order to increase the performance of academic staff in Nigerian universities.

The paper presents the results of theoretical calculations in terms of the G4MP2 composite method for cyprodinil-α-cyclodextrin (C0@α-CD) and cyprodinil-β-cyclodextrin (C0@β-CD) systems. Studies also covered analogous systems consisting of the anion (C-) and the cation (C+) of cyprodinil. The geometries of the cyprodinil molecule and ions were optimized on the basis of the DFT theory, using hybrid (B3LYP, PBE0), pure (B97-D) and “meta” (M06-2X) GGA functionals for selected Pople basis sets [6-311++G(d,p), 6-311++G(2d,p), 6-311++G(2d,2p)] and Dunning basis set (aug-cc-pVDZ). The research results suggest that the affinity of “guest” molecules for “hosts” is relatively low. Theoretical studies of the “guest-host” systems allow to predict the properties of the designed preparations.

Celem artykułu jest odniesienie się do wyzwań metodycznych związanych z walidacją konstruktów teoretycznych opracowanych w ramach normatywnych badań prowadzonych na gruncie połączonym rachunkowości finansowej i zarządczej. Dyskusja problematyki walidacji została przeprowadzona na podstawie studiów literaturowych z zakresu metodyki badań w naukach o zarządzaniu oraz własnych doświadczeń badawczych. Jako punkt odniesienia rozważań i przykład ilustrujący poruszane wątki został przyjęty projekt badawczy z zakresu narracyjnych ujawnień ryzyka, w efekcie którego powstała propozycja normatywnego konstruktu teoretycznego, i w ramach którego przeprowadzono walidację charakterystyczną dla podejścia konstruktywistycznego. Zidentyfikowano dwa zasadnicze kryteria walidacji konstruktów teoretycznych, które mają docelowo być podstawą normatywnych rozwiązań aplikacyjnych: adekwatność i możliwość nauczania. Integrację walidacji z pozostałymi etapami postępowania badawczego zilustrowano przebiegiem wybranego projektu.
The article aims to refer to the methodological challenges related to the validation of theoretical constructs developed as part of the normative research conducted basing on a combined financial and management accounting. The discussion of the issue of validation was carried out based on literature studies in the field of research methodology in management sciences and conclusions from the research experience. A research project in the field of narrative disclosures of risk was adopted as a reference point for considerations and an example illustrating the topics discussed, as a result of which a proposal for a normative theoretical construct was created, and under which a validation characteristic of the constructivist approach was carried out. Two basic criteria for the validation of theoretical constructs have been identified, which are to ultimately constitute the basis of normative application solutions: adequacy and teachability. The integration of validation with the remaining stages of the research procedure was illustrated by the course of the selected project.

This study presents a review of theoretical concepts described in the literature that explain how corporate events might be perceived by investors. The theoretical discussion in this paper is related to three corporate events: CEO turnovers, dividend payouts, and block trades. The objective of this analysis is to identify and systemise the theoretical background for the drivers of shareholders’ responses to these three corporate decisions. In other words, I will provide answers to the following questions: why is the market reaction sometimes positive and other times negative, and why is it sometimes stronger and other times weaker? Based on the literature review, I will show that each of the analysed corporate events might be perceived by shareholders as either positive or negative signals concerning perspectives and future cash flows. Consequently, corporate events might drive share prices up or down. However, shareholder reaction to one type of the event, such as CEO turnovers, will not always be homogeneous – only positive or negative. The strength of this reaction may also vary. The main reasons for these variations are the effectiveness of corporate governance mechanisms, investors’ perceptions of the event, the event’s peculiarities, and the company’s characteristics, as well as other relevant circumstances and factors.

W artykule zaprezentowano trzy główne etapy rozwoju terminoznawstwa ukraińskiego okresu niepodległości Ukrainy. Pierwszy etap, w latach 1991–2000, to czas rozpadu ZSRR, kryzysu gospodarczego, masowej migracji, pogorszenia warunków życia i bytu ludności przy jednoczesnym wzroście ducha narodowego, świadomości, próby rewizji zrusyfikowanego systemu terminologicznego. Drugi etap, od 2001 do 2014 roku, związany jest z wysiłkami na rzecz przezwyciężenia kryzysu gospodarczego i ustanowienia wartości narodowych. Trzeci etap, od 2015 roku do dziś, również ma swoją specyfikę: cechują go inwazja Federacji Rosyjskiej na terytorium Ukrainy, pandemia covid, zmiana rytmu życia ludzi, zdalna nauka i komunikacja. I wreszcie dochodzi do gorącej fazy wojny Federacji Rosyjskiej w Ukrainie w latach 2022–2023. Jednak życie naukowe nie zamiera, choć intelektualiści emigrują. Na każdym z tych etapów scharakteryzowano badanie określonych systemów terminologicznych w rozprawach, monografiach, publikacjach podręczników i skryptów, organizację regionalnych, ogólnoukraińskich i międzynarodowych konferencji terminoznawczych, ukazano elementy współpracy międzynarodowej.
The article examines the main stages of the development of Ukrainian terminology during the period of Ukrainian independence. There were three chronological stages. The first one was between 1991–2000, the time of the collapse of the USSR, economic crisis, mass migration, deterioration of the life and livelihood of the populace. The second stage was from 2001 to 2014. It is associated with efforts to overcome the economic crisis and to establish national values. The third is from 2015 to the present. It also has its own specifics. Here we are speaking about the Russian Federation’s military invasion of the territory of Ukraine, the Covid pandemic, the change in the rhythm of people’s lives, remote learning and communication. And finally, the hot phase of the Russian Federation’s war on Ukraine in 2022–2023. However, scientific life does not stop, although the nation’s intelligence often migrates. In each of the stages mentioned, research on certain terminological systems is described in theses, monographs, the publication of textbooks and manuals, regional, Ukrainian, and international terminological conferences, and the elements of international cooperation are shown.

