Opis:: W 1844 r. ukazało się dzieło Maksa Stirnera Jedyny i jego własność, w zamyśle obrazoburcze, w praktyce zaś zbagatelizowane nawet przez władze państwowe, które rezygnując z konfiskaty książki, uznały pomieszczone w niej pomysły za niedorzeczne, a tym samym całkowicie niezagrażające porządkowi publicznemu. Krytyki Jedynego dokonali jednak Karol Marks i Fryderyk Engels, wyśmiewając bezlitośnie teoretyczny projekt Stirnera na stronach Ideologii niemieckiej. Intryguje objętość tej krytyki – jest ona dość potężna jak na tak, zdawałoby się, marne dzieło, a przy tym o wiele obszerniejsza niż Stirnerowski oryginał. Czy bezwartościowemu dziełu poświęca się tak wiele uwagi? W artykule podjęta została próba ukazania rzeczywistego stosunku do – jak by chcieli Marks z Engelsem – utopijnej i absurdalnej figury Stirnerowskiego Jedynego. Na tle krytyki Stirnera przyglądam się Marksowskiemu ujęciu człowieka i społeczeństwa. Czy nie można twierdzić, że Marksa opis rzeczywistości jest równie absurdalny i niemożliwy do zrealizowania jak pomysły Stirnera?

Opis:: AESTHETIC SUPERLATIVES – CRYPTO-ENSLAVEMENT The highest ideals of many estheticians are connected with the glorification of different forms of slavery. There are other ‘holy words’ which belong to this category and we use them as our highest ratings. Together with them we take the attitudes, relationships, self-portraits incompatible with freedom, and ultimately with the idea of truth, which is a prerequisite of freedom – and while accepting these attitudes, entering into this relationship with art, nature and other people, imaging ourselves – we even feel proud of it. This form of crypto-enslavement is connected with such ideas and words as pleasure, delight, fascination, sublime, wonder, authenticity, expression (this one in particular). They are often used in the context of beauty, experience, creative work, tasks, role, essence of art.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to present, based on the author's research, identity problems and conflicts of social roles experienced by women with acquired disability, which is a consequence of cancer. The research shows that numerous tensions and dilemmas occur in relation to a conflict between being a disabled woman and this woman`s family, professional and social roles. Disability is connected with inability to perform all former roles and the need to reorganize everyday life, thus affecting the image of oneself. Therefore, the situation of becoming disabled is a critical moment, which forces the redefinition of ‘Ego’, the change of former lifestyle and of performed roles as well as relations with other people. In order to cope with these challenges and adapt to change, women take various action strategies.
Celem artykułu jest prezentacja, w oparciu o badania autorskie, problemów tożsamościowych oraz konfliktów ról jakich doświadczają kobiety z niepełnosprawnością nabytą, która jest konsekwencją choroby nowotworowej. Jak wynika z badań, pomiędzy rolami pełnionymi w sferze rodzinnej, zawodowej i społecznej a rolą osoby niepełnosprawnej pojawiają się liczne napięcia i dylematy. Niepełnosprawność wiąże się z niemożnością realizowania wszystkich dotychczasowych ról i koniecznością reorganizacji życia codziennego, rzutując tym samym na obraz siebie. Sytuacja, w której jednostka staje się osobą niepełnosprawną to moment krytyczny wymuszający redefinicję „Ja”, zmianę dotychczasowego stylu życia, realizowanych ról i relacji z innymi ludźmi. Aby poradzić sobie z tymi wyzwaniami i zaadoptować się do zmian, kobiety podejmują różne strategie działania.

Opis:: The paper is devoted to a holistic analysis of the scientific-organisational and scientific-didactic activity of the Head of the Institute of Russian and Ukrainian philology, Professor Andrzej Sitarski (2008–2019). In the paper, the author presents her reflections on the status of ego-texts along with their categories. The authorʹs attention is primarily focused on the evaluation of Professor Sitarski’s role in the upbringing of talented linguists, as well as on his personal contribution to the development of Poznań Ukrainian studies. The in-depth analysis is conducted on the basis of the category of memory that is depicted in ego-text genres, including the genre of memoirs-dedications. Professor Sitarski has an outstanding linguistic personality of a bilingual that boils down to particular verbal and nonverbal properties represented through his psychotype – his abilities of the elite linguistic character of a scientist and lecturer of Russian language are distinctive for him.

