Opis:
The first part of the article is devoted to the analysis of the 19th-century Polish music theory whose main focus was to study the relationship between text and music in vocal composition, especially from the perspective of the music features of the language and poetic works. Among analysed authors the central place is occupied by two discourses of Józef Elsner, and also the writings of Karol Kurpiński, Jan Jarmusiewicz, Franciszek Mirecki, Józef Sikorski and Władysław Wiślicki. Their goals are threefold: to define the musical characteristics of Polish language, to demonstrate the metrical possibilities of Polish poetry and to establish rules for proper linking text with music. The most im-portant criteria for the proper construction of the vocal work compiled on this basis are included in the second part of the article. They are then used to the analysis of 10 songs of Mieczysław Karłowicz (based on the poetry of Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer). This allows to see some regularity, both in the application of the rules and derogations from them, proving the suitability of this research method and shedding new light on creative process of Karłowicz and Tetmajer.

Opis:
The aim of this paper is to give an insight into text mining techniques in the context of unstructured text collections of location independent job offers. In order to extract useful information, uncover interesting patterns and features of remote work, we analyze the five most popular and most visited websites containing job offers. We examine clusters of remote job offers, the keywords describing those clusters, as well as the linkages between strongly associated terms describing mobile work offers. It is interesting to observe the maturity of the text mining tools which have broadened their applications to new research topics and have become suitable to explore new phenomena.

Opis:
By dissolving the linear reception of texts, the recipient becomes a co-author intervening in the textual process (cf., Hess-Lüttich 1997: 134), who creates intertextual links, according to his or her reading strategy. This is how hypertexts and text networks arecreated, which still represent a linguistically under-researched area. What seems to be interesting here is the question of the differences between the two phenomena. The new trends can be particularly observed in business communication. For this reason, the present paper focuses on business-related texts to better illustrate the new linguistic phenomenon of text networking. The analysis is based on the Internet career pages of selected Polish and German public companies. The author attempts to find an answer to the question of the linguistic status of these websites, whether they should be defined as hypertexts or as components of larger networks of texts (textual genres). Furthermore, the aim of the paper is to point out relevant cultural and industryrelateddifferences based on the analysis of the frequency and specificity of text linking in the context of employee recruitment in Polish and German professional contexts.
