    The paper deals with the role of multilingualism in selected text types. The reflections on forms of multilingualism and occasions for using multiple languages in a text lead to the creation of a typologythat distinguishes between obligatory and optional use of multiple languages in text types. The obligatory multilingualism is constitutive in dictionaries, textbooks and teaching materials. Optional multilingualism, which was examined using the example of German advertising texts and grave inscriptions from Germany and Denmark, reinforces the main function of the text.

    The present paper involves a textlinguistic‑codicological analysis and attempts to identify the specific features of the Polish administrative language in the entries of the 19th c. parish register from the town of Busko‑Zdrój. The aim of the study is to answer the question as to whether the examined annotations can be regarded as a pattern of a parish register record, and henceforth as a text type. The author investigates the structure and characteristics of different register entries, with research field determined by the general structure and functionfunction of parish register records and annotations of these records.

    This article is a review of a monograph on genological research on speech species. The objects of this publication are tomb inscriptions from over 60 necropolises in the north-eastern Lublin Region, which is situated within the borders of the Orthodox Lublin-Chelm Diocese and in the western part of the Volyn oblast in Ukraine. These are ethnically, linguistically, culturally and religiously non-homogeneous areas. The analysis takes into consideration the structure, the type of the functions fulfilled by grave inscriptions, the pragmatic aspect and cultural specificity of the analyzed texts. The subject of the review is to discuss the content of the publication and to implement the research goals undertaken by the author. In assessing the scientific value of the monograph, the current methodological solutions and the role of the study in the context of the state of research in Polish text linguistics were taken into account. The reviewed monograph is a reliable empirical study, however, the adopted description model does not take into account semiotic features that would complete the information about the analyzed texts. The book may be a contribution to Slavonic dialectological studies, especially to the indication of mutual Polish-Ukrainian interferences. It constitutes a source for studying the vocabulary of the borderland. The work may be used for comparative studies of funeral texts.

    Da unter Forschern bemängelt wird, dass es an diachronischen empirischen Untersuchungen zu einzelnen Textsorten fehlt, versucht die vorliegende Analyse diese Lücke zu füllen. Die Wahl fiel dabei auf die Anfänge von verschriftlichten Testamenten. Die Autorin orientiert sich an dem unter Sprachhistorikern gängigen Diktum, dass Sprachgeschichte auch Textsortengeschichte ist. Dabei wählte sie als Untersuchungskorpus Quellenmaterial aus Breslau aus, das sie selbst erhob und transliterierte. Ausgegangen wurde vom geschichtlichen Hintergrund und den anschließenden Eintragungen testamentarischer Texte in die Stadt- und Kopialbücher. Dabei wurden vier Beschreibungsebenen festgelegt. Auf diesen Ebenen wurde auch das Untersuchungsmaterial aus Breslau analysiert. Im vorliegenden Artikel werden die Breslauer mittelalterlichen Bürgertestamente unter den Aspekten einer textlinguistischen Beschreibung behandelt, wobei sich vor allem zwei Ebenen – die axiologisch-ontische und die stilistische – im Vergleich zu der heutigen mentalen Vorstellung eines Testaments unterscheiden. Der Beitrag versteht sich auch als Einladung, weiterführende Untersuchungen in Bezug auf die Textsorte in ihrer Diachronie zu unternehmen, da ihr Gewinn für die Linguistik nicht zu unterschätzen ist.
    Scientists often criticize there are not enough diachronical empirical investigations about sorts of texts. The analysis I did, is trying to close this gap. The choose was falling on the beginning of testaments when they wrote down. I’m geared at the dictum of linguists, that the history of language is at the same time the history of sort of texts. The corpus of my investigation includes material I found by my own. I also transliterated it. Already in further time I analyzed the linguistic structure of testaments of citizens in Krakow. These investigations were very successful. Therefore, I wanted to use the same method for testaments of citizens in Breslau. I started with the historical background and the registration of testamentery texts in the so called “Stadtbuch” (registry of town). I explained four levels of description. The same method I used for the investigation of the last will of the citizens of Breslau. In this present paper I give attention on text-linguistical aspects. But there is one difference between two levels: the axiological-ontological and the stylistic level – compared to the contemporary conception of a testament. My contribution can also understand as an invitation for forthcoming investigations of the diachronic of such sorts of texts. The benefit for the subject linguistic shouldn’t underestimate.

    Vor uber 10 Jahren sind Arztbewertungsportale als ein neues mit Medizin zusammenhangendes Angebot im Internet entstanden. Seit dieser Zeit entwickeln sie sich dynamisch und werden langsam zu einem etablierten Marketinginstrument in der medizinischen Branche. In diesem Beitrag werden Arzte-Profile auf Arztbewertungsportalen als Vorstellungstexte aus textlinguistischer Sicht analysiert. Mit einem Modell textlinguistischer Beschreibung werden sie als Textsorte charakterisiert, indem auf ihre konstitutiven Merkmale auf verschiedenen Ebenen hingewiesen wird.
    Over 10 years ago, physician rating portals emerged as a new medicine-related offer on the Internet. Since then, they have been developing dynamically and gradually have became an established marketing tool in the medical industry. In this article, physician profiles on physician rating portals as introductory texts are analyzed from a linguistic point of view. Using a model of textual linguistic description, they are characterized as a type of text by pointing out their constitutive features at different levels.