Opis:: The aim of this article is to examine the civic and cultural identities of two aristocrats who held important offices and belonged to the ruling elite of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the late eighteenth century: the last Vice-Chancellor of Lithuania, writer, and economist, Kazimierz Konstanty Plater (1749–1807), and the last Grand Treasurer of Lithuania, diplomat, and composer, Michal Kleofas Ogiński (1765–1833). The analysis of the ego-documents of the Ogiński and Plater families helps answer the question why these two aristocrats, promoting the ideas of the Enlightenment, in 1795 chose different paths: Ogiński emigrated to Italy where he developed close ties with the cultural elite of Florence but never abandoned the idea of active struggle, whereas Plater stayed in Lithuania. Plater made compromises with the invaders. He sought to figure out the governing mechanism of the Russian Empire and to secure protection and support from the new government.

Opis:: Autorka, wykorzystując koncepcję stanów Ja, dokonuje analizy warunków kształtowania się stanu Dorosłego we współczesnym społeczeństwie. Szczególną uwagę zwraca na charakterystyczne cechy kultury masowej i mediów, kontekst polityczny, środowisko rodzinne, a przede wszystkim na system edukacji. Wnioski skłaniają do konstatacji o deficycie stanu Dorosłego w różnych obszarach rzeczywistości i do refleksji nad konsekwencjami takiego stanu rzeczy zarówno dla rozwoju jednostek, jak i kondycji społeczeństwa.
The author, making use of the concept of Ego states, analyses the conditions for forming the Adult state in the contemporary society. She pays special attention to characteristic features of mass culture and media, political and family context, and, above all, to education system. The conclusions she draws confirm the deficit of the Adult state in various spheres of reality and make us reflect on the impact of such a situation both on the development of individuals and on the condition of the society.

Opis:: Human life has become much more complicated since living in the twenty-first century. At times, it is impossible to cope on one’s own. Therefore, various assistance and intervention efforts are gaining importance in this difficult post-modern reality. One of them is lifelong vocational guidance. The new model of human life however, has sparked the need to develop new models in guidance, too. A number of researchers from various fields of science took this certainly difficult challenge. The first modern theories of vocational guidance of M. Savickas and J. Guichard appeared at the beginning of the twenty-first century and are based on the “Life Design” model. Nevertheless, there are doubts whether they can be applied to school youth.
Współczesna rzeczywistość skomplikowała życie człowieka. Nie w każdej sytuacji jest on w stanie samodzielnie sobie poradzić. W trudnej postmodernistycznej rzeczywistości XXI wieku na znaczeniu zyskują więc różne działania pomocowe i interwencyjne. Zalicza się do nich m.in. całożyciowe poradnictwo kariery. Nowy model życia człowieka spowodował jednak potrzebę wypracowania nowych modeli, również w poradnictwie. Tego z pewnością niełatwego wyzwania podejmuje się wielu badaczy wywodzących się z różnych dziedzin nauki. Pierwsze nowoczesne teorie poradnictwa kariery M. Savickasa i J. Guicharda zostały wypracowane na początku XXI wieku i opierają się na modelu konstrukcji życia Life Design. Pojawiają się jednak wątpliwości, czy mogą być wykorzystane w pracy z młodzieżą szkolną.