Five-axis milling is a modern, flexible and constantly developing manufacturing process, which can be used for the machining of external cylindrical gears by means of cylindrical end mills and special disc mills on universal multi-axis machining centres. The article pre-sents a new method of positioning the tip and the axis of the end mill and the disc cutter in order to ensure a constant value of deviation of the theoretical roughness Rth along the entire length of the tooth profile. The first part presents a mathematical model of the five-axis milling process of the cylindrical gear and an algorithm for calculating the Rth deviation values. The next section describes the positioning of the end mill and the disc cutter. Then, a new method for the empirical determination of the distribution of the involute root angle Δui and the da-ta description by means of the interpolation function are presented and described. In the conducted numerical tests, the influence of the geometrical parameters of the cylindrical gear on the deviation Rth is determined, assuming a constant Rth value in the five-axis milling pro-cess.

In this study, the flotation and aggregation characteristics of muscovite mineral particles were determined as a function of dodecyl amine hydrochloride (DAH) concentration and correlated with the theoretically calculated “particle-particle” and “particle-bubble” interactions using extended DLVO theory. In this series of tests, the flotation and aggregation characteristics of the muscovite mineral were determined with micro-flotation and turbidity measurements, respectively. In addition to these analyses, surface tension measurements were carried out as a function of pH. Also, the zeta potential and contact angle measurements were also performed as a function of DAH concentration prior to the flotation and aggregation tests. The experimental studies showed that while almost minimum and maximum points of flotation and turbidity values were obtained up to a critical concentration of DAH as 6.10-6 mol/dm3, a significant increment was obtained following that concentration. Accordingly, while repulsive forces dominated the interactions up to that concentration, the attractive forces became more effective at further concentrations such as 2.10-5, 4.10-5, 8.10-5, and 1.10-4 mol/dm3 DAH concentrations for both “particle-particle” and ”particle-bubble” interactions. This in turn suggested that the determination of energy barrier heights between ”particle-particle” and ”particle bubble” may provide important insights into both flotation and aggregation characteristics of particles.

Today, there is a clear need in developing a unified theoretical model of legal argumentation viable for all areas of legal practice and legal doctrine. Despite the existence of several models within either general argumentation theory or multiple judicial-reasoning doctrines, none of them can be used as a universal tool for studies of legal argumentation. The aim of this article is to suggest a theoretical model of legal argumentation viable for analysis of legal argumentation not only in judicial reasoning but also in other areas, e.g., law making, law application, or law interpretation. The subject matter of this article is a theoretical model of legal argumentation as a universal multidisciplinary theoretical basis for legal argumentation analysis. The theoretical model of legal argumentation encompasses an argumentative situation, a body of legal arguing, instruments of legal arguing and argumentation, a reconstruction and an evaluation of legal argumentation. In its turn, the body of legal arguing includes: parties of legal arguing, a subject of legal arguing, and a content of legal arguing. The instruments of legal arguing include legal and other arguments, argument schemes, argumentation structures, and rules of legal argumentation.
Obecnie istnieje wyraźna potrzeba opracowania jednolitego modelu teoretycznego argumentacji prawniczej, przystającego do wszystkich dziedzin praktyki i doktryny prawa. Pomimo istnienia kilku modeli – czy to w ramach ogólnej teorii argumentacji, czy to w ramach rozmaitych doktryn rozumowania sądowego – żadnego z nich nie można użyć jako uniwersalnego narzędzia do badania argumentacji prawniczej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zasugerowanie teoretycznego modelu argumentacji prawniczej, odpowiedniego dla analizy nie tylko w rozumowaniach sądowych, lecz także w pozostałych obszarach, np. w legislacji czy też w procesie stosowania lub wykładni prawa. Przedmiotem opracowania jest teoretyczny model argumentacji prawniczej jako uniwersalnej multidyscyplinarnej bazy teoretycznej dla analizy argumentacji prawniczej. Teoretyczny model argumentacji prawniczej obejmuje sytuację argumentacyjną, elementy sporu prawnego, instrumenty sporu prawnego i argumentacji prawniczej, rekonstrukcję i ocenę argumentacji prawniczej. Z kolei elementy sporu prawnego obejmują: strony sporu prawnego; przedmiot sporu prawnego; treść sporu prawnego. Instrumenty sporu prawnego to: argumenty prawne i inne, schematy argumentacyjne, struktury argumentacyjne oraz zasady argumentacji prawniczej.
