    Opis:
    The paper presents an analysis and survey of the content of digitized copies of three school mathematics books published in the Bulgarian language during the first half of the 19th century. The study offers the first overview and outline of the pedagogical approaches used to teach mathematics through mathematical term formation in that period based on the text of school mathematics books. The analysis includes a comparative description of the approach and study content as well as related topics and exercises connected to them. Finally, a conclusion regarding the structure and origin of the terms used to teach mathematical concepts in the Bulgarian language at the time is outlined.
    W artykule przedstawiono analizę treści zdigitalizowanych kopii trzech podręczników z matematyki, opublikowanych w języku bułgarskim w pierwszej połowie XIX wieku. Badanie stanowi pierwszy w swoim rodzaju przegląd podejść pedagogicznych stosowanych w nauczaniu matematyki z punktu widzenia tworzenia terminów matematycznych. Analiza zawiera porównawczy opis podręczników pod względem podejścia i treści, jak również związanych z nimi tematów i ćwiczeń. Na koniec przedstawiono wniosek dotyczący struktury i pochodzenia terminów używanych do nauczania pojęć matematycznych w języku bułgarskim w badanym okresie.

    Opis:
    The town of Križevci in north-western Croatia is located in a region where agriculture is one of the main economic activities. Historically, it is the former Military Frontier established by the Habsburgs in the 16th century to ward off the westward encroaching Ottomans. The presence of the Austrian army in the Military Frontier led to lively German-Croatian language contact, since German was not only the language of command, but was also used as the official language of administration. The dominance of German in the public life of the Military Frontier favored the adoption of many German loanwords into Croatian and played a significant role in the development of Croatian agricultural terminology at the beginning of the 20th century. Professional texts from the agricultural scientific journal “Gospodarska smotra”, which was published between 1909 and 1919, form the template for the research corpus for the following paper. In particular, it was researched how the German agricultural terms are embedded in the Croatian text and which adaptation processes had an effect on the borrowing and integration into Croatian. It was established that when German technical terms were adopted into Croatian, various forms of loan creations were used, with German technical term compounds being replaced by various forms of attributive compounds. Furthermore, many text passages from the research corpus contain reflections and arguments by their authors on the concept of technical language in general and thus offer a valuable source for sociolinguistic and technical language follow-up research.
    Die Stadt Križevci im Nordwesten Kroatiens befindet sich in einer Region, in der Landwirtschaft zu den wichtigsten wirtschaftlichen Tätigkeiten gehört. Historisch gesehen handelt es sich um die ehemalige Militärgrenze, die von den Habsburgern im 16. Jahrhundert zur Abwehr gegen die nach Westen vordringenden Osmanen errichtet wurde. Die Anwesenheit des österreichischen Heeres an der Militärgrenze führte zu einem regen deutsch-kroatischem Sprachkontakt, da Deutsch nicht nur die Befehlssprache war, sondern auch als offizielle Verwaltungssprache verwendet wurde. Die Dominanz des Deutschen im öffentlichen Leben an der Militärgrenze begünstigte die Übernahme vieler deutscher Lehnwörter ins Kroatische, und spielte eine maßgebliche Rolle in der Entwicklung der kroatischen agrarwissenschaftlichen Fachsprache am Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Grundlage für das Untersuchungskorpus für den folgenden Beitrag bilden Fachtexte aus der agrarwissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschrift „Gospodarska smotra“, die zwischen 1909 und 1919 erschienen ist. Hierbei wurde insbesondere untersucht, wie die deutschen landeswirtschaftlichen Fachbegriffe in den kroatischen Text eingebettet sind und welche Wortbildungsprozesse bei der Entlehnung und Integration ins Kroatische gewirkt haben. Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass bei der Übernahme von deutschen fachsprachlichen Begriffen ins Kroatische verschiedene Formen der Lehnschöpfung angewandt wurden, wobei deutsche fachbegriffliche Komposita durch verschiedene Formen von attributiven Verbindungen ersetzt wurden. Des Weiteren enthalten viele Textstellen aus dem Untersuchungskorpus Überlegungen und Auseinandersetzungen ihrer Verfasser zum Begriff der Fachsprache im Allgemeinen und bieten somit eine wertvolle Quelle für soziolinguistische und fachsprachliche Nachuntersuchungen.