Opis:: Zróżnicowanie i skończoność człowieka wobec boskiej nieskończoności i otwartości na to, co większe i nowe Kartezjańskie „Cogito ergo sum” determinuje nowoczesne myślenia poprzez podkreślenie znaczenia „ego” („ja”). W związku z tym wielu ludzi żyjących w swej indywidualnej, konkretnej, historycznej sytuacji, ma tendencję do stawania się absolutnym i niezależnym podmiotem i panem własnego życia, myśli i postaw. Poszczególne czynniki ich biografii, takie jak miejsce i data urodzenia, płeć, język, zawód, przynależność religijna itp. określamy (zaczerpniętym ze współczesnej egzegezy biblijnej) terminem „kontekst”. Pośród mnogości różnych „ego” zauważamy takie „ja”, które (z własnej perspektywy) są „nie-ja”; nazywamy je: „wy” lub „my”. Następnie opisany jest rozwój nowoczesnej myśli zachodniej w świetle koncepcji „osoby”. W myśli zachodniej „osoba” jest rozumiana głównie jako jednostka, choć filozofia i teologia średniowieczna podkreśla zarówno indywidualność, jak i relacyjność. Trudność w tłumaczeniu terminu „osoba” w różnych środowiskach kulturowych ukazana została w odniesieniu do języka japońskiego. Pełniejsze zrozumienie człowieka osiągamy tylko wtedy, gdy poznamy jego ograniczenia, zwłaszcza w nauce i technice, i gdy przywrócimy poczucie nieskończoności. Kanadyjski filozof Charles Taylor przypomina, że w dzisiejszym świecie spotykamy nie tylko ludzi, którzy całkowicie porzucili wiarę w Boga i żyją w radykalnej autodeterminacji, ale jest także wielu takich, którzy oczekują spełnienia w życiu bezinteresownym, osadzonym w nadziei na nowe życie pochodzące od Całkiem Innego, którego nazywamy Bogiem – i solidarnie działają na rzecz pojednania, pokoju i sprawiedliwości.
Descartes’ slogan “Cogito ergo sum” determines modern thinking by emphasizing the “ego”. Consequently, many people, living in their individual concrete historical setting, tend to become the absolute subjects and masters of their own lives, with their thinking and behavior independent of any other. We call the various factors of their biography – place and date of birth, gender, language, profession, religious affiliation, etc. – “the context”, a term that we borrow from modern biblical exegesis. The vast plurality of egos, however, makes us aware of the existence of innumerable other egos, which – from one’s own point of view – are non-egos; we call them “you” or “we”. Subsequently, the development of modern Western thought is described in view of the concept of “a person”. In the Western thought “a person” is mainly understood as an individual, although in medieval philosophy and theology, it implies individuality and relationality. The difficulty of translation of the term “person” in different cultural surroundings is demonstrated with reference to the Japanese language. We reach the full understanding of other people only if we come to know their limitations, especially in science and technology, and if we restore our sense of the infinite. The Canadian philosopher Charles Taylor reminds us that, in today’s world, not all people have completely abandoned their faith of God and live by radical self-determination, but that there are still quite a few who expect their fulfilment in a life of selflessness, embedded in the hope for a new life to come from the Totally-Other, which we call “God”, and working in solidarity for reconciliation, peace and justice.

Opis:: The article deals with the issue of the informative value of Galician law journals in research on the history of notaries public in the years 1871–1914. The text presents the analysis of such titles as „Kwartalnik Stowarzyszenia Kandydatów Notarialnych w Krakowie”, „Prawnik”, „Przegląd Sądowy i Administracyjny”, „Urzędnik w Połączeniu z Prawnikiem” [“Quarterly of the Association of Notary Candidates in Krakow”, “Lawyer”, “Judicial and Administrative Review”, “The clerk combined with the lawyer”]. A large part of their content was devoted to texts on the notary public’s services. The continuity, cyclicality and quality of published materials are noteworthy, as they provide opportunities for research on the professional group of notaries, especially with the use of an ego-documentary perspective.
Artykuł podejmuje zagadnieniem wartości informacyjnej galicyjskich czasopism prawniczych w badaniach nad dziejami notariatu w latach 1871-1914. W tekście zajęto się analizą takich tytułów jak „Kwartalnik Stowarzyszenia Kandydatów Notarialnych w Krakowie”, „Prawnik”, „Przegląd Sądowy i Administracyjny”, „Urzędnik w Połączeniu z Prawnikiem”. Sporą część ich zawartości zajmowały teksty dotyczące notariatu. Na uwagę zasługuje ciągłość, cykliczność oraz jakość publikowanych materiałów, które stwarzają możliwości badań nad grupą zawodową notariuszy zwłaszcza z zastosowaniem perspektywy egodokumentalnej.

Opis:: A direct problem and an inverse problem for the Laplace’s equation was solved in this paper. Solution to the direct problem in a rectangle was sought in a form of finite linear combinations of Chebyshev polynomials. Calculations were made for a grid consisting of Chebyshev nodes, what allows us to use orthogonal properties of Chebyshev polynomials. Temperature distributions on the boundary for the inverse problem were determined using minimization of the functional being the measure of the difference between the measured and calculated values of temperature (boundary inverse problem). For the quasi-Cauchy problem, the distance between set values of temperature and heat flux on the boundary was minimized using the least square method. Influence of the value of random disturbance to the temperature measurement, of measurement points (distance from the boundary, where the temperature is not known) arrangement as well as of the thermocouple installation error on the stability of the inverse problem was analyzed.
